Good Morning Ya'll,it is Thrusday again already sometimes I just can't believe how fast it rolls around,use'd too I couldn't wait for the weekend,now the weekend is waiting on me.

Well got to get out and fix my main work,and riding around truck,my 98 Chevy Flatbed,it just quit runnind about a mile from home yesterday,I'm afraid it's broke the timing chain,or that is how it sounds,hoofed it home got the tractor with my hook,went and gotter and pulled her home,was joking with MsFurr yesterday about how eveything was messing up yesterday,and this was before my truck laid down,oh well onward and upward..................

Thinking of Mark and Christine Brewer, and the whole family today. The funeral for Mark's brother is this morning.

Nikki had pain yesterday when she woke up. She took a long nap, and that helped a lot, up to do crafts and play on the Wii. Temperature is moving around, so she is on 2 IV antibiotics until her counts come up (still at zero).

I'm not sure which pic will post first... the one is her and 2 year old sister Ashley boxing on the Wii ("Nikki, why did you beat me up?"), and the other is Nikki getting serious on Mario Kart. I think Bob better hide his Camaro keys!

I am mad at the Bank of America this mornin' and the "furr" has begun to fly! I charged a plane ticket for wife on a B of A Visa card back on May 26 and have not yet recieved a statement but probably will today. I went on line to check on my accounts and noted that they had added $1.62 to that credit card for "Credit Insurance Plan Coverage" which I know I did not authorize! I spent over an hour on the phone talking with 3 different B of A representatives and the upshot was that they now say I don't make enough money to have the kind of credit lines I have on various credit cards on which I owe virtually nothing! My dad always told me: "Watch the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves!" So that is what I was trying to do! A nasty email is on it's way to them now! I let them know that they were after the folks with fixed income's because our "employee--the president of the United States" baled them out with the taxpayer's funds or they might be out of a job also! Nuff said! I have put my happy face back on and need to go do some more house painting before it gets up close to 100 today.
Like those pictures of Nikki! I have decided to call her my "chipmunk" because of chipmunk kind of cheeks she shows! Tell her not to store all those nuts in her cheek, eat them and they will make her feel better! You call have a gooden and make things better!

Good Morning Big L and all DRR Folks,good to be alive and kicking this morning,going to be a HOT one today here,and all weekend,I quess it is the middle of June...........

Thank the good Lord all that was wrong with my truck was the dist.cap and rotor button,so easy fix,I don't know why it needed those parts,they where only 98 model orin.parts with only 219 miles on them,I mean good grief....... ..........Looks like they could make things to last a bit longer,don't ya think.................. ...................

Oh well here we go Friday again and I'm not going to get to race again this weekend,but to all that do,good luck be safe and most of all have fun and be thankful you got the chance to have this honor to play,so say thanks to our guy's and gal's out there fighting for our freedoms..........................

And Chuck and Ma B thank ya'll again for the reports and Chuck thanks for posting the pictures,tell her Mannie (my little boy) said ain't she pretty Dad,and I said she's a Doll Baby son a Doll Baby,prayers still being sent,to Nikki and all our friends,and Ma Brewer tell Mark ,all ya'll are still on our minds,Floyd you and you friend and his family are in our prayers as well,God Bless........................................

We were at a race when John Furr & I were making a run in hot rod and the announcer (Stevie I think) said "all right folks, all I know is on this run, the Furr's gonna fly!" Go get 'em guy!

We're going to Bristol for 3 races this weekend. Hoping you all turn on your win lights or have fun at whatever you do!

Mornin' all! Made it in before the rain. We got hit pretty hard Wednesday, might get some more today. No racing for me this weekend, Chrysler Classic has the track.

It was Nikki's 70th day back in the hospital yesterday. Fever came back in the afternoon,so she took a nap. It went away on its own. She was able to have some tomato soup, but the grilled cheese hurt. She is on a pump now for pain meds, so that is helping. The good news is the docs continue to feel that they are on the right track.

Mike , I am glad your truck is ok. I get the privledge of working on my old 1980 LTS 8000 tommorow, after we pour another wall on a sat. The steel braided air hose an 18" section that goes between to hard lines, I guess so it can flex when the engine is under torque, anyhow it rubbed against the positive batt cable until it wore through the insulation, guess what was next, sparks, burned a hole plumb threw the hose. I guess it had been rubbing since......1980. Like to never found someone to make me one.
Sure wish I could be racing at MM, but maybe next weekend.

BTW Chuck T. No there aint no Trout in Troutville, we do have plenty of Trout fishing her in our county though. I believe it was named after someone with the last name Trout. I might have to find out more about my town.

Yea Marty, I looked it up! It was named after the three Trout brothers who lived in that area before it became a town in 1956! According to what I read in the year 2000, the census showed a whoppin' 486 folks lived in Troutville--my kinda town--on less than a one square mile area.
The local motels musta been full the day they did the count! I'll bet it has grown up now, some 9 years later, hasn't it? Was an important shipping point back in the late 1800's when the railroad came through that area the history says! You must be the only "concreteman" in town, huh?

Top O The Morn, ya'll. Just got in from pouring that wall this am. Folks were having a big cookout that I was putting the walls in for. Started cooking pigs at 5 am. Man I was starving by the time we finished, they asked me to stay but food wasnt going to be ready till 5. I dont think I could wait that long.

Guy, your right, 3 bros. started this town. It is small, but rt 11 runs right through it. Right in front of my house. Rt 11 was the I-81 back in the day. We do have one of the busiest intersections on the east coast, so they say.
It has grown in the past 10 years, but there is a lot of land that wont and cant be developed because folks have had it put into a conservation program.
My house has been here since 1888. one of the first built here. Made the brick on site, has solid brick walls on exterior walls, and interior also. Solid as a rock, not hardly a crack in it.
And, yes, I am the only "concreteman" here in Troutville, but not much demand for me here. I have to go to Roanoke to work.

Mike, I think I'm gonna let that truck wait until Monday morn, need to cut grass and play a bit this evening. You know the saying "All work, no play, makes Marty a dull boy". Too bad I cant play at the dragstrip today.
