Good Afternoon Everyone;

Hope everyone is doing well.

I am hoping to make a few passes this coming Saturday. But first of all, I will be taking Peg (Ol' what's her name) over to Lucky Eagle casino so she can do a little slot machine gamblin'. She loves the penny slots, and it makes her happy.

After that, a quick stop at the VA and then home to see if the pump has come in. Hopefully, it will be here and we can go racing on Saturday.

Stopped by the VA today to find out about the scan I had last week. Seems one of the tumors is growing a bit. Grew 1 centimeter from 4 to 5 centimeters. Less than half an inch, but we agreed to try something new, or actually, old. going back on the infusion chemo. Every two weeks I get some chemo, and a chemo "pump" I wear for two days and go back and have the pump removed. Suppose to be a bit better than the pills with Avastin, but not as bad side effects. I have to get use to carrying around that damn pump again. Not a real big deal, but does take a bit of adjusting to.

Doc says he is a bit frustrated. apparently I have a very slow growing type of tumor, which is sort of good, but sort of bad because it is harder to kill or stop. May try radiation if all else fails, but not for a good while. In the mean time, Peg is stacking up the "honey dews" and I am trying my best to keep the race car together long enough to actually make a pass in elimanations. I am hoping that we can put together a good season next year, and maybe even travel to a few other tracks. Peg is looking to go places more often. Haven't yet convinced her that a track in Tenn. is a "place". Gonna be interesting.

OK, now I gotta tell the girls about the scan results. Maybe I will send a message in Mom's name, and let her field the questions. They can ask a lot of questions.

Gotta Go

Ken Gasbarri

Mornin' all! Game on! Just a little over 7 hours away to first pitch!

Susie, thanks! It feels good to be back in the playoffs. I've been a Pirate fan for over 35 years, really getting into it in the mid '70s, loved the We Are Fam-A-Lee team in '79, went to game 3 of the '79 World Series with my dad. This team reminds of the '79 team, lots of contributors, good guys on and off the field, play all out, for the fans and each other. Sounds like you have a good trip lined up for next month, that's great. I hope Mark makes lot of progress on the Olds.

Ken, I hope Peg has some of the luck my sisters, cousin, and buddy have had. The machines never like me. I'm about even overall playing the blackjack tables. I hope the chemo pump helps knock down the tumor. Glad you have your attitude, keep kicking that thing's butt. Try for Bristol in mid July, for the World Footbrake Challenge. Big Grin

A couple more minutes closer to game time... Let's go Bucs!!

Morning y'all!
last race of the year for me. Hopefully I can move up a little from 4th place in d/gas.
My buddy Wayne did a burnouts in his c/gas Nova and it just shut off. We pulled it back to the pits and pulled the distributor cap. She no moving. Pulled the didtributor and the gear and pin are good. Pulled off a valve cover and the rockers they no go up and down. Whoops broken timing chain timing gear or cam shaft. Probably tagged a few valves when it broke. He gets to watch me race today.
Y'all have a gooden.

Good Morning All;

Floyd; Too bad about you buddy. Hopefully, it will be minimal.

Mike; Buying supper is always a good idea.

We are about to head to the track. Having nostalgia nitro funny cars. I've got a lot of putting back together on the car between rounds. Track will be available for T-n-T after the show is over, but not sure I will have enough ass left to make a pass or two. If I can get it back together and fired up, I will be happy.

Other wise, things are good. Feeling fine, and even getting a few things done around here. Got a new roof on the shed, and waiting for a couple pieces before I can finish and paint.

Later

Morning y'all!
The ole hay hauler is making steam this weekend. Traction is always an issue with this truck. Not yesterday. First pass 1.419 60', 10.491. It stuck and had the wheels about 10" in the air. 2nd qualifier 10.561, 3rd qualifier 10.561..
Luckily we don't have a full field so I still get in on the 10.60 index.

Y'all have a gooden.

Good Morning All;

Hey Floyd. Good to hear. Hope you have some success.

Morning Mike. Sounds like your day is off to a good start.

We spent about 6 hours at the track yesterday. Got done what I needed to get done, but I had to overcome a lot of "stupid" before I came up to speed. The fuel pump has to be assembled and installed just so, or it won't fit in its very tight space. Took me awhile to get it right.

Anyway, after getting everything done, I was about wore out. Hotter than it was forecast to be, and having to do things two or three times took it's toll.

And, for whatever reason, the track and the nostalgia funny cars were not on the same page, so no show. I could pay $25.00 for some T-n-T passes, or wait until 8:00pm and make passes for free. I just put it back in the box and went home.

Mornin Y'all!
Precision Performance makes the best shifter on the market.It's almost idiot proof. But it's not old man proof, I managed to miss the 2-3 shift and lost first round. Shoot! Hit my best ever light on a pro tree and had a 1.401 60' and let it get away. Oh weel, didn't hurt anything and had a good time with my boy and a few hundred of my best friends.
Y'all have a gooden. Praying Angel hug

Mornin' all! Started out wet here this morning, but it's dry now, sun is out, and the Pirate game should start on time this afternoon. The last 2 games have been great, and it would be awesome to close out the series today at home.

Floyd, glad you had a good time, that's the important thing.

Ken, glad the car is coming back together. That fuel filter looked a little scary. Even gladder you're feeling good.

Mike, 20 pound catfish, now that's one to cook up! Would make a lot of cajun catfish fillets! Big Grin How is mom doing?

You all have a great day!

Mornin' all! Nice stretch of weather coming up here, cool at night, 70 and sunny during the day. I'm hoping for some sunshine from St Louis tomorrow night. Great game yesterday, the kid from the Cardinals was dealing strikes all day. Good forecast for the weekend for our $5k to win, should be a lot of fun.

Happy belated birthday to Christine!!

Good Afternoon All;

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad everyone is having good weather, and getting along fine.

Went out to the track Saturday. Didn't get to race, but did get some things done. And, I left my cell phone in the trailer. Didn't notice until this morning. (popular guy huh??). So, after droping off Peg's car at the shop, we drove over to the track and picked up the phone. Got back in the truck, and it would not crank. Long story short, both batteries were bad. So we are at the track, we have 4 batteries in the motorhome. (2 coach, 2 chassis), two batteries in the trailer, but both are weak and probably not good either. And we have 2 batteries in the race car. Care to guess which were the only batteries that would physically fit, AND had the same type connectors as the truck. Anyway, swapped batteries, drove over to Walmart of all places and forked out $222.42 for new batteries.

But, the worse part is now my back side is dragging, and I have had to postpone making Pastys for dinner. we will have them tomorrow. (I hope).

Other than that, routine day, nothing to report.

Ken Gasbarri
