Good Evening All;

Damn tragic thing in Boston. When they find who did it, it should be no press, no lawyer, no advocate. Just take them behind the shed and let justice prevail.

Well, looks like most everyone is doing well. That is good. No, that is great.

We are here in Tennesse, checking out the sites. Everyone said we had to do the Jack Daniels tour, so we did. Glad we did. very enjoyable, nice people, very interesting.

Also had lunch at "Miss Mary BoBo's boarding house. That too, was awesome. Must have ten dinning rooms. Served just like you were at a boarding house. One sitting, all the food on the table, and just a very friendly family atmosphere. Had a hostess at each table telling tales, introducing everyone, and being interested in everyone.

We had a grand day.

And, I am feeling great. No pill, no meds, no pain. I can run up three flights of stairs in the morning. Walk up those same stairs after a day of following Ol' what's her name around.

Going to some caves tomorrow.

BUT, gotta tell ya. We've been here a few days now. Tennesse is a gorgous state. Great roads, great scenery, great people. Seems like it is a great place to raise a family. Reminds me alot of Northern Wisconsin. BUT, so far, nothing to motivate us into packing up and making a hugh change in our lifestyle. We did visit a couple VA facilities. Very nice. Especially the Alvin C. York Campus at Murfreesboro. What a beautiful place. Very peaceful.

I Have a great Doc taking care of me in San Antonio. Have a place to stay near San Antonio Raceway, and not to far from the VA. Not a place I would call home, but nice enough.

Something mighty nice would have to come along to get me to move. I am, however, very glad we did this. Again, a very nice place. If ever, I should find myself in need of somewhere to go, Tennesse would certainly be near the top of the list.

OK, nuff for now.

Ya'll All Be Of Good Cheer!!!

Back in the day (thanks for posting Chuck, maybe someday I'll figure out an easy way to do it) that has to be close to 20 yrs ago, I have no idea who's golf cart that is, I'm sure Rick will know-he forgets nothing, it may have been just sitting at the front of staging lanes, we use to all hang out and watch runson top of the hill at the Farm...look at Rick, he has hair & no grey!! Mike was p'bly driving one of the only 4 second dragsters around then, or it may have been when you had the truck, it & the Camaro were magnetized together, who knows how many times we ran!! lol "daisy dukes" i can hear Mo'dee yelling at me now from the tower...good stuff, great memories.

Okay gang, time to get busy!!

Mornin' all! Over center day! Man, we had some boomers roll through last night. Just when the Pirates had a 4-2 lead after 2 on the Cards. I'm just glad the power didn't go out, since it was laundry night.

Ken, did you sample anything while on the JD tour?? Wink The boarding house sounds interesting. I ate like that once in Amish country in SE PA, where you all sat at the same table, and you passed the potatoes, meat, etc sround. I've only been to Bristol in TN, but I sure like it there.Big Grin

Mike, the pics are great stuff, especially with Manny and the critters in them. Yep, kinda country... got some breathing room, instead of standing between 2 house, and able to touch each one at the same time without moving. I think the neighbor has some cows in the field behind me.

Michelle (and Mike), gotta love the old memories. That's one of the great things about racing, hanging with people who are more like family.

Susie, Jared said he got to meet you. I swear, if he ever ran for president, he'd get elected in a landslide! Big Grin

You all have a great day!

Good Evening All;

Well, been another "Peggy" day. She drug my sorry butt to the Cumberland Caverns. It was a fun adventure, and I was able to climb all the steps and hills and such, and remain that handsome devil we have all come to know and love. Damnm, I am feeling good.

Michelle; We have a cart just like the one in the photo. Paid $150.00 for it and invest another few hundred bucks, but it gets Peg around the track, and when I need a tow, it is certainly up to it.

Chuck; Nope. We did the free (no samples) tour. But, I was able to purchase a special decanter for a friend and have it engraved with his name. Gonna leave it with him, so that on those occasions I drop over to discuss world affairs, we will have something to sip while we solve all the world's problems. If we don't get it done before the bottle goes dry, just have to make another trip.

And, if you ever do get the chance to eat at Miss Mary Bobo's, do it. Just like a day at Grandma's house.

OK, I am otta here.

Ya'll Be Of Good Cheer!!!

Mornin' all! My Friday, woo hoo! Got a busy weekend ahead, hope I get all my work done. I really want to finsih the move, get my cars, tools, and parts over to the new garage.

Ken, sounds like you're having a good time. I dig caves, they're pretty fascinating. I was looking up some old favorite songs and their videos last night, and Travis Tritt's "Anymore" was filmed at the Alvin C. York facility. Thought that was really cool. Funny how the drink runs out before the problems do.

Michelle, go get 'em this weekend! Be safe, and have a blast! That's what I say about my rusty old Ram, and 4 color Cutlass, I'm the blight around our pits. Big Grin

WAO, just remember which is the in, and which is the out, and you'll be good to go! Big Grin

Prayers for our friend Mouse. His mom had a stroke last week, that sounds pretty severe. Praying

You all have a good day!

Good evening everyone.
Thank you Chuck for te shout out about my mom.
She did have another stroke, and this one is pretty severe.
One good thing is, today she was released from the hospital and we have her in an excellent skilled nursing facility. Now she will be able to get all of the therapy she needs, so that we can get as much of her as back as possible.
We all could use your prayers.
Y'all have a good one.
See ya.

Mornin' all! Monday again.. ah well. Looking like a beautiful spring day out there, supposed to be in the mid to low 60s, sunny. I got some more work done on closing out of the old apartment, but man, just can't get finished. Time is running out of this month, too. Hopefully I can bust it out this week. I did announce at the track yesterday, felt good to be there, been missing it badly. Now I can't wait to get the engine back and be behind the wheel.

Mouse, great to hear your mom is able to go to a high quality facility. Strokes are scary things. Prayers for recovery. I hope you had fun in Tulsa.

Mike, sorry to hear about the Junior Olympics getting canceled. That's a bummer for Mannie. Bummer about the Minnie Winnie... so does a Hawks **** in the woods??? Laughing

Michelle, nice racing at ZMax, oh so close! I'm not backing off... you have a great car, great crew, and you're a great driver.... trophies are coming your way!! Smile

You all have a great day!

Morning gang...we are always gone to zmax jr olympics wknd, good thing tho I told the PE teacher at our elem school my kids must be very unphysically inclined since neither one can qualify for jr olympics lol...she told me maybe they were better race car drivers Wink I bet Mannie does a good job in the Olympics, I thought they would reschedule it.
Thanks Chuck, we had the best wknd, Adiayn & Mickey Whaley's son Cruz had the best time they played football, ate ice cream, went back & forth for steak & shrimp between our pits, while Madi enjoyed her me time, with HBO kicked back on the couch. I am a lucky girl, I do have awesome cars, and the best crew, period. Bunny was parked behind us so that was a lot of fun for us, she is one of my hero's since I was a little girl watching her at Elk Creek in that pink firesuit. Bear told me my husband was a one man army, he and Jr Houston worked to get a valve body out of the trans and found (with a lot of help from Marco Abruzzi by phone) something sticking and got it all back together. Dragster was running identical passes down the track, but when I staged it was doing a movement forward with the body in both time runs, so I was smiling when I left the line first round, couldn't ask for a better hot rod or husband Big Grin
Prayers and thoughts all around, hoping all of you have a great day!!
