Good Morning! Rain, Rain! Well today is a big day for Nikki. We are waiting for the bone marrow biospy to come back. Everything else is looking good! Nikki will be moving into the new hospital today and it figures, it's raining! Oh well! Just pray the bone marrow comes back negative for cancer cells! It has to everything else looks good!
Good luck, be careful for those who are going racing this weekend!!

Hey Everybody,I mean Morning All,it's raining here,but I see green so I'm good,unless I'm in a slimmy pond somewhere,well Rooster give them pipe racks(I love pipe racks)heck this weekend with the deuce,turn on the W's,and how much fun would it be to be in the 3rd.grade and have MsFurr going on a field trip with ya,I'd say WOOHOO WOOHOO,(somethings deserve 2 WOOHOO's)I'd be thinking I'm going to be having a ball with her on the bus,I can hear her now,bus driver pull over,I can drive this thing,and all the kids hollaring stop the bus,and her doing burnouts for the kids,Ok I'll stop dreaming,but I'd bet they will have a good time,anyhow I hope all ya'll's race dreams come ture this weekend,but as for me the rain has Won,to big of a chance of rain for me,but I remember a day when I went racing and it be snowing here at the house,matter of fact I remember it snowed in early Apr. here and my motor was in the basement of my motor builders house,and the snow was so deep that I took my 4-wheel and a sled and pulled it out of there so I could go racing,youth and health is a wonderful thing,and Mouse I quess we all are going to to have to start racing Boats,LOL,OK I'm done I promise,YA'LL ALL have a GOODEN,I'm outa here..................................................................

Happy "May Day" to everyone! After all this is not only Friday, it is the first day of May! I always visualize the picture of little young lady dancing through a field of flowers in a spring shower as a sign of "May Day"! That vision was just wiped out as I now see Mike Hawks tromping through a muddy field to go feed his rabbits some alfalfy in a pair of rubber boots! Ain't that a purty site? Gonna be sunny again here with a high of 92. May wait till Monday or Tuesday to go pick up engine and put water pump and alternator back on it and get it ready to drop back in next week before the temperature hits 100 degrees! Will take my time and try and not be stupid but that will be tough! Most everything I do is "stupid"!

5-1/2 week old Grandson was awake when I got home.

Guy, we all do something stupid. Last year, I put the timing chain in wrong on the 455, and hung all 8 exhaust valves open. So I'm trying again this year. I have the long block together, valves set. Today, I was cleaning up as I get ready for the swap, and there's a box of pushrods. Unopened. Uh oh. DOH! I had last year's in there. They may be ok, but I wasn't taking the chance. So I had to pull the rockers off and swap the pushrods out. We've all done something!

Right on! Gotta call from engine builder today who said it would be next Wednesday before engine would be ready as the push rods we had in the engine were not right as shaft rockers were 1.5 on intakes and 1.6 on exhaust and as a result were rubbing against head and some modifications willl have to be made so pushrods clear heads properly! Says I was lucky to be able to adjust valves! Guess I was cause car ran 10.0's many, many times! As they say: "No harm, no foul!" Just lucky! Hope some of that "luck" can be turned into "wins"!
