Mornin' all! TGIF on a long weekend! Woo hoo!

Bob, very glad to hear from you! Are you coming in for brackets so I can buy you wings and beer? If you have to take a raincheck on the beer part, I'll understand... we can hold it til the Classic or next year's finals, if they're at PRP. Hope you got this thing on the way out.

Floyd, how's the hay wagon coming along?

Mouse, good luck this weekend, looks like a nice event.

Hi Mike! Wave Glad to hear Mannie didn't hurricane any of the nurses. Big Grin

Good one, Rooster!

Happy birthday to my buddy AJ!

Mornin Y'all!
It's a warm one out here so it's goin to be a lazy one.
I'm waiting for my intake to get finished. The sides weren't right and it's been sucking some oil for awhile. I think that's what was causing the detonation. Anyhow it's getting a tune up. She ain't going back together till she's right. It's only money, my kids don't need it and I sure as he ll ain't goin to take it with me.
My pals, the McClanahans are workin their butts off at Indy. Had to change a motor in their SS Cobalt and blew up the one in their Camaro. There's a picture on class racer of Brian holding a rod from that 427.
Hey Mike, one of them VW's I been talking about went 186 at Sacramento yesterday on a hot slippery track. And it didn't fly!
You'all have a gooden. Praying Angel hug

Morning gang, gotta be a fast special this morning, got in late, late for me,Mannie and I went to the farm,to watch my friend Steve McCreary test his 6cly,Pont.sunfire,and he had trans trouble,so we made a couple passes in his pro-street blazer,v-8 and was lots of fun to drive, not that fast but fun,and ran into a bunch of my buddies from the farm, and had a ball telling old stories, and shooting the bull,(not really shooting a bull, the bull Wink)Pork,MHR,Steve J.and others,so had a good time and just couldn't leave.
And on the way home, came by Steve's house and shop, about 1am and some guy was in the driveway, with the hood up and door open looking at one of McCreary's old cars,so I stop and he took off, did't see anything missing, and called Steve this morning to have him check it out,and all looked ok,man these days, folks are really brave or stupid, but all seemed to work out ok,glad me and Porked talked so long, and Mannie slept,or something bad could have happened to Steve's old car,as my boy says,Dad you never know........ Mornin' all! Awesome weekend here in the Pittsburgh area... sunny and no humidity, actually had to wear long pants to the track.

I have to do something about my focus on the tree. I have tree ADD! .004 and .012 Saturday in time trials, .077 and toast first round. Sunday was a little better early, til 3rd round and yuck. Pretty solid in 4th, may have a shot at bumping up into 3rd or 2nd if I go some rounds and get some help.

Christine's son Joey was wearing the bull's eye, going into Saturday with the points lead. He was a great sportsman about it, knew he'd have 3 guys looking to line up with him, and accepted it. He didn't hide, he didn't cherry pick/duck hunt. He went a couple rounds on Saturday, and won the class on Sunday. That win sealed up the Street class points championship for Joey! Not only was he dealing with the loss of Mark this season, but he had to switch cars. I'm proud to call Joey our champ, and my friend.

On Saturday, in Modified, the points leader went out second round. Mark and Christine's son Mark, who was in second place, went on to face Mike Egan in the final, who is like a son to Christine and a brother to Mark. Mike was red, and the tears started for Mark before the 330'. It was his first win in Modified, and moved him up to just 2 points behind the points leader. Christine was in tears at first too. The winner's circle pic may have been the biggest one PRP has seen! With Sunday's action, Mark Romeo won, pulled himself into a tie for first, and Mark Brewer is 1 point behind. It's going to be a great last day of points this Saturday.

Friends of mine welcomed their son into the world yesterday. Nathan is a healthy 9lbs, 2 oz, 21 inches long, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and Justin and Mandy are thrilled.

Karen updated the CarePage. Frown

Hugs to all. hug

Mornin' all! Bad thing about the short week is I get all the same work shrunk into 4 days. The good thing is it's already over the hump day. And the weather, knock on wood, is looking nice for Saturday.

Hi Mike! Wave Mannie is cracking me up! I'm also remembering the old Bill Cosby bit, of how the dad taught and coached his boy all the way along, he gets to college, tv camera hits him and he says "Hi Mom!" Big Grin

Thanks Floyd, I'm trying. Going down swinging, that's for sure, just might be way behind the pitch. Big Grin I hope the hay hauler is back up and running soon for you. You have more patience than I do!

I just got some terrible news. One of the owners of those fast VW's I keep talking about was found murdered in his office last night. One of the nicest kids I ever met. He called me pops and always had a big hug and a cold one for me. Hector was a big blue eyed Mexican and a super nice guy that would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to race and he drove it to the limit every time.
I hope the scumbags that did this never make it to court.
