ELGREENEO,I THOUGHT YOU WERE A DIEHARD NORWALK RACER.I HAVE RACED PRP OFF AND ON SINCE THE 70'S AND WILL RACE THERE AS MY HOME TRACK THIS YEAR.THE MEETING SHOWED ME THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE IN THE RACING BUSINESS AND KNOW THAT SPECTATORS AND RACERS ARE WHAT COUNT.HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THAT PLACE BUT THE ROAD WORK AND TRAFFIC DROVE ME CRAZY.NOW IT'S A SWEET DRIVE AND CLEAR SAILIN.STILL A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT LEAVING MY RIG THERE ALL SUMMER.ANY ONE HAVE ANY INPUT ON THAT.

bill it was set at 2.7 secs so it shifted after the bump at t beaver.
im gonna replay the pass on the delay box this week and see just what was going on during the pass.
i had it set at 2.2 sec and was told to increase it so it was past the bump in the track.
i do know the recall on the tach was only 6900 so it never hit the 7500 high side chip

madnessdude,
Strap some weight to that thing. I am sure some of those ford parts you have killed through the yrs would work just fine. You can get a restrictor plate for it also. Seen several people use them.

give us some more info on what your set up is now and where you would like to get to .
that way we can give you some direction on which way to go. and possibly use what you already have on the jr.

Hey Clint, it was a good meeting. Really nice turnout, especially with the wind and rain. Greg went over plans for the year, some of the big events, and changes.

Juniors - will now be paid in cash, no more bonds

Entry fees and payouts, all classes, will remain the same. Big cars will receive their payouts in cash

Street class (12.00 and up, footbrake only) will be the only class with a year end runoff, for a Dean Racing Engines built SBC. There wasn't enough time to get something together for the other classes, due to the timing of when Greg took over and potential sponsors had to set their '10 budgets. He is working on it for '11

Year end payouts for points remain the same

No more second chance race - it is now reentry. First round losers will be called to the lanes, and if the win, they will come right back for second round. Reentry round winners will not pick up points, but wil be eligible for normal payouts, including round money

Points - 1 point to stage, 1 point per round win.

Starting time - Noon, with TCR being run in its entirety, then juniors. Big cars time trials start at 3pm

Run order - Top, Bike, Modified, junior dragster (their last few rounds), Street, Trophy

Dial for Dollars will be run every week

Lanes - pills will be pulled to determine what lane runs what lane. Lane 7 coul run against 8, 9, 10, or run back to back

Lots of cool events in addition to the regular races, like 4 day race weekends on the Memorial & Labor Day weekends, box/no box races at the Pro Ams

Sign up on the PRP site for the Racers Bio, and once approved, you'll be able to login, and after entering all your info, have an option to print that info out as a label. Bring those labels to the track, and stick it on your tech card, save yourself some time

Also sign up for the newsletter, to get info on all the upcoming events, results, etc

I think I touched 'em all

1/4milemadman, you'll be fine leaving your rig. Good number of people do it, and have had no problems. Me and my 2 buddies left our cars sit out in our pit spots, no problems.

I left our trailer there the last 3 seasons and never had 1 problem.

Chuck, will the Jr's also not get points if they buy back also?

Andy, I was referring to the big cars. I'm not sure if juniors will continue the second chace race, or go to reentry. I'll see if Greg can clear it up.

I think the pill thing will work out fine. I don't think it's every pair, it's the beginning of the round. Greg can clarify that too. 3pm start time will allow folks who have to work a chance to get to the track. I'm excited for a great year with a lot of racing.

And Hank, Greg specifically asked at the meeting that if anyone hss a problem, talk to him. Bad news flows like water, good news like molas ses in January. Big Grin

As far as I know, the Juniors would have to continue the 2nd chance race due to running the ladder. It would be difficult to re-enter with a ladder.

The pill thing will only be at the beginning of the round. If pill 8 is pulled first, then pill 10, all of the cars in lane 8 will be left lane and will run out against all of lane 10, which will be right lane. If the same # is pulled, those cars will be run front to back, with the first car out being left lane, 2nd car out, right lane.

One of the things that Greg mentioned yesterday and is worth repeating, and Chuck has already mentioned it, if you have a problem with something or somebody, don't use the internet as your sounding board. Talk to Greg and he said the problem will be resolved or it will be explained to you why it is being done that way.

Would that be the same for bike class? We run a ladder as well so I would see problems with reentry... Also not sure how they would do a second chance for the bikes?? not that many to make another class... although I would hope we get a chance to continue making passes.
