I just read on IHRA's website that Bracket finals are the 5-7 does that mean it is a Friday-Sunday only deal? What happened to thursday? Or was it a typo by IHRA?
The car is coming together nicely for the show. We got a motor in it (not the motor that will stay in it, but a motor to get the car to the show). Everything is looking good. Well engineered cars make everything so much easier to work on. Every piece of that car is made to make it easy to work on. Not like my car where I have to rig everything lol.
superman ill always luv you man lets go in halfes and buy qcr. holy crap can you imagine if we owned the track. prest/wilkins motorsports park. you would launch anybody that looked at you wrong.

Mark, I think that was a typo in the article. Finals are Oct 4-7.
I'm looking forward to the car show. As much as I like the show in my garage, it will be nice to see some clean, shiny stuff!
I was also thinking about next season a little, and how much I'm looking forward to it. I'm really digging the Friday night no-box/box deals, and plan on being at every one if my schedule allows. What do you guys think about them?

It's on the PRP site that they're looking for a name for the Friday nights no-box/box races. I write the email newsletter, so I get the information from Frank or Greg that gets included in it. I think there's 1 a month. $25 to enter, $400 to win, $150 runner up, $50 semis. I'm liking them because it's good practice for Saturday, I can stay at the track, no points pressure, just race and have fun, maybe get a shot at a little $$$.
If you guys aren't on the newsletter (then sign up! ), I can post it here.

Your still going to have a hard time rowing that fishing boat, that you were talking about buying down threw, even the 1/8 mile, aren’t ya? I could never figure out why some hate the 1/8 mile racing so much I always kind of liked the 1/8 mile racing myself.... maybe because I was so bad on the 1/4 mile?? Chuck, Friday nights, stay over night and race again on Saturday....a few back to back races with a new carb, some new pipe, I hope we'll get to see that Olds in a few winner circle pictures in 2007.
Most important, keep the shiny side up

I'm not into 1/8th mile. Maybe it's because I'm not that fast, so I need the wh0le quarter to really have some fun. But, I also agree with a what a friend of mine once said.. it's like your wife waiting in bed for you, calling you in, and you can only go as far as the door. At the same time, I'll race it, and anyone.
Thanks, Steve, I'd settle for one time!

I think the Friday nights are going to be fun. Chuck you know I'll be there. There is nothing better then waking up in the bounder to the smell of VHT in the morning. I don't really care for 1/8th mile, but if worse comes to worse I'll race any distance, person, or class. I just love the sport.
