Before too big to fail fascism, GM had the incentive to sell cars that were less expensive to register according to weight.

Now 10 years later we see the latest, greatest engines running these heads, with many builders using the BRX casting and their own port design to achieve HP rivaling the latest spread port engines and at least one making north of 1400 HP!

My apologies, let’s get back on topic....talking about your nothing special old heavy dragster, and your failed attempt to be the fastest in D1 super comp.

So is there any more word on this new deal?

The SR 20 really does sound interesting but one thing they are acting like it is Conventional and a basic bolt on it is not. Requires different intake, valve covers, pistons, shaft rockers, studs etc.
Pretty good choice if you are building a new motor but certainly not a good call to freshen an older motor IMHO.
Some of the SR20 packages are doing very good.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Update...

As to on track performance of my PAR 20 degree headed 648, the slowest to date it has run is 1.05 60 foot, 4.50 @ 155.42 on the hill with a 3800 DA and headwind last week when we won. The fastest has been 1.02 60 foot, 4.40 @ 158.15

As to weight going down the track, dragster w/driver weighed 1880 lbs. on the certified scales for the LODRS event at Maple Grove, last month. That's 30 lbs. heavier than my scales which I previously showed scaled 1860 lbs. Rescaled after swapping from Dynatech to Fab shop headers showed 1850 lbs.

Meanwhile, 40,000+ views about a cast aluminum BBC head dubbed the "game changer" by the late Tracy Dennis 10 years ago when he announced the SR20 head here at Tech Talk. clapping
