Thanks, BTR!

I'm enjoying our grandson as a newborn but definitely look forward to him when he gets a couple years under his belt. Hopefully he takes interest in our racing!

Hope all is well with everyone & Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Nothing to show over here hot rod, racing related. Spent my week with the family doing Grandaddy stuff with my favorite little human being. Did manage to move the transmission from our dining room to where I can work on it though. Hope everyone’s off-season is starting off well and everyone’s plans, including mine, for next season go well without any hiccups. Y’all have a great week.

I hurried back here for Piedmont race which got cancelled because of the weather. Good call as it is cold as he!!. Rear brakes failed on Smart car and that has turned into more drama than enough. Still working on that. Nothing to report except I ate to much Thanksgiving. Hope everyone on here is doing well.

Been 10 days so guess I'll post some useless BS. Problem with Smart car brakes turned out to be a frozen wheel cylinder which I had to order. Then the inside door handle on the big Mercedes broke. Dealer estimate $1500 t0 $3000 to fix. 100k car disabled by a piece of cheap cast aluminum that broke. A visit to youtube verified why they want so much to fix it. Before I go that route I am trying to jerry rig it myself with some metal tube and JB weld....may have to leave Germany and buy a KIA or something. I could not believe how cheap that door handle assembly was made, disgusting! Had a good Thanksgiving and looking forward to Christmas. No Florida racing this year for me. Everyone stay safe.

Happy Thursday y'all. Hope life is treating everyone well. Work is slowing down pretty significantly now and life is starting to go fast forward for a bit. Clearing stuff out of spare rooms to move our oldest daughter in with the grandbaby at the end of the month. I'm pretty stoked for this, as the almost 3 year old is my favorite human to hang with. A few months ago, wife found a property she fell in lust with. I'm not overly excited about the house, although it is about 1000 sq ft larger than where we are now. The perk for me, it's got a shop that should suit my needs quite well. Actually should exceed my needs. 1600 sq ft, 17ft high. Large parking area and room behind and to the side to park more stuff, (junk). Finished interior with HVAC. Been hustling, working on liquidating some assets and getting us in position to make an offer. Offer accepted and things are going well with the buying process. Assuming nothing pops up to torpedo things, me along with 2 Camaros, 1 Caprice, 1 f100, 1 Barracuda and a host of other fun stuff should be in my new shop 2nd week of the new year. Things are looking up..

Fern, if it ain't one thing, it's another, and usually a deeper pile of poo than the first.. LOL.. I've decided it may pay off to buy the more popular of vehicles on the road in the event I buy another. That way there may be a better chance of finding replacement parts in the junkyards...

Floyd, I feel your sentiment on the Ford thing, but I did compromise several years ago when pop bought a 64 f100. Was pretty fun to drive. Ugly damm thing but got lots of thumbs up on the road. Been sitting motionless in the driveway for about 18 years now. That should change soon though. The new to us house and shop will go a long way to making that happen. I want to drive it again and finish what we started before he passed.

Y'all have a great Christmas season...

The F100 Marty has in his booth is getting a lt of attention. The whole purpose is to show off products so I guess it's a success. It weas free to display so it's all good.

Making sure I got in here today to wish everyone Merry Christmas. I hope all are doing well.

It’s been a great busy year for me, been traveling, FL, CA, HI, Costa Rica, MI, SC. I’ll try to pop in more regularly. Texted Nick, he said he’s doing fine.

Merry Christmas to y'all. Being busy is a good thing for sure. Looking like work is finally doing its seasonal slow down for me. Home buying process is still going well, and barring any unforeseen issues, we should be moved into the house 2nd week of January. Looks like the first thing to be relocated will be the fast car, which is also the most important,, (to me), since it currently resides in the trailer we'll be using to pack the old house into for the move. Looking forward to having a garage large enough for all of my stuff.

Hope y'all have had a great Christmas season and are doing well.

You are right BTR, so far my Jerry rigged door handle is working. JB weld to the rescue. So then I hit a NC highway pot hole and ruin a new tire and bend the rim. $390+ and on the road. Christmas has been good.
Good to see Chuck check in, you to Floyd. Everyone stay safe.

It's good seeing some posting from you all & ChuckT!

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas & wish you all a Happy New Year.

I've got the race car about as done as I can. Waiting on the motor from the engine builder. We start racing the end of Jan.

I've been busy & spending too much time with the drag quad. Getting it ready for the Kingman Street Drags in May. Have some basic testing done & a ton more to do.

As always, hope everyone is well!

Time for the update. Colder than a well diggers a$$ in the Klondike. Nothing has broken for a week. Nimb and Paula show up so some of the rest of you need to chime in. Kinda miss ol Ed as he kept everyone honest. Flame on.

Good evening y'all.. Hope the New Year is working well for ya so far. Fern, I keep up with ClassRacer as well, and Ed is over there giving it and getting it, no different than when he was here. Over here in coastal NC, we aren't built for this cold weather. My yankee friends laugh at me over my distaste for below 40 temps. You're a bit inland from me I believe. Keep the heat tuned up over there, y'all get colder than us east coast flatlanders.

We close on the "new to us" house in 2 days. Hopefully no unforseen issues to derail this purchase. Need to replace kitchen flooring, then we can move in. All 5 hotrods should be inside their new home sometime next week.

Hope everyone's off season is going well and productive. Stay warm...

Half my roof got blowed off so I gotta get some work done. I've only got one layer of shingles so we can put a second layer on and save me some money.

Sorry I been away. To cold to do anything. Floyd our houses like us are getting old and sometimes mother nature is not kind to us. I put on a new roof here a couple of years ago but it looks like the garage is next. William glad you got moved, maybe I'll see you around this summer. You all out there in Cali sure get your share of natures wrath, currently fire. Our homeless because of the hurricane Helene are sleeping in tents with temps in the teens along with snow. At least those out there don't have that to deal with. I can't imagine just losing EVERYTHING in the snap of a finger. Everyone stay safe.

Morin y'all 50 miles away from the fires so I'm safe. I have an asphalt shingle roof. Luckily I have only one layer so er can put another layer on top. That's only about 17 grand. That's better than a whole new roof.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families that lost their homes.

Yeah Fern,
I understand. Mine is 2500 ft2 with lots of overhang on the patio so Woody can go pee whem it rains.
Mine has a $750 permit included.
Tear off is an additional 4200 dollars if I wanted it. Cost of doing business in Comiefornia.
Gotta pay the piper before the rain starts.
Y'all have a Gooden.
