Hi all, belated Merry Christmas. I've been burning the candle at both ends and the middle. Work is nuts, can't wait to join the ranks of the retired. Not that I am wishing time away, but, if I can go at 59 and a half, I will. Thanksgiving was busy, baking and helping with the cooking. Went to Florida the week after for almost 2 weeks. We had to work some days in there, but it was a nice break, go to see some birds I'd never seen, and Tammi got to see one lifer. My sister came down, and when we picked her up we went to the Everglades and did an air boat ride, cool stuff. Got back and it was full holiday swing. Cooked Christmas Eve dinner with my sister for our parents, baked cookies and helped clean up at my aunt and uncle's Christmas day.

Bucky, did you get the C10 going?

William, good to see you making progress.

Floyd, fingers crossed you keep getting good news.

Fern, glad to hear you're feeling much better.

Nick, is there a live feed? I'll try to watch when I can. Good luck to you and B!

Barry, M120, Curtis, Footloose, vetman, good to see you all stopping by.

If I'm not back on, happy New Year to all!

good afternoon I already left a track test and turning till six I was done by 1:30. I mean when you have three hits in the 60s foot times Within .006 and the lights being mid teens to .023 no reason to burn fuel amd tire! I need a nap

The high temp was 63 Degrees and in the sun Where I was sitting I was hot if that’s not funny!

Good evening y'all. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas season and New Years weekend. I've been off the keyboard for a while, taking care of "life getting in the way" stuff again. Spent a few weeks laid up on the couch after my back went on strike, then Christmas prep took top billing.

Good news for me to kick off the new year, as the superstocker is finally out of the trailer and on the driveway. Unloaded it yesterday. It's been 8 years since it saw daylight. I've only been able to put in a few hours of work on it so far, but that still equates to progress. I'm limited to daylight hours right now, since the garage isn't currently an option and it's too damm cold outside when the sun goes down. Covering it up with a cover and a tarp when I'm not messing with it, hopefully will keep the moisture out. Still planning to take it to my buddy to have him go over it before firing it up, just pushed that back a little bit. Did a little tidying up yesterday and today and next I'm going through the brakes and fuel system. 2024 is looking good for me becoming the new "duck" for my friends to pair up with in the 1st round Smile

Y'all have a great week.

Happy New Year all. I don't want to wish time away, but I am looking forward to being retired. I have 2 years and 8 months before I can access my 401k without a penalty. A couple more years like 2023 would be nice for it too. I liked not working last week, being around here, and I didn't even get to any of the stuff done around here I had planned on. A good week, family, friends, food, etc. I hope you all had good holidays.

William, progress is always progress. Keep making hay while the sun shines!

Well the sun is out and the sky is blue. BUT it is cold as he!!. Not much going on here but I may try to clean up my race car garage as it is heated and a mess. William where are you going to race? Looks like Jim Howard is making some changes for the new owners of Rockingham. Look at their schedule. I guess everyone is going to drop their schedule at the Greensboro car show. You should put that on your list of things to do. Nick got to race, Floyd is ok, and Chuck is trying to retire, and life goes on. everyone stay safe

38* at our home this morning and forecasted to be colder tomorrow. Global warming my azzzz! This Global warming baloney is just a scam by Biden and his gang of crooks.

Lost two more friends last week, one of them was a former crew member for NASCAR driver Sterling Marlin, the other was a Doctor my wife worked with.

Lol, turns out I had two leaks!

It had the push to lock molded GM hoses. It was leaking at the back of the manifold.
It now has standard heater hose and clamps.

Looking at 3 to 4" of rain and wind for two days.
I get nervous because I have older trees in striking distance. I like them but time to cut them go I'm thinking. Three of them are around 34".

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cool

Sunday and Monday are supposed to be teens for highs and negative numbers overnight. You Northerners can come get your weather anytime. It’s drunk and headed for Oklahoma. Stop
