Thanks Nick. Strange that you are having so much rain. When I lived there it very seldom rained any. Climate change? Well lets see what today brings, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Its in the 50s at 10 am..You all have a good day.

Well damm... Looks like I'm stuck going to my wifes friends b-day party now... I saw where Galot cancelled this weekend. Rain is on the way it appears.

Positive for today. Got the email that my bellhousing is heading home. I was originally told it may be early April, so It's a month ahead of schedule. Sent off 2 Rad Hats to Ram this afternoon to get serviced and a clean bill of health. One's probably a goner and best to be replaced with a new one. Had been stored in a shed at my parents house. Shed was crushed by a tree a while back. I had no idea it was in there, so it fell victim to an open air spot in the back 40. Thing looks rough. LOL.

Notso positive today... Attempting to remove the input shaft to the tranny, (Jerico DR4). My snap ring pliers gave up on me. Spent about 45 minutes trying to get a snap ring off and gave up for the day. Tomorrow will be a better day I'm sure.

Y'all have a great evening.

Well I left up there in snow and got back here to 70 yesterday. Now my best friend has got taken to the hospital up in MD. Damn getting old and younger people dropping like flies. Race I missed this past weekend got canceled so didn't miss anything and they suddenly eliminated bottom bulb from this weekends race. Its loaded up but we are going to Myrtle Beach middle of March. I get knee replacement middle of April which parks me for about 3 months. I need a break. Every one stay safe----

Dang Fern. There was a lot packed in your last reply.

Supposed to be 86° today and 31° with low 20s wind chills tomorrow morning here. Typical Oklahoma, nothing to see here.

Everyone have a great day.

Good morning!

My focus has been on the Spring Fling Million & it's right around the corner. I have 2 points races to hone the cars set-up & my driving before the race.

I have new rocker shaft/arms on the way to replace the too many run arms.

While I have a new set of Hoosier radials. I decided to stay with the M/T PBRs for the race(s). I'll buy a new set; I need to get them ordered soon.

I'm checking everything on the car & spent about 6 hours on cleaning/checking grounds & power connections.

Guess I need to stop typing & get back to other stuff on the car.

Again, hope all is well with everyone!

Curious….. how many estimated runs on these? Can they be rebuilt?

1700, the aluminum is fatigued & that's what broke on one arm; the rest will follow.

Been busy on the Bonneville Salt Flat car on the underneath. The bottom of the driver's compartment is all welded in & working grinding the welds down. Working on the belly pan, with aluminum panels & dzus fasteners.

Fixing to get even busier, the body man wants to start working on the Camaro on Mar. 11. That's going to be interesting with racing & doing body work. I tried fitting up the fiberglass trunk with spoiler yesterday. The piece looks really good, but not even close to fitting. Guess I'll leave it up to the body guy.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Good evening. I've been stuck on pause with the hotrod for a bit. Catching the flu 2 weeks ago hit me harder than usual. I got better, then got worse and took a while to unscramble my brain. Sent the clutch out to RAM last week so they can go over it and fix a few things. The springs and pressure plate had an ugly covering of rust. As much as I tried keeping moisture away while stored in the trailer, It still got to a few areas I'm not so happy with. They serviced it already and have it on its way home. Should be back Tuesday. Got the bellhousing back from recert at Holley, (it's a lakewood piece). Seems they decided to helicoil the bolt hole for the clutch fork pivot. Prior owner had a 7/16" rod end/heim joint in there. Damm thing won't fit now. Appears to have been resized to 3/8". I picked up a 3/8" rod end today, just haven't taken the time yet to go to the garage and see if I'm right. Trying to decide on taking the tranny apart myself to swap the cracked input shaft, or take it to Jerico and let them go through it for me. Money is getting tight due to some unforseen problems with my truck and my house, so I may be money ahead doing it myself. Never taken one of these apart though, which has me seriously considering taking it to them. I'd hate to miss any other problems due to my inexperience. Looking forward to the next few weeks here. Work's gonna get going again, Gonna get more done on the hotrod and may have a couple field trips in my future...

Y'all have a great week.

You should turn on Motor Mania TV and watch the race at Galot. $40,000 won by a local last night. In spite of the weather forcast the race was finished and they were finishing a gamblers race when I went to bed.

^^^^^^ I watched much of this. Good race for $40k. Disappointing to see Michelle Pelo .002 RL to Parish in finals. Another $40k today. Wish I was there racing. Two more rds from Friday 32 car race left to run, maybe?

Had no idea it was being televised. I don't think we get Motormania tv with our cable package here. I'll look for it online to see if I can watch over the laptop. Glad a local picked up the win yesterday.

markemark, Michele Pelo is one helluva racer. I assume she's still in the Camaro. That's been one helluva good race car for decades.
