Got to keep this site rolling. Colder than a well diggers arse in the Klondike here in NC. That is all I got. Stay safe--and warm!

It's chilly in NJ. It could be worse.Need to replace a heater hose that previous owner put a hose flush thing in. No need to be wasting antifreeze. Right now is the warmest it's going to get. Garage is a mess, so an outside job. Off I go.

Cool

Good Afternoon all , been having a extremely mild winter with a big problem of no rain.Been getting ready for Hangovers which start yhe 28th and go till 31st. The front loading machine is making problems , going it replace belt Saturday hope thats what it needs. My Dodge Dually needed a little maintenance, oil change and new radiator hoses and belt. This truck is the best, did brakes for the first time 2 years ago and now this. Did the trans to just for fixing a slow leak 4 years ago, trans was working fine ! 229,000 and going strong.

Got the hose replaced.
Looks like original hose. 1995 Chevy 2500.
It was leaking at the flush out that was added. Crumbled in my hands.
The heater core spring clamps go on easy on the assembly line but stink with everything else installed!

Wish GM had brake lines last as long!!!

Good Evening,

Only have a few basic things to do for Tucson Hangover Nationals. I'm going to pre-enter using The FOAT, but waiting till closer to the deadline. I have to go & buy my 100 UL pump gas for the race car. Other than that, everything is ready to be hooked up to the truck & get on the road.

Hoping to meet a few new DRR members while I'm there.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Got feeling bad Tuesday, woke up Wend feeling bad like I never felt before so went to emergency room at VA and tested positive for covid! Da m!! They kept me a day then sent me home to take 6 pills twice a day for 5 days. So much for Christmas plans. Anyway feeling pretty good so heading back out to the country in the morning to hug my race car then come back here for Christmas.
Watched some of the SFG race and don't plan to make it hard on Kyle as he rents the track, they run the program. Like I said in another thread you must have cars going down the track all the time and if you aren't ready to run to bad. No one controls the weather. Lets see how it goes there for New Years with probably more entries and then add Jrs into the mix. Everyone stay safe--more later.

Fern, I hope you get better soon. That crap can be from not even knowing you have it, to a simple cold, to debilitating. Sounds like you are definitely passed the simple cold point.

Happy Holidays to you all.
Get well Fern! This stuff as Curtis said can be simple or really sick. It’s running its course through the family here. Last month it was RSV ! Careful with that too! The cough lingers forever!

I was iffy on Bradenton for the New Years race but thats done for this year. I walked around outside this afternoon. checked the motor home and the race car then just walked around my place. Temp in the 40s, not a cloud in the sky--it felt really good but after an hour or so started tireing. Still on the covid meds tomorow and 1/2 of Thur then get back to moving I hope. Long time since I got kicked like that. But it could be a lot worse. You take care of yourself Floyd, one of us down is enough. Everyone stay safe.
