Fern, we're IHRA Division 3. Sportsman/Street is the only class that is strictly footbrake. I think NHRA Div 1 went no box/allowing transbrakes in Heavy/Pro a few years ago.

Nick, keep setting that personal record for consecutive days above ground. Good luck this weekend.

I wish this weekend was Footbrake at Piedmont, and next weekend was the Box race. I could make this weekend work. Next weekend is family time. I'll watch when I can and pull for my friends.

Sad news.... racer passed away last night, only 51, great guy, wife of 28 years, 2 kids. Rest in peace, Dale.

Good afternoon all you guys ! Been outside cleaning the car loading the truck for tomorrow morning ADRA race. This is a memorial race that celebrates all racers have passed away over the past year, which makes it a huge reason for all racers to go to . Last I heard there’s about 140 members of this Association. Should be a great day track hot at 9 AM which means weather should be about 65 degrees And will heat up to 75 with low humidity. Which means we will all be running fast.

Chuck thanks! I’ll need luck ! Haha I have won one these club races and runner up a few times but really want to win this Memorial race. But just being there makes it important to me too.

Y’all have a great weekend, please make my Rockyroad a double scoop!

Relaxing

I had planned a nice quiet Thanksgiving at home but my boy said no way, we were going to his house. I said okay but I wasn't going to do a big prime rib roast this year. Too much work and too hard to transport. But I do have to make my world famous deviled eggs.
I did buy a big roast but I had the butcher cut it into steaks for me. $6.99 lb is the cheapest I've seen it in months.

Howdy all. Bbbrriiisssk night, 22 degrees currently. Tomorrow is supposed to be a heat wave into the mid 40s, and I'll take it. I'm hoping to get my '69 Cutlass home, sitting outside at my buddy's place currently.

Fern, hope you had some success getting Bambi. Coming home from my parents' last weekend, had 3 nice bucks step out in front of the car in the span of about 15 miles. The more of them that go down in the hunt, the less there are that might do that some more. Knock on wood, have yet to hit one, but I've had some damn close calls. Are you going to Piedmont this weekend?

Nick, how did you do last weekend? I didn't get a text, so I'm hoping you were too busy going rounds.

Floyd, I love me some deviled eggs. I'm glad you're heading to your son's, hope it's a good time for all.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, in case I don't get back in here before then. Off tomorrow for the most part, over to my parents in the afternoon to make the pumpkin pies to take to my brother's on Thursday. Enjoy, all.

Chuck,
I don't think they invite for company, they just like my world famous deviled eggs.
I did go back to the store and got another rib roast, 4 1/2 lbs. Cut into 2 big a$$ steaks, one for tonite and the other for later.

Bambi is safe so far. 20 degrees and snow won’t see me shooting any deer. Forget it. But it’s worth the trip to be with family on property that’s been family owned for 100+ years. I was born here 80+ years ago. But it’s fun telling the youngsters how we walked these hills when I was young and now they ride up on either a side by side or 4 wheeler. Or that we farmed with horses. Having a good time.

We had a massive blackout Thanksgiving Day. Power was shut down all over the county from Wednesday night thru Thurs. Screwed up a lot of holiday dinners while our governor is vacationing in Mexico.

Good Evening to all !! Wow very weird ten days! Weather here in the mid 80s with 10% humidity! That ADRA race was a let down , when I started the car oil pressure at idle was 38 pounds. Normally 60 pounds when cold outside (62 degrees) after talking to a few friends I added 1/2 qt and rolled up to tech. After it was hot brought it up to 4,000 rpm oil pressure went to 45 pounds. I decided to take a hit, went 10.33 weather station said it would run 10.36 ! Haha pressure never went over 45 pounds . So I spent the day pulling parts of to get to oil pan. Weather was great so I still had a great day . Finally got the car to a friends lift , just a broken oil pump spring! Chuck I’ll send you a picture!!

Thanksgiving was my day to cook , made food for 8 but it was only me and the wife and the dog!LOL

I hope you all are doing good !

Floyd, that steak looked amazing, you need to get to Costco for a couple of bottles of the good stuff.

You all have a great weekend!

Nick,
If I went to Costco i would get hung up in the meat department. They have the best meat but gotten very expensive.
I go to Total Wine & More. They have all of the good stuff at very competitive prices. I place my order on line and then do the curbside delivery. That way I'm not tempted with impulse buys.
Y'all have a gooden.

Got back from the hills and Bambi escaped. I just didn't feel like cleaning one in the cold. Oil Co did a good job running the new pipeline over part of the farm and also for the second month in a row my production check was up. They are drilling like crazy up there. On the other hand the pipe stored at my brother in laws is being shipped to either China or Russia as the east coast pipeline it was scheduled for was cancelled by Biden.
Went to Farmington today and made 3 test passes 6.6030--6.6074--6.6076. Good enough to go to FL in a couple of weeks. It was near 80 and not a cloud or any wind--Dec 4!!!!! Every one stay safe.

Morni Y'all,

It's cold and wet out here on the left coast. Mother nature is helping us with our drought situation. Now if only the state was smart enough to keep it all from running into the ocean we would be fine.
Y'all have a gooden. I think Woody and I will be staying in most of the day.

you know Floyd, you mention that if your state was smart enough to do something about things that need to be done, well, at least they are consistant and you know what to expect. You could be living in a double standard state where all decisions are financially driven. For example the NFR was here for 10 days which brings in millions of dollars to the local economy which is great, but, we have a state wide mask mandate and I go bowling once a week at a local hotel/casino and 99 percent of all people in cowboy boots and hats were not masked up or even had a mask nearby. Heres where the double standard comes in, security walks around giving people playing slots and table games masks if they see someone not wearing a mask. BUT they would not even approach a person that was even remotely associated with the rodeo if they were bare faced. If a bowler in the bowling alley doesnt wear a mask, they get removed from the premises, unless they have a cowboy hat on, then they are left alone.
One more rant then Im done, In 2020 during the height of covid, our local race track held two divisional races, a national event and a track rental event. No spectators at the divisionals or the track rental event, but spectators were allowed at the national. All covid protocols were in place at all the races. The day after the track rental, it was announced that our little local thanksgiving race had been cancelled due to covid. REALLY!! True it doesnt bring in the revenue that the other races did, and protocol was all ready in place, but to blame it on covid, no way.
