Nah,you guys don't need to worry. It's the next generation that needs to worry.
I worked till I was 75 and would probably still be working if I hadn't of gotten pissed of.

Guess I am lucky. I walked out 17 years ago at age 60. Some said I couldn't some said I wouldn't but I did and I never looked back. Sure glad I don't have to live or depend on social security to live. Life is good

I kept working cause I was still enjoying what I did and all the contacts I made.I got to see Europe, the Middle East, the South East and the Far East. I even got to Hawaii, Canada and Mexico. So all in all I went around the world. I slowed down the last few years to only 3 days a week and then decided over Christmas year before last that I had had enough of the politics and drama that came into a company that I had built that it was time for me to cash out and become retarded, I mean retired. If Diane, God rest her soul, had still been around we would have pulled the plug at 65 and lived the way we had planned but things happened and I didn't see a reason to leave any sooner. But now, I am enjoying my time with my family and my dog and doing anything or nothing with my time. Yes, life is good. Based on my mother I will be around for a few more years. She will be 97 in April.
Y'all have a gooden!

Mornin' all! Still a bit chilly here, but after the 6-7" of snow Wednesday, it's been sunny and around 40, calling for the same the next couple of days. Keystone is supposed to open a week from today, depends on how weather treats us. I have to change the oil and I'm good to go. Got my new Impact helmet this week, really like it. Picking up my new daily beater tomorrow, a '98 Escort wagon.

Nick, you don't have to shovel the rain at least. Good luck this weekend!

Mouse, good to see stopping back in. I hope the S10 work goes smooth, and you're able to get back out there.

Floyd, that is awesome you got to travel, and enjoy the work you did. My goal is to be like you and Fern, but I'm not wishing time away. Unless Mega Millions pays off in last night's drawing. Big Grin

Barry, what is the TS ride?

Fern, where are you racing next?

You all have a great weekend! Ice cream time!

Floyd I to saw the world---I actually worked in 23 countries before my shop in Baltimore. I enjoyed every minute of it. Mikey Walters on here is doing the same thing now. I just decided to stop while I could still do things that are hindered by the normal old age aches and pains. Chuck I don't know other than Elk Creek----first thing is to get off my rear and fix the car so I can race. Would have been at Duckys race if not for wedding up in YOUR North Pole. Anyway guess I need to get with it, suns shining

Damn Fern,
I actually only worked in 2. I helped design machinery in Taipea and built a plant in Damaam, Saudi Arabia. I enjoyed Taiwan but hated every minute of Saudi. I did 2 different projects in Taiwan that were quite succesful. I was In Saudi for just over a month and couldn't wait to get out of there. They wanted me back for another plant but I said no. They said we will pay you extra, I said no, I don't need the money.

Ferns up and ready to go.....got the trans out and the flex plate removed yesterday and now need to put it back together. I think I could do this in my sleep and having a nice heated garage is also a big help. Floyd I worked places I can't even remember including Vietnam for awhile. Amazing what one will do for money when you are young and dumb. You keep chiming in Mouse, we need everyone to keep the site going.

Morning guys. Hope all is well. A lot of great changes going on at Maple Grove. Trying to make it the track it was back in the day it sounds like.

First 12.50 index race coming up in a few weeks. They are now guaranteeing those payouts too which is nice.

Got a lot done yesterday and should finish today. Sure takes more time when you are old and doing it by yourself. Fern will be 77 in 5 days. Oh and I do like doing it myself and have had offers of help...if it is messed up its ALL my fault. Looks like it is going to be in the 70s over the weekend so just may get to go racing if car is ok. You all have a good day.

Mornin y'all!
Damn, Fern. I caught up with you yesterday and now you are going to leave me in the dust again.
Had a good couple of days. Have some friends from down under in town so since they are a day ahead of us they wanted to celebrate my birthday on Sunday so we spent some time at Hooters. I wanted to take some pictures but I would get arrested for having kiddie porn on my phone if I got caught.I don't know what it is but those girls get younger every year.
Yesterday spent some time with mom, she wanted Popeyes for lunch. Anything to keep mom happy. She will be 97 in April. She's going to outlive me.
Had a fun evening at my favorite steakhouse with family and the down under folks and some scotch and prime rib. Perfect ending to a good birthday.
Y'all have a gooden!
Happy Birthday

Nick pay attention: I just changed the flex plate TWICE! Spotted a couple of teeth off on routine inspection. Changed the flex plate and on first hit it took 6 teeth off the new one----it was set up right but it turned out the bearing in the Bendix drive of the starter was bad making the gears pull apart under load. Lot of da mn work to do it all twice. High priced mini starter that can't be fixed Mad

Good morning to all ... had my biscuit's and gravy today made getting up early worth it. weather here getting a lot warmer by Saturday , should I saw it 90 degrees. But today only 83 so that's going to make working outside not a lot of fun Saturday.

Mouse what you doing for funny now days?

Caramoracer, how about that new job , did it work out. Hoping you get what you want and need...

Fern, that starter has a new starter clutch on it I'm thinking its all good, Sunday day is looked for getting it done.

Chuck, Weather out there looks a little warmer but here comes the rain....

Mike , you need to key in here. Wondering about you...

You ALL have a great Great Day...
