It was 102 yesterday and 103 today. I always give them water so they appreciate it.

Getting ready to roll to Bristol. Took motor home in for service yesterday, changed oil in race car, and went and got fuel. The place where I get my fuel has not raised their price in 2 years. Speaking of fuel, they said 2 pipelines coming here were shut down because of the hurricane in LA but gas prices went down. Figure that one out. Fires, hurricanes, and floods, what else can happen? Everyone be safe.

Had more fun and saw more people than I can mention. My car ran well but my finish line driving kind of sucked. I did not run the $110,000 race Sat. Fri and Sun I lost 2nd round and was done. .004 and patted once to lose the finish by .006 once and .014 to a .024 and I dropped hard to lose that one also. Spent a lot of time with the announcers that also treated me great. Thanks to Steve, Jared, and all the Bristol staff for making it so much fun. Hope to be there next Spring.

Howdy all. Doing ok here Our points season wrapped up Labor Day weekend. Sunday was a bad forecast, so Keystone went to 1 time trial, ran Saturday's race, then 1 time trial and ran Sunday's race right after Saturday's finished. I was tied for second going in, 3 rounds out, with 2 guys right behind us by 1 round. One of the guys behind me took out the guy in first in the first round. I made it to third round before I got whacked. I entered the Sunday race still 3 rounds out, now in third, as one of the guys behind went to the final. First to seventh were only 5 rounds apart. I turned it .003 red, dead on with a 9, to a .044 bulb, ended my shot. It was fun being in the mix, haven't had that in a few seasons. I ended up 4th or 5th. Bracket finals at Dragway 42 are this week, so I'll swing away there.

Fern, glad you had a good time at Bristol, and the car is good. I didn't get to watch too much, some on Friday. I'm definitely going to be there for the WFC XVI, knock on wood.

Floyd, I hope it's cooled off out there for you some.

Nick, you're not drowning in the desert, are you?

Just took a look at the SFG deal at Darlington and saw foot brake final Pollard and Finchum. Pollard is .000 and Hot Rod is .035. Kevin to the 5th round with the box cars--Don't need no stinkin box. Also saw one of the original dirty dozen Dave Connely was in there. I mean that was what 30 years ago or more and still shoeing up.

looks like we are slacking here. Pretty good, foot brake racer in one of the finals at Darlington. They had a pretty good week of racing down there. Everything normal here. Later

Been raining here for 2 days and real cool. Supposed to be over today and a nice weekend. I decided to attempt to remove the leaking heater core from my motor home Friday. Real pain in the rear but after 5 hours I got it removed, About had to remove the whole front of the motor home to get to it. Now waiting on a new one to arrive hopefully while the weather is good. Thats it from here! Stay in the a/c Floyd thats what its made for.

We got weather to die for here the last couple of days. 70s and the bluest sky you can imagine. So my heater core came and yesterday I mustered my courage to install it. 6 hours later it is all back together and working. Just takes a lot of time. Looks like the grass gets attention this afternoon. Come on in Floyd

Got grass done, trimmed some trees, built 2 new flower beds, looked at my race car, and sat on the porch and slept. Life is good. Going to VA for flu shot and covid booster tomorrow. Nothing happening here

Are you doing the flu and the booster at the same time?

Dang Fern sounds like life in Mayberry !

Floyd get the booster better safe than sorry. I got it with no side effects after 24 hours.

Weather here is all I can talk about about 15° below normal which is real good. Lotta divisional and national racing going on around me but I don’t play in that circus. Got a couple races in November, the car is sitting ready to go.

You all have a great weekend!

HAVE THEY CALLED US YET ? THEY HAVE!!!

Shuffled the fleet yesterday. The weather has been something to die for, 70s, slight breeze, and sunlight, in clear blue skies. Anyway I put the 65 GTO back in its corner, took the race car out of the trailer and put it in one side of the garage, then moved the F-350 into the other side of the garage. Which also means I had to move the car dolly, the lawn tractor, the John Deere farm tractor, and the Honda 4 wheeler. Plus a bunch of other junk! I don't know where it all comes from because when I bought this place that building was completely empty. Hope to go to Rockingham this coming weekend. Hope everyone is well, if you read this step in some time.
