RED sounded like a fun time with racing.

The little one apparently had an ear infection probably caused by the cold. Hoping it's coming towards the tail end of it.

Mornin Y'all!
Had a little break in our heat spell yesterday with a little rain. Just enough to water the garden and the lawn. Gonna stay chilly through today and then start warming back up again. Kinda looks like El Nino ain't gonna happen. We got the March Meet in 2 weeks so it better stay nice weather wise. I gotta lube the trailer axles this weekend and put some air in the tires. Better put the charger on the trailer battery too. Since the race truck was runnin when we parked it back in October she should be ready to go. Y'all have a gooden. Praying Angel hug

Good Morning to all , Great day to be alive....
weather at National Open in Tucson this weekend should have temps in the low 80s cooling of to mid 50s at night... been told track has had racers testing since Wednesday and a open TNT all day today. I'll be in a paint booth all week(real bad scheduling on my part) getting the car ready for paint...lots of primer to shoot....

1258 I had a lot of earaches as a kid , that's no fun.....

Everyone have a great Weekend....

Mornin Y'all!
Mikey, you don't want to hear about the weather out here. Let's just say it's a chamber of commerce day. Playing it forward though, I will be surprised if we don't get some weather come March Meet time. I sure hope not. I'm looking forward to not having to pay 4 bucks a gallon for diesel like last year. It's right at 2 now so I can go both ways for what it cost me last year. Good thing cause Marty can't go with me and I already bought his pass. Better cancel his room too.
Feet are getting better every day so I should be in good shape.
Red, that looks like to much work. Don't you have an Earl Sheibs near you?
Y'all have a gooden. Praying Angel hug

Mornin' all! Really nice weather weekend here. Saturday was awesome, didn't even need a jacket during the day. I went to my buddy Matt's and used his parts washer to clean off an old intake and check out his new to him trailer. Yesterday, I tried cleaning up the garage some, getting tools back into the box, and sockets back onto their racks. It's better than it was.

1258, no, that's J178's Camaro. I'm a fan of the '70-73 Camaro, and helped him out on posting the pics.

Mike, I saw the pic of Mannie's bike, pretty sweet! Also saw the log truck pics, very cool also.

Floyd, what's regular 87 octane going for out there now? We're around 1.90, though a couple of stations not too far from me are at 1.70. I don't drive my truck much, but I hope diesel stays low for the tows I will be making. Glad to hear your mending up nicely.

Fern, how's the eyes? Must be doing decent if you're able to post! Big Grin

You all have a great day!

Chuck the eye is a little itchy but I got the patch off after a couple of days and I can see good close up but still have to get new glasses..Reg gas here is $1.46 and diesel is $1.68 this morning. Hope everyone is doing good. Mama is still hanging in there but I really hate seeing her in that place day after day---seems that people should be treated better when they get old and sick. But its not the case. At least I visit her almost every day and many in there never get a visitor. Sad.

Good evening, WOW one heck of a Tuesday....Going to work this morning saw 87 octane for $1.16 and diesel was $1.69, wonder how long it will stay there for? Weather in the desert has been in mid 80s ... National Open at Tucson Dragway is in the books.

Chuck, thanks for posting the photos on my progress....This has been a lot more work than I ever would have thought. Final paint goes on Saturday (or sooner, LOL) Then more fab work on deck lid rear bumper and carbon fiber wrap on hood (still got to finish body work on hood an scoop) ... and then put it back together....
Started this back in November , and still been able to run 7 races since I started redo ... I have 5 more races before Spring Fling so only have 7 or 8 weeks to finish what I started...
LOL , I have been taken some stuff with me to the races so I can work on the car if I lose early ......

Fern, How the eye sight? Hoping that went well..
Monday I dropped in to Lucky Wishbone on Swan and Broadway for fryin Chicken... It was great...

Enough about me you Guy's Have a Great Hump Day...

Fern just glad to hear you're ok,it was fun getting out and seeing everyone there, and it's so true and sad about folks that never have anyone come and see them when they get old and sick,I seen it here with my mom and she was home during her last couple of yrs of her life,I have 4sisters and 1brother and they hardly ever came to see her,oh they would call but she wanted that one on one with her children but she got me and Mannie she didn't complain but you could see the sadness in her eyes, sorry didn't mean to make it such a long story but what you said got me to thinking about how sad life can be when you get older and are alone, tell mom tater man said howdy.............

Well I went long today,Chuck that bike Mannie and I found is sweet, man I'd love to have had that when I was a kid,I'm just glad I went ahead and got it his b-day is March 30th he'll be 14 seems hard to believe that's he's been with me since he was some over 2yrs old,all you folks have a good day and gettem buttoned up and to the staging lanes TT will start soon, lol, have a great day................

Mornin' all! Over center day! Nice day for winter, yesterday was pretty nice too. Got to hear some rumble last night, Matt's car is all ready to go for the Loose Rocker race at VMP. Then we pushed our buddy's boy's car into the garage for Matt to finish wiring up, and Amanda made wings. It was a damn good night. Big Grin

Fern, glad to hear the peepers are ok. It is sad. When my mom had surgery last summer, we were there all the time. I feel bad for people who don't get visitors.

J, got the new pics, will post them up too. Car is looking really good!

Mike, I would have loved to have a bike like that too. I would have had to deliver a lot more papers though to pay for it! Big Grin

You all have a great day!

You all paying to much attention to Fern, talkin about Tucson, those were Ferns teenage years. Chuck don't look like I get to race at Loose Rocker in Va as I still don't have a motor. Might go anyway and watch or help out. Big Mike that's why I wanted to stop and see you--up there sick and by your self. Just always want you to know that Fern cares. Eyes seem OK. Going to eye Dr tomorrow. Youngest daughter is here to visit. She comes from Baltimore often. Today we were dodging the tornadoes. Hope everyone has a good one, oh, and Mama was good today. I'll mention the Tater man tomorrow as it always gets a grin Double Thumbs up

J you couldn't mention a better time in my life. Not a care in the world. But I appreciate all the concerns about mine and my wifes health. This is the other end of the good life that I have had. Want to go racing and no motor. I am real close to just buying another car.
