Mornin' all, over center day! Got a few days of not so bad winter, then it gets warm for the weekend. I'll take that for sure.

J, that's not a bad first weekend. Sounds like the car was running right on. And you're racing, we're not, plus you got to go to the payout window. Double Thumbs up

Floyd, do you do mail order off of that grill? Big Grin

Mike, most of all, I'm pulling for my numbers in the pool. I like Manning too, but I also like Cam Newton. Both are good teams, hopefully it's a good clean game.

1258, nothing new on the wagon? CA trip and snow keeping you out of the garage?

Fern, I hope you get the engine soon. I wish I could go to Michael's and Anthony's race in March, but I don't think I'll be ready, car or wallet.

You all have a great day!

Chuck, my dad has the wagon at his place to work on. There's a couple little things that he needs he said, but otherwise almost done. He's only 5 minutes from me but the little one keeps me busy especially when the wife works. My parents are heading down to Florida this weekend and said they are going to stop at one or two RV dealerships on the way. That's all that is new.

Mornin' all! Getting on through the week.

J, the one bracket finals my buddy and I were at, both of us being budget guys, sleeping in tents or trailers at the track, we cooked on the grill for every meal. Nothing like kielbasa on a stick for breakfast. Big Grin

1258, I can imagine you have your hands full with home life. What part of Florida your folks heading to? My mom is with my aunt and uncle in St Augustine, and dad is leaving Sunday to meet them. They'll stay all of February.

You all have a great day!

Chuck that's the way I did it a few years ago when I qualified for bracket finals. Pitch a tent. Got mighty cold though haha.

Chuck they have a place down in Jupiter Florida. During the winter is when they mainly go down but they basically gutted the whole place and tile is being delivered this weekend.

Mornin Y'all!
I haven't done any tenting since qwe had our dune buggy back in the late 60's and early 70's. My idea of roughing it today is if I have to leave the hotel and walk across the street to find a bar.
Y'all have a gooden! Praying Angel hug

Mornin' all! TGIF! After a normal January day today, looks like we hit a stretch of 40s into 50s. I'll gladly take them.

The budget is a little better nowadays, and can afford to stay in a hotel, though I'm splitting it with one of my buddies. I've slept in the car too, by necessity, when rain flooded my tent. Came back from going to eat, and my air mattress was floating inside the tent. And the old Cavalier wagon, flipped the back seat down, unlatched the hatch, and made it my camper. We still fire up the grill, though, and can toss chicken and burgers on with the dogs and kielbasa. That's good eatin'! Big Grin

J, good luck this weekend.

1258, I've been cold in the tent too. The one year, I knew when another of my buddies was getting cold. I'd hear his fuel pump turn on, then he'd fire up the car to run the heat for a bit. That end of Florida looks neat. I've never gone further south than St Augustine on the Atlantic side.

Ice cream time! You all have a great weekend!

Good Morning everyone!

Helped a good friend with his Super Gas/Super Steet Nova at Fontana on Saturday, had a great time. 20 S/S cars, didn't get a count on the Pro Gas (Super Gas) cars but the turn out was very good. First race of the 2016 season so it was great to see all the guys/ girls again. Nice weather during the day but it turned ugly Saturday night, then really ugly on Sunday. High winds at our house early Monday morning, reminded me of hurricane wind when I lived in Florida in the early 60's. It'll take me a good part of the day to clean up the mess.

Seems that it's rained just about every Saturday over the past month or so but the forecast for next weekend looks good. Going to try and run my hot rod at Barona next Saturday.

Have a great week everyone!

Mornin Y'all!
It rained all day at my house yesterday. Poor Buddy got all wet but his legs had been crossed so long he had to go out. I cheated. I took an umbrella. Today looks to be dry and cold. Maybe I can get my laundry finished.

Mornin' all! Man what a gorgeous weekend to end January! It was sunny and around 50 on Saturday, had lunch with my dad, sister, and her kids, and then a surprise 40th birthday dinner with a bunch of racers for a good friend. Sunday was even nicer, low 60s, so I rolled the car out of the trailer and cruised a little. Best thing is, all the freeze plugs are where they belong, in the block!

Bob, that first raceday is always a good time, seeing everyone again. I hope your cleanup isn't too much work.

Floyd, you all still need the rain, right? I hope it's helping out.

1258, that's an awesome deal on the exhaust.

You all have a great day!

Mornin' all! Sunshine to start the day, always good to see and feel.

Fern, the mountains up there around 7 Springs got around 30 inches, so 2 feet sounds about right as it melts. Glad to here your wife was having a good day and smiling. Ol' Mike does bring that out of people! Big Grin

Aww Fern that's so sad. I have two dogs. One is 5, the other going to be 4. At least I think that's their age. Either way my daughter is 15 months and I'm dreading the day I have to explain to her why they aren't around.

Good Morning Everyone.

Hope that you are warm and have a great day. Really cold here last night, in the high 20's but no rain in the future forecast. Some snow in the mountains a few miles east of here, for small towns like Julian the snow brings them business. I've only seem snow down at this level once in the past 53 years, it lasted on the ground for about 30 minutes.

We watched the National news last night and consider ourselves lucky that we don't have the type of weather that the rest of the Country is facing. It reminds me of living in Saint Paul Minnesota then on the farm south of Reading Pennsylvania. Hard life, don't think I could do that again.

Stay warm, drive slow and have a great day everyone.

Bob
