Mornin' all! Over center day, in the words of our dear friend Guy. Rainy and breezy out there, glad it's warm for February in Pittsburgh, otherwise there would be a lot of shoveling going on.

Fern, sorry to hear about your daughter's pup.

Hi Mike! Wave I saw the pic yesterday or the day before, back up in the log truck, great to see. Sweet tea all year round, brother! Big Grin

Bob, you're not far from San Diego, it looks like? Surprised to see that you got that cold. If you lived in MN, then you know what winter is like! I see what they get too, and no thank you. Pittsburgh suits me just fine!

You all have a great day!

I lived in Pittsburgh during WW2, from 1942 until the end of the war then my Family moved back to St. Paul. My Dad went back to work at the Mayo Clinic for a few more years before we moved to Reading, Pennsylvania. I never got over being cold, anything below 85 is uncomfortable for me.

Stay warm and drive safely.

Bob

Mornin' all! Back to normal winter in Pittsburgh, 40 degrees or so today, but nothing to shovel, all good.

Bob, it's changed a little bit since then! Let me know if you ever come in during baseball season - we can catch a game. You sound like my brother a bit... dad figures he was locked out of the house 1 too many times in the winter. He's in the merchant marine, and all the jobs he takes are warm routes/ports.

You all have a great day!

Things change---I left a 10 year old house in a better than average neighborhood in Tucson at the end of the 1950s. Beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. Went by 2 years ago and found the most disgusting area I have seen. Kept my doors locked and my hand on my 9 and got out of there. Things change. Hope everyone has a good day. Will head to rehab to see Mama in awhile---as usual. Chuck parts of Pittsburgh used to be as depressing as Wheeling, WV years ago Tongue

Mornin' all! TGIF! Looks like we're supposed to get a little sunshine here over the weekend, mid 40s, nothing to shovel, all good. I'm hoping for a good game Sunday, maybe pulling a little more for Carolina, since they've never won it, but most of all, I'm rooting for my pool numbers. And maybe to have a piece of pizza and a wing or 2. Big Grin

Fern, there still are, just like every city. I lived all my life in 2 of them until 3 years ago.

You all have a great weekend! Ice cream time!

I think Fern is becoming a cronic complainer on here---seems I never post anything positive. Don't mean it that way. Went to VA hospital yesterday for severe pain in back----Kidney Stones! If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any lately. They gave me some good dope Big Grin and I feel better now. Went by and checked on the other 1/2 and Mama was doing ok. The sun is up, its cold but clear, and the bills are paid. So see it not so bad after all. Get it done today -- you can't count on tomorrow. Everyone have a good day Double Thumbs up

Mornin Y'all!
Goin to be 80* here today and warm all week. Nice way to start off the NHRA race season.
Fern, you know as well as I do the older we get the more issues we have. I'm still having problems with my feet but it's just the skin is so dry and flakey that I have to keep some kind of cream on them to stop the itching and burning. Glad momma is doing okay.
I don't know about anybody else but I enjoyed the game yesterday and really enjoyed what Lady Gaga did. And that fly over was awesome. I stuffed myself stupid with buffalo wings and celery sticks. Fell asleep right at the end and had to rewind it to see the finish. A full belly does that to me.
Diane, God rest her soul, was a book reader and collector. She had this set of 1944 Juris Corpus law books that were just taking up space and collecting dust on top of a long row of cabinets in the hallway. I was trying to find someplace to donate them to but nobody seemed to want them. Just for shI ts and giggles I put them on Craigs List. 72 volumes plus additional annodates, total 82 books. Guy offered e 400 for them including freight, I said 450 since I would have to ship them to Washington. Well, I got them suckers all boxed up, 12 boxes and about 500 lbs, and they are heading to Washington tomorrow. I didn't think they were worth anything. The house keepers are going to have a fit when they see all the dust that was piled behind those books. Now I've got a full set of 1974 Funk & Wagnall Encyclopedias with additional yearbooks if anybody is interested.

Y'all have a gooden. Praying Angel hug

Morning all. Nothing too crazy over the weekend. Had a date night on Saturday with the wife which is hard to come by because she works every other weekend and those are my days off. Wanted to go to the Philly Auto Show, but then I realized I'm not buying anytime soon.

Mornin' all! Good weekend here. My buddy Mark turned 30 last week, and his wife Beth set up a surprise party for him, got him good. Good to see friends and watch all the kids playing. The game was ok, Carolina lost it more than Denver won it. The Yuengling was cold, so I was happy. Lady Gaga did do an excellent job on the anthem. I was nervous she would butcher it in some way.

Fern, you're not complaining. This is what's happening in your life. I haven't had kidney stones before, but friends have, and it does not look like a good time at all. You're dead on with a zero, we are not promised tomorrow.

Floyd, that's pretty cool! You have a little extra racing (or prime rib) money.

1258, dates nights are good stuff. I feel the same way about the new car show here. I can't afford anything there, so why torture myself with their hype.

J, I have to remember to post the pics you sent. I got them on Photobucket.

You all have a great day!

Guess you are right Chuck---Where is Big Mike? I feel pretty good today because I got some good dope. Mama was fine yesterday. Chucks right, Panthers gave it away, offensive line blocked like a Pee Wee team. Bradenton Pro Am finishing up this morning and my friend lost 3rd round in both races .00037 finish line in one. His car ran the same number every time over 3 days----I thought it was pretty good. You all have a good day now, hear.

Mornin' all! Looks like we're in for a week or so of real winter, and not the sunny and mid 40s we had over the weekend. I got to go to the Penguins game last night, on work's nickel, only second hockey game I've seen in the Consol. Pens win, Crosby keeps on his hot streak with a couple of sweet goals, had a good time.

You all have a great day!

Chuck that's awesome about being able to see the hockey game on your works dime.

My company has a box too for the Wells Fargo Center. I've only seen like two flyers games though in the 6+ years I've been here.

Mornin' all! Over center day! Getting a little dose of real winter, couple inches of powdery snow, some cold winds, looks like we have it through the weekend.

J, got the text, I'll add it on. Hopefully will be home tonight and remember to post the others on here. I'm not hurrying winter out just yet. Got to get my heap ready for April 2 first.

Fern, I hope everything goes well, and you're able to see just fine.

1258, yes, good stuff, tough to afford otherwise! Used to get 50% off ticket offers through work, back when they were playing in the Civic Arena. That helped. I'm holding my tongue on the Flyers. Big Grin

You all have a great day!
