Hopin' all is well with all.

We are back from the "Nitro Jam". Wasn't quite what I was expecting. The show was great. Lots of fun.

Chuck, I did get to meet Nate. Nice young man.

But, for us "sportsmen" racers, it was a long weekend. I went out in the second round of the second race, and that was after 10:00 Saturday night. Fridays race was cancelled because of time. We did get a refund, which is good, because I was exhausted, and wasn't going to make the race anyway.

Friday morning, things were really screwed up, and the pits looked like a Georgia freeway after an inch of snow. Rigs parked every which way. The grass was muddy, so we had to park in the grass just off one of the access roads and pit on the road. That wasn't too bad because we had easy return.

It was in the low 90s on Friday, so after all the moving and parking, and doing it all over again, the heat got to me. Thinking I am getting old. Can't blame it on the chemo this time, been off that stuff for over two months.

Anyway, we did have fun. found a couple more ways to rip defeat from the jaws of victory.

Thinking we will pick and choose which races we attend in the Summer heat.

Also, heart a number of rumors that the track will not be here long.

Good evening everyone. Sorry I haven't been here for awhile, but it's that time of year and I've been busy. Great News the Olds is back together again and better than ever. She has a brand new front Alston Chassis and is quite a bit lighter. We took her out to Sacramento today for a test run and she went straight as an arrow and ran faster than she has ever run. Now we are ready to go to the Spring Fling in Vegas this week. So happy to have the baby back together again, now we just need to go win some money. Front halving a car is definitely not cheap.
Well it's late & I need to go to bed. You all have a wonderful day tomorrow and I will post again soon.

Mornin' all! Man, I love this time of year... opening day for the Pirates, PRP's opening day is hopefully this Saturday, baseball and drag racing is what summer is all about! Just hope to win more than you lose, and win the big one, in both! Got my engine out, will be in the garage tonight to clean it up and see if I see any problems, and get the freeze plugs in.

Ken, that's cool you got meet Nate. He is a good youngster, always worked hard at PRP. Sorry the sportman piece didn't go as expected. Did the car run right? And hasn't San Antonio been closed before, or bounced around sanctioning bodies? I don't blame you on the heat. Not looking forward to that, and the Farmer's Alamanac is saying it will be warmer than normal. Same folks who said this would be a bad winter.... ruh roh.

Susie, that is awesome the Olds is back on the track! I hope you have a great time at the Fling, and give my brother Jared a hug for me. Good luck getting through the rest of tax season.

Mike, we had the wind going strong up here too. So bad I thought, twice, that someone was knocking on my door, it was getting rattled so hard. I hope the tests go well for you.

Well back off the foot for a few days and back on crutches and maybe a cast not sure going to the wound care center tomorrow for some attention same old story another infection, man this is old.
The tiggling on the side of my face is from my diabeties,neropthpy (sp)I have it in my feet legs and arms and now my head, well I'm still around and tiggly.................... .................................

Got to say congrats to a friend of mine and his wife on the birth of their baby boy Reagen like the pres.but I can't spell,lol,Barry is my age and Tyra is in her 40's so we all had our fingers crossed that it all work out great and it did, so proud of them................... ...............................

Well lets get after them naps cause as soon as I get this foot healed again I got stuff to do, and then I'm going to retire for good only mow and talk racing and mow and talk racing and mow................ .........................................

It stopped rainin at 5 yesterday mornin just in time for Buddy to go out. That made him happy. He don't mind his feet getting wet he just don't like it comin down on his head. It's rain again so we'll see if he gets lucky again.
Good news is our trailer is leaving Elkhart IN this mornin on it's way out here to sunny So Cal. Gettin the gooseneck hitch installed Friday and the trailer should be here Saturday mornin. I'm excited to see what we bought. Never had one built before so I hope we made the right decisions.

Mike, shushing the birds reminds me of one of my buddies, about 9-10 years ago, got laid off right around now. The first morning he slept in, and it was all good, til, in his words, "the #$%&*^%@ birds woke me up!"

Good midday folks, kinda running late today was out and about all day yesterday and it caught up with me this morning.
Got to stay off my foot for a while and try to heal the sore place up and then the Dr. said a change in lifestyle is in order and hopefully save the foot, it's kinda hard to get more lazy than I'm being now so well see how this works out.....................
