Mikey,

My heart goes out to your Mom and you. It' a sad thing that as we get older we have to watch the ones around us pass on. Keep the faith and God Bless.

Mornin' all. Maybe it's fitting that it's raining and cloudy up here this morning. I know death is a part of life, but it doesn't make it any easier. Mike, I'm real sorry the prognosis wasn't good for mom, and I'm even sorrier she's missing the family that isn't stopping by. Hard visit at the funeral home the other night, for Shelby, the guy a couple pit spots up from me, hard reading about Transman, and my buddy's dad is looking at 2 to 15 months, they just found out. It just sucks, and I know I'm looking at it from the outside... I really feel for momma Hawks, Steve, Shelby, and Barney, and how they are feeling and dealing.

Hoping you all have a good day! hug

Praying........................................

Well hope you alls Friday and weekend will be filled with happy thoughts and take advantage of all the good times that we have been allowed to enjoy...................... Wave............................................

Mornin' all! TGIF!! Hoping it's going to be a productive weekend. 2 weeks to opening day at PRP, IF Mother Nature cooperates. Right now, she's looking pretty mean still. She can be such a ... um, witch. You know what I mean.

Mike, you said it well, hopefully the middle part is long and has lots of the good stuff in it.

Dinner tonight with my parents, sister and her kids, and hopefully my cousin and her husband, good stuff. Tomorrow is wrenching on the Olds, and a reunion banquet for Keystone Raceway, and Sunday winter comes back... maybe I'll get some stuff done inside the house.

Sunday is also dear Guy's birthday. I miss him. It's also marks 7 years since Eric Medlen passed away. I miss him too. Just out there doing what he loved to do, smile on his face. So I'm going to make sure I get some ice cream for dessert tonight, with the family, and hope you all can get some too, along with a bunch of smiles and good times with people you love. Have a great weekend!

Mornin Y'all!
Yep, ole Guys been gone from us for 7 years but Jaime is still out there keeping Priceless One on the track.
Goin to be a chilly day here, 67*, but we will get by. LOL!
Having a hell of a time finding somebody reasonable to bring my new trailer out from Elkhart to Cucamonga. I think a buck 80 a mile is a little high. It's going to be covered with dust by the time I get it. Been finished since the first of the month. God grant me patience and I want it right now.
Y'all have a gooden! Praying Angel hug

Good Evening All;

Hoping everyone is doing well. Mike, good to hear Mom is doing better. Enjoy every day you have with her.

Just spent a few days down in Rockport. Got to visit with a few good friends. Spent a lot of time talking over breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't know why, maybe the humidity, but all my close shrunk, and nothing fit after just a few days down there.

Anyway, I am feeling so good, I have decided to look for full time employment..............for Peg. Don't quite understand why she isn't excited about it as I am.

Weather here is getting better by the day. But, just enough rain to mess up the racing. Hopefully, we will get the Nationals in at San Antonio Raceway.

Anyway, got things to do.

Mornin' all! Sun is out, but we're back in the 30s for a few days. This winter just won't end. The Pirates opening day is a week away.. I have been to openers where it snows during the game.

Floyd, if you try to send us some warmth, I'll try to send you some rain. On Mondays, so it doesn't interrupt racing. Big Grin You are showing some amazing patience, but I don't blame you. Those miles add up quick, rolling from Indy.

Michelle, I hope you got engines fired up!

Ken, glad to hear you're out there enjoying yourself. I know all too well that feeling of humidity, or the washer/dryer, shrinking up clothes. Big Grin I hope you get the Nationals in too. Always fun to see nitro, and I dig the fuel altereds and nostalgia funny cars.

Mike, I sure hope this March goes out like a lamb... tired of it acting like a lion.

By the way, I didn't mean to confuse anyone, but, Eric Medlen died 7 years ago yesterday. We lost Guy about 3 years ago. It was nice to see people posting on Guy's Facebook yesterday.

You all have a great day!

Mornin' all. I'm hoping this was the last morning in the teens. Bbbrrr. Supposed to be in the 50s this afternoon, and on a little warm streak... we'll see.

Mike, glad mom is ok. I hope they figure out what's going on with the tingling. Maybe it's a new way for you to predict weather?? Big Grin

Ken, I hope you're racing in San Antonio this weekend, and that the IHRA show is a good one. I really enjoy it at PRP.

Prayers going out to Transman/Steve, and his family. I know that is a really hard situation. Prayers going out to my buddy's dad... he's fighting mad, so I think he has a good attitude.

You all have a great day!

Good Evening Everyone;

Mike, good to hear about your Mom. Hope the tingling is not serious. Keep us posted.

Well, getting ready for tomorrow. Got all the shopping done, and mostly ready to go. Got to be there at 7:30, so it will be an early morning.

Got my competition license suspended today. Had to go shopping with Peg. I was told to push the buggy and behave myself. So, anyway, there I was, pushing the buggy and minding my own business. Got a bit bored, so started making race engine sounds. I kept it to an idle until we got to the deli section, and for what ever reason, just had to do a burn out. Peg got all out of shape, and suspended my license, and I won't be going shopping with her for a month. Hell, if I knowed that is all it takes, I would have been working on my jet engine sound effect a long time ago.

Anyway, hoping to have two full days of racing. Then, a good friend is coming down from Denver, and we are going to get the car rewired and a few other things. He will be here two weeks so we should have time to do the car and get to see some sights.

Later

Ken Gasbarri

Mornin' all! TGIF!! Nice to come to work in a lighter jacket, and not the Carhartt, 50 out there this morning. A little rainy tomorrow, but warm enough to work on the hot rod. Planning on pulling the engine, doing the freeze plugs, and getting things done, hopefully have it back in Sunday. PRP opens a week from tomorrow, weather permitting, fingers crossed.

Ken, have a great time, and good luck this weekend. if you are in San Antonio for the Nitro Jam, and you see a young tall blond kid IHRA official named Nate, tell him I said hello. He's a good guy... came from IN to Wyotech near PRP, worked at PRP while he was in school, and got a job with IHRA. Nice work getting the license suspended. Kinda like being assigned laundry, and shrinking everything. Big Grin

Mike, I hope the new round of antibiotics dries that spot up. Little scary, dealing with all that, and you sure are due a break there. I like your plan... might even copy it some. Big Grin

Prayers for Steve and Barney, and everyone that needs them. It's that time... ice cream!

I'm sorry Mike, I posted the other day without catching up and didn't realize about Mom's dr apt, I'm sorry your family doesn't do more too. Hope you got good news about the tingling today. Sorry about the loss of your friend Chuck and I didn't think it had been 7 years since Guy left, I ended up on page 198 the other day, laughing and joking with Floyd and Guy about being a fish whisperer lol...

Sending thoughts and prayers all around, if you have a second I could use a small one, I took off on some ice down cement steps last week, landing on my sacrum, or as the kids keep telling "mom broke her butt" what I know is it is one of the most painful things I've ever felt, but it could've been a lot worse I guess....

We did get both engines fired as of today Chuck, planning on being at VMP next wknd for the Lucas div 1 race =)

hope you all have a great wknd, eat some ice cream!
