It's a bit nipply out here this morning. I've drank half a pot of coffee and surfed the web site. Might as well go back to bed for awhile and warm up. Not much to do till the kids get here this afternoon. Then the fun begins. I got rib eyes marinating, goin to have all the kids over for a bbq one night this week. Sorry the #2 daughter isn't goin to be here, but it's her choice. The other 3 kids, their spouses and 6 grand kids are goin to make for a fine time. The grocery store sure loved me yesterday.

Mornin' all! I hope you all had a great weekend. Christmas Eve was great, mom's cookin', time with my aunts, cousin, sisters, and nieces. Christmas day was great too, over to my aunt and uncle's for dinner, couple more aunts and cousin, sisters, nieces, parents. Good stuff.

Floyd, I'm kinda on your schedule. Our own Christmas won't happen until this weekend, when my brother and his family come in. Only bummer is my youngest sister will have to head back to SC before they get here.

Afternoon to all! I hope you all had a great Christmas. It was back to work today and I did not hear my alarm this morning... or didn't turn it on... or turned it off - its still a mystery.

Anyway - My first Christmas in Alaska was nice - In my family back home there are no young children, so seeing my 3 and 7 yr old nieces open presents and play all day Christmas and yesterday was really nice. By the time I called my family back East, they had finished dinner and when on speakerphone, I was pretty sure they had gotten into the eggnog... my dad's eggnog that is. It made me pretty homesick! I got an Alaskan Amber sweatshirt(my fav beer, new pajamas, some little stuff and money from family back home for new snowboarding gear. Went all day Friday by myself... was kinda nice. Too cold yesterday.. lifts close at -20 and it was -25. brr. Had to actually plug in the car last night.

My fav little gift? my race car cookie cutter.

We had a nice Christmas, only one thing missing at the table.

But, I couldn't be more happier to officially welcome Sonya and Nelle into our family. The Brewer family will be having two weddings! Joey and Sonya have set their date for November 24, 2012, and Jerry (T) and Nelle have a tentative date in October of 2012! How about that! Lots of planning to do! I know our Angels in their peaceful place are very happy! How did I get to be so lucky? I love my boys and girls!!

Had a house full last nite and a second Christmas. It is great. My kids brought their Boston terrier 7 month old pup and he and buddy are getting along good. We have busy couple of days planned but it'll going to be worth it.

Mornin' all! Over center day! And my younger sister's birthday. We took her out last night to the casino, she broke even. I lost $50 playing blackjack. Was up $40, then hit a bad streak to end the night... dealt 17-19, dealer had 20, like 4 hands in a row, 1 I doubled down on. DOH!

Christine, that's what I'm talking about! I'm really proud of Joey and Sonya. And I didn't even realize til last night that T and Nellie got engaged too, when she mentioned the photographer who would be doing their engagement pics. Great stuff!

Christina... -25??? Ummmmm no thanks! I would like to see the racecar cookie cutter though. I did make cutout cookies this weekend with my nieces, Santa, trees, angels, snowman, etc,... it would have been nice to have something my speed.

ChuckT - yep. Its cold. -18 here in town... I have barely shoveled my driveway, so I almost got stuck this morning. Time to buy a truck! Would surely get around and do more of what I want ... never have to worry and can drive to Anchorage if I want which is 6 hrs south in the summertime weather. It feels pretty cold after our warmsnap of 0-15 above. believe it or not, its so dry here that -10 here feels like 20 above back home in Virginia.

Morning gang It's been a while. We had a good Christmas and we are trying to catch up for NYE. Then it slows down right?!? Wrong Megan turns 17 on the 8th and they (Megan and a few of her friends that have birthdays close to hers) are going to have their birthday party in Scotts shop , we get the week to recoop from that and then we have a wedding to go to in IL....
