It has turned down right cold here in our area,had a little snow lastnight,but it's pretty but I'm done it can leave anytime,it is winter drather have it now than in may............... .......................

We had a great time with the family as well this weekend, for Christmas part II. My momma's cookin', playing with the nieces and nephews, sitting and talking with the family, all great stuff. I hope you all had as good a start to the New Year as I did.

Holy CRAP Its cold here... cant wait for it to warm up at the end of the week. Its been -35 to -45 all weekend.. I was sick most of Friday and all of Saturday and started feeling good enough to run errands on Sunday. I rung in the New Year alone, passed out drugged up on some cold medicine at 11:30pm... but none the less I am hoping for a wonderful 2012. I can't wait to get home to visit my friends and family... but I'll at least have a trip to Colorado in February. Compared to here, it'll be a heat wave. I'll probably be sweating bullets and snowboarding in a hoodie.

good evening gang, somebody needs to turn the a/c off brrrr...kids go back to school tomorrow 2 hrs late because of low temps (no kidding) back to work after a much needed holiday...

Michelle - 2 hrs late due to cold temps??? I think here parents can keep their kids home if its -40 or colder??? Yeah, low temps there = a heat wave here.

Christine - you feel better, too! I spent 2 days layed up on the couch and another 2 taking it easy and got back to work yesterday. I have some homemade Turkey soup from Thanksgiving that I froze... might have to break that out soon.

Mike, I do know what you mean. The knee is doing ok. I had a Dr appt Tuesday, and he said everything looks fine. No popping or grinding. It's just going to take some time for it to heal and to quit hurting.
We got some warmer weather for the next couple of days around here, so it should be a nice weekend.

Mornin' all! Sun is out for the moment, I think we're going above freezing today, pushing 50 tomorrow before cooling off a little again. I'll take it. The older I get, the more the cold seems to get to me. I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else. At the very least, I need an offseason to rebuild the car and the finances!

Hi Mike! Good to hear you got a good report from the doc too. No week off for the Steelers, 4:30 Sunday against the Broncos. I'm a little worried because of Ben's ankle, Clark not playing, and the Broncos D is good. Hopefully Steelers D is better.

Christina, Calvin & Hobbes is the best! My sister in law got me the hardcover editions a few Christmases ago. She's the best! Do an image search on your search engine of choice, on Calvin and Hobbes, snowmen, you should see plenty. Open one you like, right click, go to properties, copy the address, then paste the address in "Display Image" - 3rd button from the right up there ^^ on the tool bar, down from the smileys.
