Mornin Y'all!
Time to leave Phoenix. Yesterday was quite a day. We had 2 spinouts and 3 crashes in a very small field. All drivers are okay, one gal broke a couple of ribs when she t-boned the wall right past the finish line. Her car is junk. The other 2 are repairable after a lot of dollars. The cars we were with came out okay, had some handling issues with one but got down both lanes. I don't believe this organization will be back to Firebird. 3 crashes from the left lane are not coincidence. The wind and the narrow grovve aren't good for high horsepower short wheelbase cars.
Time to hit the road.
Y'all have a gooden.

Mornin' all! Monday again... but I am thankful to have my job, especially in this day and age. Keeps me racing and meeting you fine folks. Smile

Hi Mike! Wave Glad you had a good time, and that's so cool Mannie did too, and at the BPS. That's some good stuff, seeing old friends, and having old friends like Dave Rampy.

Bob, sounds great! I'm sure we can talk Christine into it. I'd like to go to my buddy's dad's place out in the woods and shoot some clays, but I gotta get the car finished first.

Michelle, we've all been there. I have no doubt you'll be lighting lamps real soon. Like maybe in 6 weeks at PRP? Big Grin

Ouch Floyd, that smarts. Glad to hear the drivers are good, but it sux to lose the cars.

Mouse, glad to hear the S10 is back to life! And it's not a bad thing to be a racing addict.... I hope. Big Grin

Guy, x2 what Bob said about the colonoscopies. Laughing Get some rest and hope all goes well.

I thought I uploaded the pic to PB, but I think I just put it on FB late last night, on Forever 53. The return road that goes to Christine & co's pits was renamed, complete with signs, to Big Brewer Lane, and at the track yesterday after the racers meeting, the signs were revealed. It was a windy rainy day, so I know there will be a better picture when we have better weather. Two of the boys, Markie and Joey, were there along with Christine, so there were tears and hugs going around. Big hugs for Christine and their boys. hug hug

It was only on there for a little bit, before wet sanding it off, but it was nice to see the quarter in one color. I think it's coming out really nice, I'm really happy with it. My buddy Ed has a great eye and touch for getting the high and low spots, when he's not yelling at me for oversanding.

Well, it's "P" day: Preparation (Pee and Poop) as I start taking all that nasty stuff in about an hour and half! Right now enjoying some lemonade which I will continue to drink a lot of until I go to bed! Have to be at hospital to check in out-patient at 6:45 in the morning! Not going to be pleasant afternoon I am sure. Mike, how many loads of scrap did you have to sell to get you and Mannie in at Z-Max? I went to mess at Firebird (Arizona Nationals) and think if they could have they woulda took my right arm! Gettin' to the point it is a waste of heard earned money to go to those "dog and pony" shows anymore! You all have a good day while I shyt my brains out! Eyes Frown Banging Head Bann Cool

Mornin' all!

Just so we know who we're talking about:

Happy birthday Mannie! Party Ice Cream Wave I hope you have a great day!

Hi Mike! Wave That's the good stuff. Today is also my buddy, more like another brother, Jerry's birthday.

Thanks Mouse, it's getting there. It's going to hurt this weekend... calling for 80 and sun on Saturday, PRP's opening day, but I'll get there soon enough, I hope.

I hope you're doing ok out there, Guy, and not having to sleep on your stomach. Big Grin

Ice Cream Ice Cream today in honor of Mannie and Jerry, woo hoo! Big Grin

Mike -- you talking about your son brought tears to my eyes... kids are such a blessing, aren't they? Happy birthday to your Mannie -- he is a cutie pie! Angel Do you think that he will race Jr. Dragsters one day? It's such a great start into racing for kids.

Chuck, I'm like you -- opening day is going to hurt not being able to race yet. BUT.... good things come to those who wait! At least we will have beautiful weather. I'm debating bringing JJ out that day -- he needs to get used to the sounds and smells of the track... because he's going to be there a lot as he gets older. Coming from a racing family, I'm hoping that he will want to race Jr. Dragsters like his 'ole mama did back in the day, LoL!

You all take care! Smile

Well, as I suspected the Dr. said I am still an "almost perfect a-hole"! Got one little area that is a little constricted but as long as I am going to Los Dos, it seems to be taking care of matters! On the sadder side, the rancher who made national news headlines yesterday by being killed by suspected "wetback" was a friend of mine in our yonger years as was all of his family. Really pulled on the old heart strings to think that someone would kill such a helpful person as Rob Krentz was! Rob was only 58 years old and was apparetly shot on his quad while checking water lines and fences on his southeast AZ 35,000 acre ranch! My condolences to entire Kretz Clan! Eyes Hum Sorry Wave Cool

Glad Mannie had fun last night! Tell HOpe we got the invite when we got home. My lil Man will be 7 on Easter Sunday! I'm not sure what we're doing yet, but we'll let you know. Are you coming to school?

Love you Ma B! It's getting close to time to hang out with you & Chuck & my prp buds...talked to Fred Craw last night who told me to be sure & give the track owner? I think a hard time that he was a good friend of his. Not sure how to get Madi's Jr there, maybe we can find someone with room to haul it for us. HOpe you all have a day full of smiles!!!! hug

Slept good last night, wake up this mornin' with shoulder's hurting, cold sweat (more like hot flashes) and haven't figured it out yet! Temp was 97, blood pressure was 106 over 65. Thinkin' it might be the after-effects of the anesthesia which I threw up after I got home yesterday as I did last time they used that product on me! Feelin' a bit more normal right now but will see how the day goes! You all have a gooden! Hum Banging Head boring Wave Cool

Mornin' all! Hey Bob, my daddy didn't raise no fool. Big Grin Wink

Hi Mike! Wave Glad to hear you had more of that good stuff last night. Of course, now I want a steak and a brownie. Big Grin

Hey Kimmy, glad you stopped by. Mike, I know from Facebook JJ is doing better. Kimmy, I say get him used to it now... but I say that regardless of anyone's age. Big Grin Are you in a second ride, or sharing your dad's?

Guy, sorry to hear about your friend. And sorry to hear you're under the weather. I think you must be a quart low on Los Dos. There's my prescription for you. Big Grin

Michelle, Michael Tedesco is the PRP track owner, and he has 2 girls in Fred Craw juniors. Unfortunately, for the May race, there is no junior racing that weekend. It's all Pro Am, and then Saturday night is box/no box $1000 to win, and Sunday is box/no box, $1500 to win. IHRA cars are allowed to run their set ups (stops), and both are 1/8th mile.

Another beautiful day out there, hope to get to enjoy some of it. You all have a great day. hug
