LMAO - like they were gonna strong-arm millions of Americans to take the vaccine, then say "oh wait, there's a problem with the vaccine, it's not approved."

The so-called "approval" was only ever going to go one way.

Yeah I get that yearly too. No issues. Also had shingles virus shot a while back.

I didn't get the flu shot till I got the flu. I didn't get the shingles shot till I got shingles. Now I get them both. I caught covid last year not long after it started. I had a fairly mild case. I didn't get the vaccine till I had too so I could get a surgery. Now I will probably get the booster they are promoting.

I got my first shot at the beginning of the month. My reaction was worse than my actual experience with covid back in February, going well beyond the expected fever, chills, dizziness, and fatigue. I spoke to another racer this weekend who survived two months in ICU last fall who just got his first shot about the same time as me... and experienced the same symptoms of a sharp stabbing chest pain and lingering broader light chest pain. I'm not happy about it at all. I'm supposed to get my second dose tomorrow, but I will not take it until I consult with my doctor. Got an appointment on Thursday.

Had my doctor's appt on Thursday. They checked everything out, did an ECG, and heart checked out normal. On his recommendation, I got the second dose on Saturday. Pretty much a repeat of the first go-round... chills, fever, etc and couldn't hardly sleep the first night, followed by a debilitating headache and fever all day on Sunday. I was unable to function at all and was only conscious for about an hour up until 6pm when my fever finally broke. Took me both lunch and dinner to get through half a bowl of ramen and a bottle of gatorade. Down to headache and low fever the next day. Last night, had the return of chest pain right on cue, but it wasn't as bad and didn't last as long. Feeling about 95% today.

Chip Johnson made a Facebook post asking about people experiences with the vaccine, which was the most honest, open, and non-cluttered thread I've seen to date. Those anecdotes seem to match up fairly well with official stats: Apparently I'm just among the "lucky" few who have had severe reactions to the vaccine. Should've bought a lottery ticket. I'd say, "at least that's over with", until they start the booster BS. That's coming in just a few weeks for those who got their shots early. Roll Eyes

We got our first shot today. Hate to capitulate but wife said is time. Sister in law, 82 tested positive for covid fully vaccinated. She had mild stomach bug for 2 days.

We are next oldest and may as well be lab rats. I still do not fully trust effectiveness but doubt it can be terrible for us. If so, we old anyway.

2 hours later I feel no effects from shot, cannot even where it went in. Son had 4 am sweats when he got employer mandated shot months ago. No other issue.

I have to travel in NE soon so figured get it out of way.

This is my thought as far as getting the shot before my antibody level subsides. Everything I hear is that the higher your antibody level is, the worse the vaccine kicks your ass. I don't need additional ass kickings in my life.

My Covid episode was May 28th of 2020 when it started. I was riding the antibody train, or at least hoped I was after. LOL I just got my shot on 8/22 and had almost zero effects. Sore shoulder but less than a Tetanus shot.

My wife got her first shot August last year. She had Covid the same time I did. She had high fever, chills, body aches, head ache, and nausea afterwards. She didn't take the second shot then. She took another shot with me Sunday. All the same symptoms again but not quite as sever and adding in a numb band around her head.

I will add I am someone who almost never gets sick, have no allergies that I can even think of. I have touched poison ivy on many occasions and had no reaction. She is allergic to Codeine and a few other things so it stands to reason she might have a larger reaction than me. 8 other immediate family members that have taken it and only one had a reaction. Small case of hives I guess would be the best description. She actually just got over having Covid after getting the vaccine. Very mild symptoms and is fine now.

Just a few more examples.

Good info thank you. Seems like almost nobody is getting quantitative antibody tests done.

You know Bucky I have considered the antibody test but just didn’t want to spend the money knowing it would probably show I did have them. Now knowing the amount might have been interesting but there isn’t a number saying if you have this amount you’re safe so I went ahead with the shot. I figure more is better.

My wife got her 3rd shot last Thursday, no reaction. Fine on Friday, then Saturday got sick like a real bad case of the flu. Lasted two days then went away. Reaction to the shot? Dont know. Grand daughter also got sick the same day,(Coincidence), she had to go get a covid test mandated by her work, which came back negative, but exactly the same symptoms as my wifes. Im not eligible till November to get the third one cause Im not in the compromised health category.

There is a bad flu like virus here that gets in the lungs here. Both grandkids had it and one parent. All tested twice not Covid.

I know that they were starting to see more RSV in kids here. It's unusual this time of year.

Just read that Reba McEntire and her husband (both vaccinated) THOUGHT they had COVID again, only to find out it was RSV.

My son had RSV when he was a toddler, back in 2005, and it scared the crap out of me. Symptoms very similar to COVID patients - shortness of breath, low blood oxygens levels, lethargy. He had to spend one night in the hospital. Lots of kids get it.

The only data I have found is this chart thus far.

My wife was over 900 two weeks ago from a mid March infection.

My wife was over 900 two weeks ago from a mid March infection.

BURLINGTON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2021-- Nearly 87% of naturally infected COVID-19 patients maintained antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 proteins for at least 10 months, according to a new Labcorp (NYSE: LH) analysis of specimens from 39,086 individuals.

The study, published May 24 in The Lancet-affiliated EClinicalMedicine, offers real-world evidence of the body’s response to the virus and the possibility of protection against future infection. It is the largest known COVID-19-related study by specimen volume of its kind, harnessing Labcorp’s robust testing infrastructure to enhance the public’s understanding of this potentially deadly virus.

https://www.labcorp.com/corona...nths-after-infection

Our son came down with it last March. This March he was exposed to the virus again from a young lady who tested positive. He was tested several times during that time and was negative each time. So, antibodies may last longer in some cases. And at the time he could not get the vaccine because he was 33.

Just got the Flu shot today. Pharmacist says I can get my Covid booster on September 20th. So far no reactions to both Covid shots and flu shot. Flu shot probably to early to tell but I've never had a reaction to the flu shot before. I'm 72 and pretty healthy. I did read that 78% of the folks who contracted Covid are obese and the ones who have had to be hospitalized. Eating a salad for lunch today.

I work for a health care system in NC. stats came out this morning on our local hospital. 153 people in hospital on ventilator right now. 144 are unvaccinated 9 are vaccinated.

my wife's best friend, 51 years old with underlying conditions and an anti vaccine person is in the hospital on 100% O2 and one step away from ICU and a vent. for those who will please lift her up in prayer and the many others fighting the China virus.

I do believe in choice and not mandates. but it is bad when it goes bad.

ep-I have had the vaccine and will take the booster, which I was on the fence about, and have not had any problems.

My wife and I have been exposed to COVID 9-10 times at this point and haven't had any symptoms.

I don't understand why we would need the shot, considering the shot only suppresses symptoms, and does not prevent infection or becoming a carrier and transmitting it to others.

The same studies that have been done by the drug companies are showing that quite a few people are this way. So why does everyone need the shot if they don't want it?

Because the left lives in fear, and lose their freaking minds if others refuse to join them in their hell.
