Happy Birthday AJ. Seems like yesterday you were in a jr down at Fairmont dragway. That is why I always feel old when we talk.

Wow - what a great racing weekend we had! Great weather, great track conditions, and almost no delays! CHEERS to the PRP Staff for making it happen.

That said - JEERS to the PRP Employee who decided the new "rule" about buying into another class after first round has started. Some things to think about:

1. Does this mean we need to be early enough at the track to buy our entries before first round of JUNIORS?
2. What happens if a Street racer has to work and arrives after Top has started - are you going to turn away his money?
3. The Obvious - Michael and Frank always stressed that the track is a BUSINESS - and every business I ever heard of wanted to MAKE MORE MONEYMONEYMONEY. Why would ANYONE deny a racer who is willing to pay to double or triple class? Your money is the same color as mine - I personally welcome any Top, Bike, Mod or Trophy racer to join us in the Street lanes any time!

Just Joan

Spun driver side axle tube counter clockwise. Need to find another housing and swap internals over or get this tube spun back and hope it's not bent. Weld and brace whatever housing goes back in.

not sure what the IHRA and/or track rules say, but if first round was in progress/completed i would think as long as you payed entry + buyback and went into buybacks of that class it would be allowed.

All I can say is WOW!!! What a weekend.

Big Congrats to Markie Brewer for picking up his first win in Modified. It was a great all Motorworks final between Markie and Mike Egan.

Also Big Congrats to my buddy Mark Romeo the lone semi-finalist on Saturday and taking the win on Sunday. You are on a roll my friend. After this weekend there will be one heck of a battle for the modified championship between Ron Boyce, Markie and Mark.

Congrats to Jeff 'The Hammer' Hann for the RU on Saturday. You were driving great.

Congrats to Mr P for his win in Top on Saturday made it 2 in row.

Also Andy Conrath for his win on Sunday.

Congrats to Joey Devola for clinching the street championship and to Matt Powell for locking up the bike championship.

Congrats to all the other winners and RU's over the weekend.

This is going to be an exciting weekend at PRP.

Ouch Ed. I never got up there to take a look. Would Bob say more rpm would solve that issue?? Hum Big Grin

Just my worthless 2 cents, but I see no reason to stop tech card sales either. Whatever the rule will be, it would help to have it posted/published.

Congrats to Mr Paton on 2 in a row, nice hot streak! Jeff "The Hammer" Hann, you're fitting in with the Camaro nicely yourself.

Mark Romeo, 6 weekends in a row that you were in a final, one class or another! Mark Brewer, awesome final round with Egan, congrats on that big win! The chase for the Mod championship has sure been an exciting one, coming down to the last day once again. Good luck to all!

Big time congrats to Joey Devola for wrapping up the Street points. On Saturday, Joey, Joey Pinskey, Rich Penn, and I were all talking. Joey D obviously had the bull's eye on his back, and he accepted with grace and sportsmanship that we would be trying to line up with him if we could. We all agreed that whoever won the championship would deserve it, and would be someone we would be proud to call champion. So, I am proud to call Joey Devola the 2010 Aamco Transmission of Lower Burrell Street class champion, as well as my friend.

It's going to be an exciting last day of points, as racers try to qualify for the bracket finals team, and rise up the final standings. One thing I'm thinking... with all the great racing that's been going on all year, I'm feeling good about Team PRP going into the bracket finals.

Congratulations to Crazy Joey D for one heck of a great season!! I really tried on Sunday to take him up on his offer to GIVE me his first place if I could win two days in a row Rolling but I did finally get my triple oh - too bad it was .0005 RED!!
Seriously, I think this year has been one of the best competitive years we have had in Street. We have many veteran racers having terrific years, as well as a new group of "newbies" that are kicking butt regularly. Look at how Rachel has really come alive in her 'vette!!
So whomever makes the Street is Neat Team this year - you deserve it! We would be hard pressed to find any nine more deserving racers...

I don't get on here very often anymore, but figured it was time that I did today.

Joe and I talked many times over the summer and a lot over this past weekend about finishing first in points and how he would make it there if he kept true to his racing and let it come to him. Joe has raced his butt off season after season to try and obtain that Number 1 spot, but this year it definitely has a sweeter taste to it as we know we had a Special Angel riding shotgun and pulling for Joe all the way.

I am sad that I could not be there on Sunday to watch him win the day and seal up the points, but I was hosting our annual Labor Day Picnic with our family and friends. They were all here at the house pulling for Joe as he kept updating me.

I am so proud of Joe and his winning, his determination, his poise, and his sportsmanship never wavered throughout the season even as we started the year wit the issues with Eleanor and switched to racing our Stella instead. He was worried at first about having to race Stella and whether he would be able to pull off any wins with a car he had really never raced. I knew there was a reason we bought that car and that Mark and Mom sold it to us.

Joe, to you, I am so proud of you. These past six years have definitely had moments of good times and bad for us and together we have made it last and overcome all that has been dealt to us. Keep true to yourself baby and the best is yet to come! I Love You Forever and Ever!!! I am so happy for you, you truly deserve it.

Even though we are glad to have this win it is also accepted with a heavy heart as Mark is not here to hug you and tell you what a great job you have done.
