With apologies to the Mopar folks there, especially since many of them took today off, like Barry and AJ, better it rain today than tomorrow! Big Grin

Overall though, I hope the rain is done for all of the rest of the racedays, from this weekend on. Mother Nature has been one cruel beotch this year.

I never had the pleasure of formally knowing Curt, outside of a hello and a head nod passing in the lanes, but I know he was a good guy, and a friend to many. It might be just a race to some, but it means something to me, to pay a little respect via horsepower to his memory.

God speed Scott Kalitta.

That car never had a chance to slow down. Looked like he got chute out but it never opened. It just spun around closed behind car from what replay off ESPN showed. Then the wall at end of track which car hit at high speed.

i mounted a cam on ryans car yesterday. here is the 2nd round pass
i had a new belt on to break it in so there is some belt squeal due to its a little tight,
but it gives a good prospective of what these kids do from their point of view.
round 2 pass

i just used my canon powershot dig. cam.
used a tripod top mount and just zip tied it to the cage. then the cam clips right into it.
just put the cam to video mode and youre ready to go.
i was shocked myself on how well it turned out

My Bro was on!!! He would have been tough at Bristol the way he was killing the tree and driving the stripe! About the only bummer is that he raced Shelly in the semis instead of the final. He was .007 green, she was -.004 red, and it's probably a good thing, because she was under by .002, and he was under by .01x. AJ started driving angry, then angrier (stripe sandwich, anyone?), and whacked his way to the win! It was sweet! It was also very cool to see Curt George Jr win the truck class.

I can't imagine what the Kalitta families and teams are going through right now. Take nothing for granted, in a second it can be all gone.

Saturday was the first "greasy dodge weekend" I have ever been to........ and I have to say there were a lot of nice mopars there.

I hope the Mopars against the world, and the junior race turned out well for the track, as I enjoyed it, and will be back again if they do it that way again.

Congrats to the Pittsburgh winners in the big car classes..... I can't really say that about the juniors though, because the Beaver spring cars came and kicked our butts, I sure hope we look better than that this weekend Razz.

I saw quite a few spectators, some stopped to ask questions about our juniors.

Most important, keep the shiny side up

steve,
i know for one, i could have kicked ryans butt sat.
he gave the stripe back and left sam cross first.
makes me think he still has a crush Roll Eyes
last year at beaver, he couldnt go up to her and ask her which lane she wanted without turning red and getting tongue tied around her.
i think the PRP teams will hold their own this weekend.

Geez, Jeff, take it easy on the boy! Smile I don't know if there's a racer on here that hasn't given the stripe back at least once. I know I sure have. All part of the joys of bracket racing! Big Grin
