Marty leaves for down under tomorrow for the next 10 days. Annual planning meetings.
He said the hay hauler is going into the shop as soon as he gets back. His new 40x60 shop is all set up with 2 lifts, a 4 post and a 2 post, welders cabinets and benches.
I thought he was going overboard buying this place but he's got everything under control and all his buttons have been pushed.
He got a new house, his wife got a pool, waterfall and slide and spa and he got a *****in shop. Proud of him.

My basketball hope didn't go so well. I rooted for Duke then NC. Both losing efforts but close games.

Mornin, y'all,

Electrical codes have really changed in the last 65 or they didn't have inspectors back in those days. Had to have a new sub panel put in and it turned out to be a lot more work than expected. Panel sizes aren't even close so we needed a bunch of wall surgery. All new panel and all new breakers and they are all going to be tagged. A little stucco work outside and we are good to go.
Y'all have a gooden

They must have Floyd, our neighborhood is early 70's and my next door neighbors had solar put in and had to have all new everything in their load panel plus 3 sub boxes. Side of their house looks like a power plant with all the boxes, conduit, and switch gear.

I had breakers that wouldn't stay set and buss bars that were corroded and arcing. It was a '50's style SQ D and I couldn't find breakers for it. I have a neighbor that's been an electrician for 40 years that was helping me and he finally siad we need to upgrade the panel. Since I was tired of lights going out and the timer on my coffee pot not working I said let's go for it.
He only works part time so he did this in his spare time. My daughter asked me what it was going to cost and I said it doesn't matter. I just want it done. Tom said he would take care of me and I've known him for a lot of years so I can trust him. He did most of my LED lights on the patio and the bathrooms for free so I won't complain.

Looks like I'll head for VMP for 2 $5000 to win foot brake races. Hard to beat 2 for $200 but looks like it will be cold

Evenin y'all,

We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave.

Put it to music. 93 yesterday, 94 today and 95 tomorrow.

Enjoy the cold, Fern and good luck.

Spent the weekend at VMPs foot brake race (no button nationals) Sure were plenty of buttons and other miscellaneous gadgets in attendance but it was a very good well run race. I did not hear one complaint other than it was so cold. One racer had left US13 and came down there. Anyway glad they had it and proud that so many showed up. Thats what makes people repeat these type of events. I know for sure the full purse was paid Sat but not sure about today as I left around 2. They even had an excellent announcer and I hope they have him back. 4 hour ride but worth it.

After noon y'all!

Ryan McClanahan had a h3ll of time in Las Vegas.
He took the Stock Eliminator title at the 4 wide nationals and then stayed for the double divisional and took the Super Stock title at both races.
I would say he enjoyed Las Vegas. clapping

Howdy all. Still waiting for the season to start here. Looks like tomorrow will be the 4th straight cancellation, weather turns to crap overnight after a beauty of a day today.

Fern, happy way belated birthday. I'm glad you're out there having fun. I can't remember if I told you, but I'm a big Duke fan. My mom did Mike Gminski's wedding cake back in the early 80s; he married a Pittsburgh girl. My oldest brother went to Duke. Me, him, my sister in law, and dad were at the Duke-Kentucky regional final in '92, with Laettner's OT winner at the buzzer. I like the Tar Heels too, since the Jordan days, and was hoping they'd pull off the win this year since they beat Duke.

Floyd, that dinner looked damn good, making me drool. Marty's shop sounds awesome. And, happy wife, happy life, right? What's the plan on the Hay Hauler? McClanahan is one bad dude!

Malicious, that was cooked perfectly! Anything past medium on quality beef is abuse! Razz

You all have a great weekend, and happy Easter.

I had me one of those big ol prime ribs Thur night a little late for my birthday. Cost more than a day at the track but boy was it good. Don't know when I'll get back to the track as nothing for sure till Bristol. Shame Pollards car got tore up at Vegas by an idiot driving like a nut in the pits, plus broke his leg. Been racing with him around here for a long time.

Mornin Y'all,

Yeah Fern that was a sad affair. A Team Mexico tow vehicle I heard.

Easter wouldn't be the same with out one of my big steaks. 3" thick 3 1/2 lb choice rib eye.

Fern,

I do appreciate a good steak. I guess once and carnivore always a carnivore.

I like to think I'm supporting all the vegans by keeping some of the animals from taking their food. Laughing Hard
