Howdy all. We finally had a beautiful, sunny, warm, dry weekend. Keystone was able to open finally, test and tune Saturday. I lent a hand for the day. I have to put my patched header back on and change the oil to be ready for this Saturday's points day. The great weekend got tempered quickly... one of my friends, give you the shirt off his back kind of guy, passed away late last night at only 50. He helped a ton of racers out, whether it was parts, tools, or using one of his cars. Further proof life is too short.

Mornin y'all,

Can't let this slide off the front page.

I have maybe a stupid question. The Hay Hauler hasn't been started in almost 2 years. Shoule we pull all the plugs and squirt some miracle oil or some lubricant into the cylinders? We are going to move it over to Marty's new shop where the engine will be pulled and the freshen up and the turbos will finally be installed.
Time for a revival for the old girl.

Y'all have a gooden!

Prime the motor first for a while. Little Marvel oil in the cylinders before you crank it or the new Foggit spray. Works really well BTW! Crank it with no plugs then fire it. Very possible to have rust in the cylinders if humidity is high.

This is So Cal. No humidity here. The plugs haven't been pulled. I have a separate start button for adjusting the valve that doesn't go thru the ignition. Oil is Lucas 20-50 Synthetic with about 10 passes on it. Got some of that Stabil in the tank but I will add fresh fuel.

As they say in the ads, ran when parked.

Thanks, Barry.

Thanks all.. then found out another long time racer and engine builder, Tom Hemphill, passed away, super unexpected, heart attack, and he seemed to be in good shape to me, 66 I think.

I got my heap maintenanced and out for our first points day last Saturday. Drove decent for a round 1 win in Modified, then couldn't keep it green in Top or round 2 Mod.

Floyd, good luck on the Hay Hauler. I'd fog it for sure, pull the plugs, before bumping it over.

Nick, you doing ok out there?

Fern, been out lately?

Good afternoon guys ! Great evening of racing, third round loser but had a great time with all my friends. Weather was pretty good when I got there at 4:30 it was only 90 degrees as the sun set it cooled off nicely. The car was awesome within .005 in three hits. Third round slept through it my competition was dialed .05 faster than me and had a .010 light. I knew I was in trouble as I saw him leave with me yikes!

Have a great Mother’s Day!

It wasn't a case of giving in it's just I'm a bigger person and don't need all the negative bs. I appreciate all the friends I have on this site.

So, how about that 80-1 longshot that just won the Derby?

Shame I was not there as I would have been on that horse as his record although small showed he ran better on a long track and had won on that track.
