RED just trying Street and Pro on Sunday at Maple Grove. First time I've raced in competition in about two years with a car that has a completely different setup than previously. It will be interesting to say the least.

Mornin' all! Had a day off yesterday, good check up at the doc's, lunch afterwards with my buddy, good to catch up. Pens close out the Caps Tuesday night, Bucs win last night, now if only the weather would cooperate.

1258, yes, I'm very surprised by the Phillies, I hope they take some games from the Mets and Nats. I like seeing young talent, especially home grown. Wearing your brown pants Sunday? Big Grin

Fern, Mike has a funny story on FB, and I posted on there it would go good here in the GM thread, the crew is wondering where and how you are. Hopefully he sticks his head in. I'll PM you my number. Send me a pic or 2 of the GTO.

You all have a great day!

Mornin' all! TGIF! Bucs this afternoon on the radio here at the LMFD, Pens tonight during test and tune, if we get it in.

Fern, got the pic, just need to upload it and post it here, along with J's that I've been meaning to do.

1258, good luck, have fun, and be safe at MG.

Ice cream time! Ice Cream

You all have an awesome weekend!

Morning All !! Yep lucky Friday the 13th is here....Hope you all here having a great week, I'm still trying to great done with this weeks work load. You ever feel like know matter what you do the people around you syth in your wheat's.... LOL On a more positive note weather in the mighty AZ was been 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the average, We still need some rain we are about 75% behind. I think I have a team race this weekend locally , but I'll have to really push to finish getting the car ready. Last weekend did front brakes, made brackets for new rear fiberglass bumper, also adding second battery in trunk.... This season has been bad as far as points in team events, way to much working on the car and not in the seat.... Rolling I'm stupid

Chuck, Lots of baseball happening.... hope you keep your eye on the ball...LOL

1258, Have the best of lucky Sunday... Doubling up is the best ... I myself hate waiting on the call when I'm running one class. Two classes keep's me in the moment, and still have time to see all my race buddy's ....

Well, everyone have great weekend... work is meaningless if you don't enjoy the time off... Ice Cream

Mornin' all! Crazy weekend of weather here. Track was open for test and tune Friday night, all dry, 60, high 50s when we were done at 11:30. Saturday morning, rain, got clear for a minute in the afternoon, Saturday night, rain, Sunday, cloudy, rain, sun, rain, little sleet, sun, rain, and even some snowflakes mixed in. It looks better this week, at least warmer. Strange having the furnace go on in mid May.

J, lots of baseball. Hard series with the Cubs, the Pirates pitching ticked me off not throwing chin music on Saturday after Arrietta hit Kang. I would have liked to have seen Cole get the shot at the shutout yesterday, but at least they won. Better than what happened in the Rangers-Blue Jays game.

Floyd, that's awesome, great pics!

Fern, glad you got to get out and have some fun.

You all have a great day!

Morning all. Still getting crappy weather out this way. Sunday was not a good day. Just couldn't find my spot on the tree with this car. Was two years since the last time I was out with it and it was running 15 seconds then. We ran 1/8 mile since it was windy but the car was deadly, I just wasn't. My dad is thinking about trying to take the trans out to get rebuilt and have the converter looked at since TSI is only a 30 minute drive from us. Might be a good month or two before I'm back out again.

Mornin' all! Good night for the Pirates and Pens last night. I'm hoping the forecast changes for Saturday, pretty fugly right now. I hope the Bristol forecast works out for my friends there this week.

1258, is the trans working good, or giving you a problem? If the car is consistent, and you're not hurting parts, work on you as the driver. Practice tree, seat time, whatever you need to keep your focus. Don't be afraid to deep stage. We've all been there, where we let the car down.

Fern, I forgot to say that pic came from J. Hopefully I'll get my act together tonight and post your GTO and J's pics on here.

You all have a great day!

Chuck and J that pic was taken in 1959. Notice the 59 Chev hood to the left of the gasser. Also if you look back behind the gasser you will see what very well may be my white 59 Impala Convert. That was a LONG time ago. I was 18 years old (if my math is right)I have pics of that car here Double Thumbs up

Fern, the owner of that photo said it thought it was taken in 1958 when he was 21. That was one of his first race cars. The second I believe was his 40 Willys which was car retired after many year's of racing and restore to a street rod which he still owns today....Yep that was a long ,long time ago... I saw that photo in his office on Monday and thought of you....

Mornin' all! Over center day! Hoping the forecast changes, not looking good for racing Saturday. I heard on the news this morning, we've had at least some rain 16 of the 18 days this month so far. I wish we could send this west.

Pics of the Willys? Now and then, both good.... that is my ultimate car. Would LOVE to have one someday. There are a couple that come for bracket finals, Kevin Little's from BSD, and one from I think Sky View. Awesome rides.

You all have a great day!

Morning folks. Nothing going on here really. Just ready for some vacation time.

Chuck, my dad wants to pull it since we still can't pinpoint this one noise that happens when the car is in drive and only happens around the 2k-3k rpm range. Also this car was drive to the track at 55mph @ 2750 rpms. It was kind of screaming which it won't last long if that's the case.

J just sayin--the 2 car I mentioned that are in the Pic are 59s---and if that is in fact my conv in the back ground I got it in Dec of 58 and in Tucson the track may have been open.

Mornin' all! The Pens did well last night, and looked really good in the W. The bats for the Pirates turned into toothpicks against the Braves. Hopefully that changes tonight in the series finale.

1258, I drove the Cutlass to and from the track for years, 3000 rpm = about 55mph. Even drove it to Norwalk and back for one bracket finals. That sucked, not having a radio!

J, I got the Willys pic, cool!!

J I thought it was pretty cool.....I sent Chuck a couple taken out there around summer of 1960. The one has a 55, a 58, and my 59 in it. Also sent him a pic of my 59 El Camino that I raced. Never thought I would see a pic from DM----ask him if he was there the day Ricky Nelsons car caught fire (yes THAT Ricky Nelson)
