Thanks Ken,actually it wasn't that short. Chewy would have been 14 next month. I was just hoping for a lot more time with him. It's just that it's been him and me since my Diane passed away 11 yrs ago and I depended on him being here keeping me on the straight and narrow. Sometimes we forget about the mortallity of others but as we all have seen over the last few years as we get older we lose loved ones and friends at a more frequent rate. Nobody ever said life was fair.
You take care of yourself and take those treatments.

Mornin' all! Happy birthday to my oldest brother, Bill.

I hope you're hanging in there, Floyd.

Susie, I hope finals went well for you and Mark. I didn't get a chance to check out the results.

WAO, good to see you stopping by.

Hi Mike! Wave Maybe Mannie needs to play for the Steelers. They need some help.

Nicole, vacations are a good thing! I hope your week goes quickly. Cards-Phils this afternoon!

Ken, hope you're feeling well, and continue to beat that thing down.

Michelle, Christine, hug

You all have a great day!

Well, I am getting convinced that I am offically "over the hill". I use to get a lot of junk mail about "Asian Singles" want to meet me, "Latino Singles" want to meet me, "BBW Singles" want to meet me (what ever that is), Even "Gay Singles" want to meet me. I haven't received any of those for weeks now, but now, I am getting offers for really cheap Viagra, Cialis, and other such items of enhancement. Maybe they know something that I just refuse to aknowledge.

Then on the chemo front, I am off the juice for awhile. Seems I have some "issues" maybe caused by the chemo that is causing some problems. Doctor can find only 5 other recorded cases of such nonsense, but he is still looking and trying to figure out what to do about it. He had a real long hard to pronounce name for it, but I forgot.

They took me right from the chemo clinic down to the MRI table. Didn't wait 5 minutes before they started. Doctor should be calling me today with the news. They told me it isn't too serious yet, but they need to stop it now before permanent damage is done and I wind up in a wheel chair. I don't have the money to rebuild the race car for something like that. Now, our schedule is all screwed up. We were all packed up and had reservations for our trip to Georgia and Tennessee. Won't get to watch our Grandson play in the All-Star Game. AND, I have to carry my phone with me until the Doctor calls. I need a Margarita.

But, I am still Good looking, Lovable, Sexy, hoppfully Rich (Peg's words) and humble (my word), so I have a lot to be thankful for. Not quite ready to give up yet, but the rose colored glasses are starting to lose some of their color.

hang in there Ken, kinda puts the problems with trying to get Madi a locker close to her classrooms that isn't a bottom 1/2 size locker that she can't reach with the cast and them letting her leave the class early to get to the next one but then realizing there is no one in the hall to help carry her books, etc into perspective this morning...I admire you and your outlook, keep fighting those glasses aren't losing their color just had a little smudge on them, let us clean it off for you....praying hard.

too funny about the Steelers Chuck, go Mannie!! lol Cowboys let me down too...taters Mike? we love taters! lol

Floyd, I know you are seeing a lot of empty spots around right now and I'm so sorry you are feeling what you are, it's the hardest thing. If you were my Dad & I do think of you that way, I would say, I know it's hard to even think about right now but I really want you to consider a distraction, adding another 4 legged family member will help, not replace by any means, but help you to get through the emptiness. I struggled when we lost Timmy & was miserable for several weeks, so as you guys know we went out the next day after losing Bowtie, and brought home Chevy-who has been a Godsend..I still cry about Bowtie, but Chevy kept me busy enough to ease that pain..sending our love & thoughts hug and to the rest of our morning gang as well...hope you all smile a bunch (even if it's remembering good memories) today...

Yeah, Ken, you hang in there. A good racing buddy of mine went through the same stuff 2 years ago and he's doing great now. Still ugly but doing great. You can do it too.

Michelle, thanks honey, I know you are right but I've got to get some grieving done first. Remember it's not my first loss of a loved one? I'll be okay. I'm not wallowing in self pity. I'm just talking with good friends all over the country. It helps bunches. Praying Angel hug crying

Mornin' all! Over center day! I was thinking of Guy last night, as I watched the Diamondbacks win, thinking he would have been happy to see that.

Afternoon everyone.
Really, really bummed right now. We got the official word last night that my home track at Tulsa Raceway Park will closing at the end of this month. I've been racing there for 20 years. Not sure where i'll race at now, but instead of a 25 minute drive, it'll be a 2 hour drive to either of the 2 tracks that i can race at.
Y'all have a good one.
See ya.

Mornin' all! I think Guy would really be excited with the Diamondbacks tying the series against the Brewers. I know Nicole is excited about the Cardinals tying the Phillies! Big Grin

Mouse, I saw that about Tulsa. That absolutely stinks, more than Mike's taters. That puts a hurting on the budget and time, having the extra miles to tow. Amy chance it will remain a race track?

Good stuff... I was off yesterday, so I was able to visit with Brianna and AJ, and meet Addison Christine. She showed up a little early, which is probably a good thing for Brianna, because Addison came in at 7lbs. They're all doing great, and both Brianna's and AJ's parents are proud grandparents, as is AJ's sister Shelly a proud aunt. They're all friends of mine, and it was great to be part of a happy day.

I bet she is. They are very good dogs.
That's a long ways to go to get a dog. I'm guessing he's going to hunt with her?
