Good afternoon my great "racing" family.

First, my sister is doing okay. She is following up with her docs and has an appointment this Friday with GYN for the cyst and schedule surgery.

Now, these last few months have been months that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Towards the end of June, I noticed that Mark just didn't have the wind, piss & excitement he always had. He complained of groin pain like he did at the beginning of the year. He went to the doc, which we love, Dr. Muna (more that just our doc), she checked for a hernia and felt nothing. So the pain came and went and he attributed to lifting, pulling etc...
A couple of weeks before the bracket finals, he was really getting exhausted and felt like he was getting p-amonia. Which the week of the BF he was on anitbiotics, two rounds. Didn't think anything of it!
Since that time Mark has had pain, low grade fever that comes and goes. We went back to Muna, she ordered hip x-ray, which showed nothing. MRI, which showed a "mass" in the right groin area measures 11.5cm & oddly shaped. She called asap and off to the surgeon Dr. Payha. He ordered a CT scan to see more clearly. After he looked at the scan, he was very honest with us and said that he would not touch it, but wanted a biospy. However, he wanted to do it safely and after talking to his partner and the radiologist it was agreed that we needed to see a specialists. How about that for honesty.
So on 11/4 we are headed to Pittsburgh to meet with Dr. Goodman and Dr. McGough who are the finest in this area for soft tissue tumors and they both are oncologists.
Those nasty words where used and a new nasty word has been brought into the picture! And you all know me, the cup is 1/2 full. And I'm trying really hard not to let my mind wonder and keeping Mark's spirits up! In fact, he said I am over mothering him, well that's my job and I do it well. Tears are falling as I type, but I thank our Lord each and everyday for our family, our four sons, Jerry, Joey, Luke, Markie and Sonya. Our dear friends! Especially, Bob, Karen, Ashley, Kelly, Jacob, Chuck, Greg, Dave and all! Bob and Karen both have been so supportive, caring and loving considering everything that they are going through. We gain our strength from them.
No matter what happens, or what diagnosis it is, Mark will be taken care of, protected and cherished.

You've got all of us behind you, Christine, Even a couple of us old perverts out here on the left coast. Hang in ther, nothin bit green lites!

Ma, I know that Mark ain't near my age so I know he's gotta have a lotta lives left in him! Heck, Ive used up three or four already figurin' if a cat has 9, I oughta have double that! Mark should too! Tell him I told God to look after him cause he's gotta be "good people" seein' he's a racer! Like Floyd said, the "West Coast Codgers" are pullin' for you guys! Don't be afraid to scream if it hurts!

Well, I can't sleep. Today was a good day for Mark, a bad day for me. I have to keep busy! So I am trying to catch up on everything on here.

Mouse, your new "home" looks just wonderful! Fill it with lots of love. So happy to hear that you and your ever-loving are doing well. Just keep holding on! It will work out! Trust in the Lord and each other!

Guy & Floyd, I'm kinda growing attached to the west coast perverts! And thanks so much for the kind words! Both of you always make me smile! I always look forward to reading your posts to see what kind of trouble the both of you get into! Just stay away from the ladies of the night, they might bite you!! But knowing you two, that would be a thrill!! LOL

Mike, so glad to hear that your a bit chipper and Mannie is doing well. How is your Mom? And, Hope, she feeling better? Mark and I sure could use a prayer from you! We are praying that it a begnine tumor and surgery even though it might be complicated will take care of it!

Nicole, thanks for all that you do. I won't be making the trip to Nashville, but maybe you can meet my sister! She is the complete opposite of me! Lorraine is really shy! Honest!

Michelle, you did your best! So proud of you! You make sure you hugs the kids for me! And your hansome husband. I have to make more gobs and send them to you all! Miss you! Thank you! Well, I better get some sleep! Have to gather up all the tests, films, and medical records tomorrow so we are prepared for Wednesday. Mark and I agreed that we will do what ever we need to do. We just need to know and hopefully we will get answers and go from there! But, I am putting all my money on a begnine tumor! Staying positive and one day at a time! I love you guys! I will keep you informed or I will have Chuck update for me.

I'm buying ice-cream! It always makes you smile!

Christine, I know it's about impossible, but my mom always told us growing up "sufficient are the worries of today." I hope you can keep busy and keep it out of mind as much as possible. I can bet Mark thinks you're over-mothering him. I'm betting he's right! But that's why you are who you are. We missed you last night, and we did go get ice cream at King's too.

I'm bettin' Mark "backfired"! He may be the first man to ever become pregnant all by himself! Tell them to check and see if that thing has a heartbeat! Gotta make him smile some way! Helpin' grandaughter get her new HP laptop set up so she take classes on line for the rest of this year! Freakin' A, it's Friday.
Chuck, let me just say that the engineer who came up with that idea, should have his privates set on fire. That is just a piss ignorant design. Just imagine trying to drop a 36 gallon tank that is 3/4 full, and not dropping it on top of you. I'll never do it again. The only good thing to come out of it, was that i got my truck running again, so all is well now.

I had to go pick the kids up at school yesterday, nurse called with both of them in the office. Flu tests were negative, gave Adiayn antibiotic for sinus. Every year this time he will usually once or twice wake up wheezing and can't breathe good, it's scary but I get a dose of prednisone for him & Rick takes him out & rocks him on the front porch in the cool air. But as I lay with him afterwards last night, my heart just broke for Karen & all of those Moms who lay with their children not knowing if they will be better in the morning. Ma B, my heart goes out to you & Mark also, I can't imagine what you are both feeling. A couple of things happened at the track this weekend with my 'friends', and its like I finally told one of them...I have a lot of fairweather friends, a handful of true friends and I have one person that's always there for me, that I can trust completely & he's beside me 24/7. Sometimes we take things forgranted then thru our or our friends' trials, we get the chance to stop and smell the roses...appreciate what we have, our own inner circles, and not worry about the rest...we can't change some things/people & it's just not gonna matter tomorrow anyway. Live, love life, and keep those around you that matter.
