I just watched Fox show a clip of Biden spouting how Covid could cause long term disability and his administration would be looking to help those with these disabilities !!

How about my own situation
Knocked out of work since November
My state has a 6 month disability program for anyone working and their company pays into this program. I am eligible and have filed everything they ask for

After 2 months of mostly ZERO response from this dept of the state I have basically gotten nowhere. Phone calls, emails, fax info, certified mail info. Request to speak to a supervisor all go unanswered. Nothing !

I’m learning unemployment is just as bad for some people.

A good friend had surgery in November and is also out of work with the same response to his claim as I have had.

Relying on your Govt for help is a joke

Pay taxes, work your entire life with zero assistance from any govt agency and rely on yourself because they will stonewall you or worse.

Tomorrow I spend time calling my state representatives looking for some help or advice or who to call

Biden’s BS triggered me....Govt s-u-c-k-s. NEW JERSEY, Democrat’s in control ! Murphy another promise maker that mostly is full of chit. Wouldn’t matter who was in charge. Total incompetence and I’m sure their using Covid as the excuse for endless delays of processing legit claims for assistance.

Never expect help from these BS artists !

Good thing I can get by just fine without their help but it’s ridiculous to have to deal with such incompetence !

I will say that every one of the people I personally know who have either died from Covid or had a close call in the hospital, were fellow Republicans. It breaks my heart to lose these friends. But it also is clear that in the big picture, this helps the left alter the population landscape politically.

When I hear people talk about the vaccines as "drinking the Koolaid", all I can think is....which flavor are you talking about? And who is really drinking it?

I can say that since June of 2021 in the ICU my wife runs, she said they have only had one single death of a person who was vaccinated. I know that is a small sample size but it is still telling I believe.

On another note they are feeling defeated again to the point that if someone goes on a vent the nurses will still do everything in their power to help but they really don't expect the person to make it off of it. It's really a sad situation. They just just don't have a really good answer for helping Covid patients. Plus they have been seeing younger people coming in.

You might want to consider that blacks and young people also shown reluctance to get vaccinated and they don't tend to be Republicans.

Family here from Denver. Nephew; Its not real , nobody is sick. He has brainwashed his 16 year old son telling him it is not real. They wanted to come to our place and visit. I told them- nope. Until you gain some common sense- stay in Denver!

Yes they do and I see the data is showing the shots are helping those effected. By that I mean not requiring hospitalization.

Latest Covid is much more highly transmissible

I learned today multiple guys at my work place and some of their family members now have it, or have had it in the last month.

For 2 years previous only a couple guys or family members had it or tested positive.

I’m not sure about who or how many were vaccinated

Nobody real sick but one told me today he’s been out over a week and it was a rough week. He’s early 50’s and in good shape.

Most guys are younger and healthy

I’ve put off getting boosted but am gonna schedule myself to get it next week.

My daughter is in Logistics. 14 drivers off with covid.
Son’s workplace hit hard. He tested today , negative. We’ll see…

Agreed, and a bs way to present data for sure. But I have no doubt that deaths would have been greater along with hospitalizations without a vaccine. Of the one doctor I know and several hospital nurses, the common thread is that those that end up staying at the hospital locally are almost exclusively non vaccinated. And with only one exception at our local hospital, all the deaths in recent months were those not vaccinated.
The left made this all political, and soured a lot of republican voters on the vaccines....myself included. And you can be damn sure that they are thrilled to see the death rates higher in lower vaccinated areas both in inner cities and in mostly republican counties.

We are way past the debate of getting a vaccination in this thread.

By now,everyone has either decided to get it or not for the most part.Or they were mandated or faced losing their job.

Now,it's all about boosters.

And I,for one,think there has to be a point where endless boosters will clearly do more harm than good for the "average" person.

I do know that there are a tremendous amount of people sick where I work right now,and quite a few of them were bragging that they got their boosters only a few months ago.

But I guess it could turn into a "daily booster" at some point down the road.

Well they went and redefined vaccination. And even websters redefined what anti vax is. It's a weird world.

So Biden says the pandemic is all about the non-vacinated. I got all 3 and feel fine. I was talking to my 79 year old cousin the other day and asked him if he got Pzifer or Moderna. I about fell off my chair when he replied neither and said he won't get Vaccinated. I asked why, he said when he was 26 years old he had a kidney removed. Being 50 years ago I forget all about that. He looked into side effects of all 3 vaccines and found they all could have effects on the kidneys and heart. He simply didn't want to take a chance on living the rest of his life doing dialysis. I DONT BLAME HIM FOR NOT GETTING THE SHOTS! Of course Biden doesn't give a shyt about the folks who have a GREAT reason for not getting Vaccinated. Now if Biden or Dr. Pepper Jill had only one kidney do you think they would get Vaccinated?
