J&J, one and done for me 2 months ago. I had some hesitancy, but my parents are in their 80s. I couldn't live with myself if I would be an asymptomatic carrier and gave it to them. I lost one uncle, my good friend lost his aunt, and my friends lost their dad from the virus.

Lasting immunity found after recovery from COVID-19
"The immune systems of more than 95% of people who recovered from COVID-19 had durable memories of the virus up to eight months after infection."

Cleveland Clinic study
"Conclusions: Individuals who have had SARS-CoV-2 infection are unlikely to benefit from COVID-19 vaccination, and vaccines can be safely prioritized to those who have not been infected before." https://www.medrxiv.org/conten...021.06.01.21258176v2

WHO Report May 10, 2021
COVID-19 natural immunity
• Within 4 weeks following infection, 90-99% of individuals infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus develop detectable neutralizing antibodies.
• The strength and duration of the immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 are not completely understood and currently available data suggests that it varies by age and the severity of symptoms. Available scientific data suggests that in most people immune responses remain robust and protective against reinfection for at least 6-8 months after infection (the longest follow up with strong scientific evidence is currently approximately 8 months).

So I guess 153 Houston hospital workers have drawn a line in the sand. It's funny the difference in headlines of NPR and FOX. LOL

Just curious, has anybody that got the vaccine shots got the Corona virus?

I heard yesterday, 4,000 fully vaccinated tested positive in Massachusetts. I haven't had time to verify yet though.

That was easy to research

Did they experience the same results as non-vacinated people?

Well my question Mike is "did they experience the same results as non-vacinated people"?

Your first question was answered. You didn't like the answer, so you changed the question.

Look. I'm not anti vax anything. Vaccines have been hugely successful around the world in making it safer to be human. I think a lot of people have reservations about this one, including me. I think a good bit of skepticism is a good thing. And people should be able to make their own health choices. There is a nation wide obsession with "beating this thing". What does that even mean. A few hundred Chinese likely infected out entire nation. Explain to me exactly how we beat this thing. Herd immunity is for real. But it doesn't likely eradicate this infection for our country, let along the world. This isn't about protecting grandma anymore. Grandma can and should be vaccinated right? Why are we vaccinating healthy, not at risk groups now? Why the insistence on anyone being vaccinated? Who are they a danger to? Only other unvaccinated people right. Personal choices.

I probably shouldn't get in this BUT. I don't know how it is now but when I was a child starting to school we had to have several shots or we couldn't go. I still have a dime sized scar on my shoulder from one of the vaccinations..These shots stopped many diseases in their tracks. Get the da-m shot.

I don't know what Mike was referring to since I have him blocked. It makes no difference to me as far as my thoughts on freedoms.

But I do have a question: Since it won't go away, and for protection, it pretty much means vaccinations indefinately.....why should anyone care what anyone else does? Protect yourself with the vaccine if you so choose, and let others make their choice. What's wrong with that approach?

Our field service engineer in Mississippi got covid after he got the shot. He caught it from his kid and then gave it to another field service guy he was working with. The symptoms were very mild but lost his sense of taste and smell and was back to work in 2 weeks.

They claim the vax is about 95% effective, well out of 1 million people 50K will still get Covid by those numbers I guess

That's pretty much the same as most of the cases at our plant.
