I really hate it for Iowa getting hit by that tornado. They just aren't used to them like we are and lots of people got hurt.

Hope everyone from DRR is doing well. Y'all have a great day.

Wow! Crazy weather.
As a kid (7-8) in Ohio I remember a tornado at or place, sheltered in basement. I’ll never forget the roar and ears popping! The barn was gone next morning! So was the back half of the town.

Yeah tornados are pretty wild. We are up to 100 and 2 of them have been EF-4. In 2019 we had 149 but they didn’t hit as many towns as these have.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Stopping by the paint shop today to remove the throttle body/ECU. They need to move some of the front-end brackets & re-weld them.

I've been debating on changing the color on the car, but might go with a slightly deeper red. The car had GM victory red paint before, thinking about going to quarter mile red. The hood is going to get painted the same as the body color & I might have it wrapped at a later time.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Went to Dr for follow up after 6 weeks and he says I am doing great but lack of sleep, swelling, and pain could last a year or more. When he did the last one I was at the beach in about 8 weeks. He also said I was doing to much excercise. Still planning to be at Bristol for WFC. Everyone stay safe. Where is Floyd?

Good evening kids... Still nothing new here. Mostly my own fault, as I haven't emailed Jerico with the info they'll need for the new input shaft. Just need to take a few measurements and send to them. I get home from 10-12 hours working, and all I want to do is shower, eat and sleep. Will get it done soon enough. Tranny is still sitting on dining room floor, so I need to do it soon, or wife may become a bit less tolerant of it. LOL. Trying to make time to work on my dually again as well. $3,600 rebuilt tranny, and daggum thing still refuses to cooperate. I seem to be in tranny hell right now.

Fern, glad to hear your recovery is going well. I don't remember how old you said you are, but I recently saw a FB post about a class racer with NHRA who's 85 and still going strong. Old dudes rule...

B King, how's paint shop going with your hotrod? I've always had trouble enjoying my cars when they're nice-n-purty. seems that someone always happens to mess them up for me. anything from a scratch/dent to getting totaled in a wreck. Been pretty happy with mine being multi colored, with a side of rust. No one wants to touch em, without a tetanus shot. LOL

Y'all have a great weekend.

Keep doing what you are doing Fern, good on you!

BTR.

The car has been in the shop a little over a month. They gave me a two-month wag on the project, I think we can add a month. I forgot to take pics the last time I was there, going to be there this Wed.; Hopefully I'll remember this time!

Hope all is well with everyone!

I will be ready. Sure not many people posting on here anymore. We might need Ed back! I sure hope some of you are going racing and it keeps you from posting here. Fern,

SL doesn't seem to be complaining about the posting on DRR. I for one think the quality of topics/posts have immensely improved. Wink That being said, it's too quiet without Ed & Mike!

Ed is a forbidden name on here according to some & they go into shake factor at the mere mention of his name. Rest assured, he's here lurking like the Loser Bi..tch he's!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Fern,
I'm still here just not too much to talk about these days.
I'm sure Ed finally realised no body wanted him around and he moved on. If you believe that I'm going to sell you a share of my bridge.

Glad you are here Floyd. Vetman my timing for the knee is close, maybe late, but it’s going to be close for Bristol. Something got left in motor home frig last trip and made a mess—-todays project. Got my race gas yesterday, $9.99 a gallon. Car is on the trailer in the garage and looks ready to go. I’ll check batteries etc today. Got A/C in there and it’s hot here. So everyone stay safe and cool. Later

Speaking about Ed......I realize a few of you have had issues with Ed, I never did. In fact he helped me a few years ago with finding accommodations in the City while my wife and I were waiting for a flight to Italy. The guy went out of his way to help and I was thankful.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Fern,

Look what you started!

Curly,

Ed is not coming back, not in the open anyway!

Although some wouldn't mind if he did, maybe Fern was one of his supporter's. RPROGAS/Bob doesn't seem to have an issue; "Speaking about Ed......I realize a few of you have had issues with Ed, I never did." I'm sure there are others that feel the same way!

Saying the name "Beetlejuice" three times is the key to summoning him. If his supporter's want him summoned, so be it! It's there right to talk about Ed if they wish!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Well, stopped at the shop to check out the car. Still haven't figured out the new paint color yet. We did put one of them spectrometer gadgets on the old paint. The color match in the book was an exiting "brown red" paint. Not the exiting color of GM Victory Red it was supposed to be painted almost 30 years ago.

Anyway, I liked the old color & they are going to mix up a small batch and spray a sample for me to look at.

They are hoping to have the car in for paint around July 15th, but I'm not holding my breath.

BKing I like red. I had my car repainted a couple of years back brightest red in the world. $500 at Maaco in one day and home the next. Looks pretty good from 20 feet.

Talk about luck--yesterday evening I decided to wash my motorhome. Did the front, the back, and passenger side. Went to the drivers side and as soon as I sprayed water on it the escape window in the bedroom shattered. On closer inspection it is only the outer pane as its a double pane. Guess I'll drive it as is to Bristol Wend for the WFC race. Maybe see some of you there. Stay safe and cool
