I hope it's a little drier and warmer today. My grand nephew is marching in the lead band tomorrow at the Rose Parade and I'd hate to see it rain on his parade.
I'm ready to get this year behind me and get on to a better one. I'm already taking a cut in SSA take home so I goota find me something to make up the difference. Kinda getting tired of the truck stop. You know, just being treated as a body.

Mornin' all! Happy New Year's Eve! I'll be waving goodbye to 2009 with 2 fingers. I am welcoming the new beginnings of 2010. We're off to a good start, with AJ & Brianna's wedding, my sister and her husband expecting their third child, and another couple of friends just announced they're expecting also. I couldn't find a pic of Christine and me sharing a dance in the online stuff, but I think this one of Brianna and Ashley is so sweet.



Another cool one is this one from the track. I woke up this morning to 2 inches of wet snow, the kind that's great for making snowballs and snowmen. I really wish I had the day off so I could go battle with my brother and the kids. You all be safe out there. If you bend your elbow more than you should have, get a ride, get a cab, sleep over, but please don't drive.

Going, going, going and at the stroke of midnight it will be gone! Thank God! The worst year I can remember in recent history! It can't get worse, only better! Despite Obama, we will make it better! Despite Pilosi and Reid, we will make it better! Despite Floyd, we will make it better! Oooops, not sure about that last one, he's about as good as you can get I reckon! (If that's true, we are in for another rough year!) For a while in 2009 I thought I was goin' to have to go back to an old family tradition of cattle rustlin' to get by but looks like we made it without resorting to that! Hope the sun shines brighter for folks like Ma Brewer and all our DRR family. Will be great to hear laughter instead of seeing tears!
Let's all make 2010 more positive! See and smell you all next year! Think I will go take a nap and not get up til next year!

Damn internal clock woke me up even after I didn't get home til 1:30. Maybe I didn't drink enough. Can you believe I went to a party and they didn't have any scotch? Had too settle for some Jack.

I got to sleep about 2 a.m. which is about 5 hours later than usual. Wouldn't you know it, BANG, 4:30 I wake up just like every other morning.

Maybe I should have drank 2 bottles of Asti instead of just the one.

It was darker than h*ll where I was, best I can remember! Didn't hear anything, didn't see anything but I guess that is what you are supposed to do when you are asleep, huh? Goin' to daughter's house today to celebrate Christmas as they were gone to Wisconsin on Christmas day1 Will be good to see grandkids once again and daughter also! She's a sweetheart and does a lot of good as a teacher's assistant by taking care of kids with autism at a Peoria school. Parents over there really love the way she has helped their kids!
Hope the New Year treats you all with fairness and good will! I will be fine as long as the politicians stay outa my hair and am already looking forward to 2011 when I will turn 70!

Guy, you don't have enough hair for the politicians to get into. LOL!
