Spent? Allocated?

You're using symantics to split hairs.

I completely understand, and have for some time, that you don't think anyone should receive a dime. That has nothing to do with this conversation.

And the "physical" presence of the 4-fold deficit may not exist but it exist on paper... because that's the budget that was passed by Congress and signed by President Obama!

Please explain to us how anything President Obama and the Congress are doing is going to prevent it from becoming reality. Especially since the GAO has stated that the Obama Administration's projections are grossly overly optimistic.

I'm simply offering an opposing view because isn't semantics involved when everybody is talking about an overnight quadrupled deficit? Why is it semantics when I dissect the actual numbers but it is OK when everybody else speaks of a huge overnight deficit? Come on now, let's be fair.

Maybe it had nothing to do with the conversation, but it was relevant to point I was making.

I can't explain it and neither can you. Neither can anybody else. The stimulus money isn't just going anywhere, hence the term 'stimulus'. I don't like it, but the intentions are for it to stimulate the economy which in turn is supposed to offset the deficit created by the stimulus package (and hopefully beyond that). Projections are only estimated guesses. You can use all the computer simulations out there, you can talk to the supposed economic experts; the fact remains that they don't know either. If there was such a simple solution we wouldn't be in this mess.

The illegal alien said in a speech we had to adhere to our values and it would protect us from terrorism!
This caused me to look back at the rapists administration and all the illegal and scummy actions there, from Whitehouse aids being murdered and dumped in parks, to a jerk leafing through FBI files in the Whitehouse basement to the rapists BJ's that would heve resulted in an executive anywhere else being axed!!!!!!!!
No wonder the jihadist terrorists hit us about 10 times while all this was going on and had the 9/11 raids planned to a T!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then during the President Bush administration none of this perverse behavior went on and after the carry over rapists attack we were not attacked!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL THIS TIME I WAS NAIEVE ENOUGH TO THINK IT WAS OUR MILITARY EXPLOITS THAT PROTECTED US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Believe it or not the illegal alien may be onto something!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only one problem, we are back to unethical conduct again!!!!!!!!!!!

Pointing out the money has not been spent yet, so the budget deficit is not real is pointless. The money once earmarked, will be spent. Oversight and results should, but won't be monitored.

President Obama appears to forget what he was promising to get elected.

Muggs, say you got a 50¢/hr. raise. Do you go around telling people you're going to make $8,320 more in the next 8 years?

Yahoo Finance reported:

The dollar fell to a 2009 low on Friday as fears intensified that the United States could lose its triple-A rating, while renewed caution about the world economy and banks prompted Asian and European stocks to slip.

The dollar's latest decline started when ratings agency Standard & Poor's cut its ratings outlook on Britain to negative from stable, stoking fears other AAA-rated countries which are running huge debt levels could share a similar fate.

Moody's Investor Service said on Thursday it was comfortable with its triple-A sovereign rating on the United States but that it was not guaranteed forever.

Nope, I don't them nothing! They would want one too!

On the other hand, when I buy a new part for racecar I look at total cost, price, tax and shipping. If I buy a new car I look at total cost including interest not purchase price only.

When looking at a budget for business you need to account for interest on debt and a liabilty will effect net worth.

Looking at defecit in net effect terms is the correct way to do it. Otherwise the real impact is lost in a fuzzy smokescreen.

So you're telling me that you pay for your car parts over time? How is that related? Must be on one of those Summit payment plans. Either that or Muggs completely misunderstood the point. I know which one I'm going with. Roll Eyes Tongue

Sorry you must be speaking a Palm Beach County language.

I thought your point was focusing on what has been spent vs. budgeted impact. I was illustrating that once allocated/budgeted etc. it seems intelligent to think in terms of total cost impact. Not cost to date.

I don't buy anything especially car parts on time.... got a wonderfull pair of virtually new 29.5 X 10.5W slicks that only have cords showing on 2% of tread. even though they are only 2% junk they are now fully depreciated. censored

Not racing on a Saturday really bites, doesn't it? Mad

Nope, I was focusing on how much is planned on being spent, and how has been spent to date. People love to say how many more trillions were are in debt because of Obama when in fact only 6% of it has been spent. I know they'll still spend it, but if it does stimulate like it's supposed to (only time will tell) then that money spent will bring money back into the economy.

Yes, not racing does suck A LOT!! I know we need the rain, but this week has been awful. Got hit by lightning AGAIN this morning and took out a TV. Spent all day shopping for a TV, waiting on AT&T to come fix the blown out U-Verse and setting up the entertainment center. Finally quit a little while ago, but most is done, should be ready for some HD INDY, NASCAR and NHL playoffs tomorrow!

The porkeria was alledgedly a stimulus plan, by definition that means the money should have been distributed PRONTO to inject some boost into the economy, which has never worked by the way!
Just another $1,300,000,000,000.00 of debt added to future generations that was a total waste, no big deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Three more like her and you can kiss your guns, freedom and country goodbye. She is on record writing anti-gun opinions, specifically that state, counties and municipalities can ban gun ownership and they do not fall under the 2nd Amendment.

She was chosen for one reason and one reason only.....Hispanic votes.
