Fannie Mae owns patent on residential 'cap and trade' exchange When he wasn't busy helping create a $127 billion mess for taxpayers to clean up, former Fannie Mae Chief Executive Officer Franklin Raines, two of his top underlings and select individuals in the "green" movement were inventing a patented system to trade residential carbon credits. Patent No. 6904336 was approved by the U.S. Patent and Trade Office on Nov. 7, 2006 -- the day after Democrats took control of Congress. Former Sen. John Sununu, R-N.H., criticized the award at the time, pointing out that it had "nothing to do with Fannie Mae's charter, nothing to do with making mortgages more affordable." It wasn't about mortgages. It was about greenbacks. The patent, which Fannie Mae confirmed it still owns with Cantor Fitzgerald subsidiary CO2e.com, gives the mortgage giant a lock on the fledgling carbon trading market, thus also giving it a major financial stake in the success of cap-and-trade legislation. Fannie Mae will be laughing all the way to the (bailed-out) bank. 'ole al must not be too concerned about the 20 foot rise in sea levels he has been blathering about! How many mansions does he own now? This from the hypocrite that wants the "common man" to live in an 850 square foot shack with no air conditioning! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Bill Koski, TAKE IT TO THE BANK!!!!! Former Vice President Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, have added a Montecito-area property to their real estate holdings, reports the Montecito Journal. The couple spent $8,875,000 on an ocean-view villa on 1.5 acres with a swimming pool, spa and fountains, a real estate source familiar with the deal confirms. The Italian-style house has six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. http://www.latimes.com/feature...0428,0,4103538.story It’s perfectly understandable — when you’re full of that much shyt you need a lot of toilets — but a seaside mansion? Gore doesn’t seem too intimidated by the imminent rising oceans his fellow enviroscammers keep predicting. What a brave soul! | |||

Here is a couple links I stumbled across today, thought I should share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...Yk2o&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...eSlc&feature=related Any comments, on these links, or any of the numerous questions, regarding Sea Level Rise, or Glacier Melt, Polar Ice melt, I have posed to you and asked for your refutations, what say you, BS Billy? It's all a world wide conspiracy, and 98% of all scientists are in on it, they are all fudging the numbers, only you and Lord Monckton have peeked under the vail of secrecy, right BS Billy? http://www.spaceandscience.net/id16.html "We accurately announced beforehand, the end of global warming, a long term drop in the Earth’s temperatures and most importantly the advent of a historic drop in the Sun’s output, a solar hibernation. The US government’s leading science organizations, NASA and NOAA have completely missed all three, as of course have United Nations climate change experts." What do you "warmers" think about this? It is Bu11sh1t. No credentials in Climate Science, no peer reviewed papers, he is trying to make a buck anyway he can, selling consulting services to the moneyed and gullible. From about the beginning of January of 2008. http://www.realclimate.org/?comments_popup=519 #67 “SSRC: you have to be kidding me: http://spaceandscience.net/ looks impressive! until you realize that: John L. Casey looks like a one-man-band apparently pushing consulting services based on some climate theory he has. His address is 4700 Millenia Blvd #175 Orlando FL, and if you Google that, you will discover an amazing number of companies that seem to be located in that office suite. That’s because the suite in this impressive building isn’t even Casey’s own office, but is occupied by: Intelligent Office : http://www.intelligentoffice.com “Intelligent Office" locates your business in one of the best buildings in town. You’ll have a prestigious business address for your mail, your stationery and your advertising, as well as an impressive place to meet your clients. Your address with us will have your company’s name, not ours, and if you work from home, this is a great way to protect your privacy.” There is nothing obvious in Casey’s background to establish any particular expertise in climate science, no obvious presence in Google Scholar, and nothing before a recent press release. The info sounds like yet another “I’ve discovered cycles” thing, which happens all the time. Of course it could also be another “Carbon dioxide production by benthic bacteria..” scam, albeit on a much smaller scale (and if it is, I apologize in advance if that helps ruin somebody’s joke.) " http://groups.google.com/group...msg/f785755d74b41ec3 "His experience also includes being a former space shuttle engineer, military missile and computer systems officer, advanced rocketry and commercial space developer. He has an extensive executive management background in the start-up and financing of high technology companies. He has a BS degree in Physics and Mathematics and an MA degree in Management. I kind of think the Junk part of the link is true, science, aahhh not so much. Another Fuxs News faux reporter/journalist,runs the site, name of Steven Millory. "Steven J. Milloy is the "junk science" commentator for FoxNews.com and runs the Web site junkscience.com, which is dedicated to debunking what Milloy labels "faulty scientific data and analysis." He is a self-described libertarian, in the American sense of the term.[1] Among the topics Milloy has addressed are what he believes to be false claims regarding DDT, global warming, Alar, breast implants, secondhand smoke, ozone depletion, and mad cow disease.[2] Milloy also runs CSRWatch.com, which monitors and criticizes the corporate social responsibility movement. From the 1990s until the end of 2005, he was an adjunct scholar at the libertarian Cato Institute, which hosted the JunkScience.com site. He is currently an adjunct scholar at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Milloy is head of the Free Enterprise Action Fund, a mutual fund he runs with former tobacco executive Tom Borelli. He also operates the Advancement of Sound Science Center, a non-profit organization which is critical of environmental science, from his home in Potomac, Maryland. Milloy has authored four books. Milloy's close financial and organizational ties to tobacco and oil companies have been the subject of criticism from a number of sources, as Milloy has consistently criticized the science linking secondhand smoke to health risks and human activity to global warming." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Milloy Later Larry Sapere aude! Thor Thordarson is as far as I am concerned a very creditable scientist, with many peer reviewed articles on volcanology and with particular expertise with the Icelandic volcanoes. Decades of eruptions of sporadic nature may well be correct, but not continuously. Here is a citation indicating one of the largest known eruptions in relatively recent times lasted eight months. So yes I suppose we could see some amelioration in warming, but it remains to be seen if a long term reversal in temperature trends would ensue, after all we are not decreasing anthropogenic production of GHG. "The Laki (Skaftár Fires) fissure eruption in southern Iceland lasted for eight months during 1783 to 1784, and produced one of the largest basaltic lava flows in historic times (14.7±1.0 km3). In addition, neighboring Grímsvötn central volcano was frequently active during the period from May 1783 to May 1785. The combined activity is interpreted as having been the result of a two-year-long volcano-tectonic episode on the Grímsvötn volcanic system." http://www.springerlink.com/content/u4mn2012ut700747/ If you really feel like plowing through some deep stuff try this one. But it is a really good read, at least I think so. Atmospheric and environmental effects of the 1783–1784 Laki eruption: A review and reassessment.
