Funny how you beat the drum of what is being posted in the UK when stories mirror your pathetic reasoning, then on the other hand you find fault and complain about UK's health care covering all of its citizens. Are you a tool or a fool???? I think the latter defines you...... UK provides health care for all its citizens. If not, correct me.

Larry, have you been back up that way in the last few years? I got some pictures down by the waterfront last time I was up there and it's quite depressing.

No, we left there in 1958 or 1959, my parents were back once or twice in the late 60's, but I never have gone back. I suppose I have a load of family, on both sides, up that way, but we lost contact years and years ago. Some of the relatives use to come down some winters in the late 60's and early 70's, but after that I think there was some bad blood about us getting out. I guess dad figured the steel plant wasn't going to be lasting too much longer, and got out while the getting was good. Mackle Brothers were advertising hard up in the northeast back then and were selling land and homes down here cheap, dad got a good job with the Post Office lined up and we were gone. My Grandmother had sold her restraint business and retired a few years earlier and really liked it here, and kept telling my parents to come down as well. And yes, I have heard its real depressing up that way. I've Google mapped my way back to my first home, man what tiny clapboard nothing it looks like. My Grand Mothers house (mother's side)is right across the street, which as a kid seemed so huge and grand, now looks like a small sagging old dump. Kind of hurts just looking at the place. But its good we got out when we did, I'd hate to think about being trapped up there and having to have had to bring my kids up around there. Later Larry Sapere aude! Sure BS Billy, this stuff is from the same guy that says asbestos is harmless. Booker has also claimed that white asbestos is "chemically identical to talcum powder" and poses a "non-existent" risk to human health[3], stating that "HSE studies, including a paper by John Hodgson and Andrew Darnton in 2000, concluded that the risk from the substance is "virtually zero".[4] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Booker You must really work hard to find this stuff BS Billy. Oh, by the way, where is the beef, BS Billy. Later Larry Sapere aude! "Put some jam on the bottom shelf where the little man can reach it." "The Truth", it's just another liberal conspiracy!

Updated March 02, 2010 Al's Latest Global-Warming Whopper - NYPost.com Al Gore's defense of global-warming hysteria in Sunday's New York Times has many flaws, but I'll focus on just one whopper -- where the "Inconvenient Truth" man states the opposite of scientific fact. Top Climate Scientist Phil Jones Admits Sending 'Awful' E-Mails Al Gore's defense of global-warming hysteria in Sunday's New York Times has many flaws, but I'll focus on just one whopper -- where the "Inconvenient Truth" man states the opposite of scientific fact. Gore wrote, "The heavy snowfalls this month have been used as fodder for ridicule by those who argue that global warming is a myth, yet scientists have long pointed out that warmer global temperatures have been increasing the rate of evaporation from the oceans, putting significantly more moisture into the atmosphere -- thus causing heavier downfalls of both rain and snow in particular regions, including the Northeastern United States." It's an interesting theory, but where are the facts? According to "State of the Climate" from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, "Global precipitation in 2009 was near the 1961-1990 average." And there was certainly no pattern of increasing rain and snow on America's East Coast during the post-1976 years, when NOAA says the globe began to heat up. So what was it, exactly, that Gore's nameless scientists "have long pointed out"? A 2008 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, "Climate Change and Water," says climate models "project precipitation increases in high latitudes and part of the tropics." In other areas, the IPCC reports only "substantial uncertainty in precipitation forecasts."
