Gibbering dolts a pair, CV and Bucky! I have provided a refutation to this canard about volcanos spewing more CO2 than man, more than half a decade ago. Yet here you are spreading lies that just seem to get bigger and bigger as time goes by, now don’t they just. Dragracer Randy had it at more CO2 than man in 100 years for Mt. Saint Helens. Now it appears the Dolts deluxe have it at Mt. Etna erupting as more than all the CO2 in man’s history, even though the image appears to be about the equivalent of a flee **** in comparison to the Mt. Saint Helens eruption. So, once again here we have it, "According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the world’s volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, while our automotive and industrial activities cause some 24 billion tons of CO2 emissions every year worldwide. Despite the arguments to the contrary, the facts speak for themselves: Greenhouse gas emissions from volcanoes comprise less than one percent of those generated by today’s human endeavors." So that means that ALL the volcanoes on earth and under the sea, not just the flee **** image of Mt. Etna, produce slightly more than 8 tenths of one percent of what man’s activities do on a yearly basis. Man you guys really need to get a clue. Like I said before, Mt Saint Helens eruption put more pollution into the atmosphere than man has for the last 100 years. That's not to say man's pollution isn't detrimental to the ecological equation, just to put into light how much more mother nature has an effect than us! Here is just some of what I have found regarding CO2 and the Mt. St. Helens volcano in particular and volcanoes in general. Climate Change: The Greatest-Ever Conspiracy Against The Taxpayer Climate change is the biggest scam in the history of the world – a $1.5 trillion-a-year conspiracy against the taxpayer, every cent, penny and centime of which ends in the pockets of the wrong kind of people, none of which goes towards a cause remotely worth funding, all of it a complete and utter waste. Several factoids the HOAXERS would rather people not be aware of about renewable energy! The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System off of I-15 just south of the Nevada state line cast $2,200,000,000.00 with $1.600,000,000.00 in federal loan guarantees! This facility uses so much natural gas to function that it has to be regulated under the "fruits-an-nuts" state's cap-an-trade boondoggle! Now it's developed that the boondoggle is falling so far short of projected production numbers that the "fruits-an-nuts" state Public Utility Commission has had to consider shutting it down! Production in '14 was 45%, '15 a whopping 68% BUT the facility collected $200.00 per megawatt hour from PG&E compared to $35.00 per megawatt hour from natural gas fired plants! That's only a 700% increase the "fruits-an-nuts" staters will see in their power bills down the road!!!!! The fruits-an-nuts staters are used to being bent over and shafted so they'll take it laying down!!!! TAKE IT TO THE BANK!!!!! Later, Bill Koski | |||

Increased Land Use by Chukchi Sea Polar Bears in Relation to Changing Sea Ice Conditions Citation: Rode KD, Wilson RR, Regehr EV, St. Martin M, Douglas DC, Olson J (2015) Increased Land Use by Chukchi Sea Polar Bears in Relation to Changing Sea Ice Conditions. PLoS ONE 10(11): e0142213. doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0142213 Abstract Recent observations suggest that polar bears (Ursus maritimus) are increasingly using land habitats in some parts of their range, where they have minimal access to their preferred prey, likely in response to loss of their sea ice habitat associated with climatic warming. We used location data from female polar bears fit with satellite radio collars to compare land use patterns in the Chukchi Sea between two periods (1986–1995 and 2008–2013) when substantial summer sea-ice loss occurred. In both time periods, polar bears predominantly occupied sea-ice, although land was used during the summer sea-ice retreat and during the winter for maternal denning. However, the proportion of bears on land for > 7 days between August and October increased between the two periods from 20.0% to 38.9%, and the average duration on land increased by 30 days. The majority of bears that used land in the summer and for denning came to Wrangel and Herald Islands (Russia), highlighting the importance of these northernmost land habitats to Chukchi Sea polar bears. Where bears summered and denned, and how long they spent there, was related to the timing and duration of sea ice retreat. Our results are consistent with other studies supporting increased land use as a common response of polar bears to sea-ice loss. Implications of increased land use for Chukchi Sea polar bears are unclear, because a recent study observed no change in body condition or reproductive indices between the two periods considered here. This result suggests that the ecology of this region may provide a degree of resilience to sea ice loss. However, projections of continued sea ice loss suggest that polar bears in the Chukchi Sea and other parts of the Arctic may increasingly use land habitats in the future, which has the potential to increase nutritional stress and human-polar bear interactions. I have seen the Light! It really is a big HOAX! “Senator Inhofe is right about one thing: there has been a climate hoax that continues today. It is the decades’ long campaign by a handful of the world’s largest fossil fuel companies—such as Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and Peabody Energy—to deceive the American public by distorting the realities and risks of climate change, sometimes acting directly and sometimes acting indirectly through trade associations and front groups.” “The fundamentals of global warming have been well established for generations. The idea that heat-trapping emissions could alter our climate dates back to the late 1800s (Weart 2015). By the 1950s, scientists knew that climate change could present significant risks to people and places (Weart 2015; Craig 1957; Revelle and Seuss 1957)” But like most everything else most of the posse around here has it exactly ars backwards. Who could have guessed? http://www.ucsusa.org/sites/de...ception-Dossiers.pdf Later Larry Sapere aude! "Put some jam on the bottom shelf where the little man can reach it."
