Wouldn't believe if I didn't see racers be told that they would not split up the money for the small amount of racers left and they had to come back in 2 weeks to finish a race. A lot of out of town people that came for the big show who have commitments and cannot return. Guess I missed that rain out policy that says "run to completion" that has never been advertised or done at the track. At least it was a good profit for the track. Spectators that won't come back that paid to see jet cars and nostalgia funny cars, racers that are out entry fees that did not get as much as a rain pass back and the crew members that came in with them. Heck, one racer said he would not be back, call me a loser and pay me the round money. He was obviously told no. Guess someone had to pay for "the show" to tow in and sell t-shirts and wax their cars today.

Ive seen it all now! This wasnt even a points day! 3rd round complete. No split, no rain passes. Was told "If you can not return, Sorry about your bad luck"!!
Guess if they need my $40 that bad then can have it! Hope they spend it wisely. Its highly unlikely then will ever see another dollar from me!!!
Unbeliveable such a poor desion could be made.

A tough choice at the track today I think I would have ran the show at 5:00 and after that, run the rest of the program when the weather was nice. And when or if people came after the show was over let them in for free for making the trip and missing the show, that way if there was a rain out run the rest on Sunday to finish, other than the show.
I would love to own the track. Do you think if we got 10 people to throw in 125,000 a piece or have 125 poeple to throw in 10,000 or 250 people to throw in 5,000 to own, have a elected commity that way there is no debate on decisions, no bank note to pay. It would be owned like the green bay packers organization. Have points pay in $100.00 try to get 50 cars per class. The top 16 in the field run of for 4,000. 1 would race 16 and on down pay out 16 places. 1,000 dolar consolation race for each class winner for the title of track champion . The track would make its money on the weekly entrance fee knowing that racers have a nice prize to win and it is all paid for by the racers to the racers I am inThis message has been edited. Simple decision should have been made. 1. Split purse for racers. Stand at gate as cars exit. Spectating cars should have been refunded in full, crew members with racers should have not been refunded.
Question: Did the "show cars" get paid to just show up or actually perform. Since "show cars" didn't perform, no money paid out to them. That's the chance they take when they pull into any track. I don't get paid in my job unless I sell the product..why should they ! I lost in Round 2 but packed up and stayed for the show. Left at announcement....as I pulled past the "show" cars I saw alot of smiling people.

This track is a joke.12 cars left and you don't split the money..great call dan. Now even more racers won't go back because of the managements great decison but maybe he only wants 20 cars total everyweekend.

For once I sure was glad I got whacked 1st rd! None of this affected me. There was some issues with the Q16 also. I will approach those who put it on with those questions.
Next week is there Bottom Bulb race put on by Jeff Stewart and Slick Rick. Lets all sit here and see how that turns out. Should be some killer racing going on.

Now, now... don't put the cart in front of the horse. Its an apples to oranges comparison. Cars will show up because of the 2 promoters not because its at qcr. If the track did it, only about a 1/4 of the people would come. Throw in "The Decision" from this weekend and it would be a struggle to get any cars.
Notice the turnouts when its guaranteed money? The track obviously has not. People won't come unless its in writing and this weekend just helped support that thought process.

If the Bottom bulb race was being put on by anybody other than those 2 guys I would probably change my mind and not attend after the latest but I am going to support those guys and hope for a success. The simple solution would have been to split the money and reschedule the show with a new race on that day. That way the racers still in would have gotten their money and the spectators could come back for the show.

They(QCR) wonder why the car count is low. Wonder why they have way less track sponsors then ever. They wonder why people bad mouth them on the internet!
FYI... ITS NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR RACERS!!!!!

I was wondering how the traction has been out QCR? I have heard it's sub par and I will most likely have traction issues if I run there. I was planning on heading out for Stewart and Slick's race but now I'm a little worried that I might be wasting my time being that my car is very touchy when it comes to a well preped track. This is going to be an awesome race!

Yeah I am a bit baffled as to why they didn't split between the 12 in S/P, but I am happy that I am one of the 12. I can't recall the last time I drove home from the races in the dark!!!
............and I was able to negotiate my return for the continuation.....we had a reservation on the 28th for our 5 year anniversary dinner.....she's a keeper!!
