Great effort put forth by Greg and his team to get what usually would be an easy rain out in. Its nice to see things moving forward.

Great night Saturday at the Thinking of Nikki & Mark race. Thanks to Rich Penn for letting me abuse the Charger. Best of all, Karen and Bob sold out of all the event tshirts, and thanks to racers and fans, raised $4,953.00 for the Thinking of Nikki Foundation.

If you didn't get an event tshirt and want one, Karen will be placing an order Thursday. Check out the Thinking of Nikki Foundation on Facebook for details.

The sponsors at PRP are awesome! Thanks to Jones Race Trailers, Ionadi Auto Sales, The Lumber Store & More, and Mike's Auto Body, this Friday's Night At The Races is $1200 to win, $400 runner up, $150 to the semis.

For Saturday's Night of Fire, thanks to Mike's Auto Body, Top and Modified are each paying $1600 to win, Street is paying $850 to win, Motorcycle is paying $500 to win, plus $75 to the semis, Trophy is paying $100 to win, juniors are paying $100 to win, $50 to runner up. Plus, the 2 age group winners in juniors will run off during the NoF sessions for another $100 to win, $50 for second.

There will be 1 time trial session only on Night of Fire, so don't miss it. There WILL be reentry style buybacks, where first round losers run against each other, with the winners advancing to 2nd round. Reentry racers are eligible for round money.

Plus it should be a real good show! Love me some nitro at PRP!! Big Grin

I think that on a night like this Sat, it's a great idea to limit the TT's to only one. I wish they would do that at the GGG race. Those long nights of racing cuts into my beer drinking.

Definitely agree, Tony. As long as I can have 2 shots at the purse, I'm good with 1 TT.

Chuck do you got any torque converters I can try behind my 455? If you come to magnolia on sunday bring it with you if you do. I am going to drag the car out of hiding and mess with it the next couple weeks.

Clint, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it?

Long story. Short story, I am having multiple issues with my converter. All I have is a 12" stock replacement, 2000 stall. Not going to make Mags.

Sorry Chuck. I didn't know you had issues. I got a couple 9" converters you can try but doubt your motor would like them. I am going to wait and see what is going on at work next week and if we stay busy then order a new one for it.

I agree Bill, it was a blast. The Night of fire is synonymous with racing till the sun comes up, drinking some beers after you lose and then spectating till the finals. Had it not rained, we would have been doing just that. We were up till the end, and then some. The night was awesome, from the pro mods to the fireworks, which BTW, rivaled Norwalks fireworks show. If one wants to be home by 1, 2 or even 3 a.m., then obviously the N.o.F. is not your cup of tea. There were hundreds of cars and even more spectators, and the track crew did an outstanding job all night. And trust me when I say this, these long weekend races, by the last day you're exhausted. We are so lucky to have that place in our back yards. I can't wait till next years show.

Greg and the rest of PRP staff, great job with this weekends race. The track was great and it was really cool racing til the sun came up. Nice car count and crowd. Sure wish we could have finished before the rain set in but that pretty much describes this year. Really enjoyed myself and got to talk to a lot of the regulars that I do not see very often. Cool hanging with Bubba, Yuk and the OBs. Kinda sounds like a country band, just not as smart, LOL.

Just using one of my favorite lines from Miracle Max. Big Grin I have to call BTE and see what changed... had to cut the pads for correct clearance, then I'm hitting flexplate to crank bolts. I think a solution is to put a spacer in between the block and trans, but want to see what they say. Put my buddy's BTE converter in, and it's the same as mine, before I cut the pads.

A big tip of the cap to the track crew at PRP, for all of their hard work as the day turned into night, and turned into the next day. It was great to see the huge turnout in the stands and in the lanes. Bill, it was great to see the Cougar in action! Big Grin John, Jim, good to see you guys over, hope you'll be able to make it back before the year is out.

Reminder to points racers, we race both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

And don't forget, thanks to Hard Metal Tooling, Modified will pay $1000 to win for the remaining 4 points races, and thanks to Carmen Tedesco, and Carmen's Cafeteria, Street will pay $500 to win for the remaining 4 points races.

Thanks to Tedesco Racing for adding to the purse the last 2 weeks, and to Mike's Auto Body, for making the Night of Fire purses in all classes awesome!
