I must mention Paige Hamlin for retrieving my car keys from between the console and the seat. If not for her I might still be there. She does a h=ell of a job helping run the show.

Fern, I'm not sure about the OK guy. '66 Impala doesn't ring a bell though.

Mornin y'all.

You guys on the east side probably didn't know him but Mark Kirby, a stock and superstock owner and driver passed away yesterday from cancer. He had the Grape Ape and the Wicked Stiches cars.
I've known Mark for years. We raced the Heritage Series together.
God speed and may he rest in peace. Praying

What a great person he was. I've been a friend for 45 years. He bought his first race car from me in '79. A 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger which was my first. I still remember the smile on his face when he pulled out my driveway with his new toy on a trailer. RIP

BKing let us know where you are. Still have not worked on my car, to hot. Grass to high. Got back from Bristol and then went to WV for family reunion the next week then here for a VA appointment. Went to VA for MRI on my neck. Got front yard mowed and is a foot high once more as it don't stop raining enough to mow it. Took my Mercedes up to Roanoke, VA yesterday to get it worked on, 360mi round trip, to good honest mechanic. What next? Life is good. I see we got Mike Hawks thread to 800 pages, not bad. I passed where he lives coming back from Bristol but did not stop. He is going through some really tough times I understand. Mike is a good person

Happy Friday y'all. Haven't been sleepin over here. Very little time for trolling the internet. Working nearly nonstop, trying to rebuild the bank account. Had a cold winter blast this week. Went from 98+ , not counting the "real feel" last week, to 87'ish this week. Heat came back today though. Break was nice while it lasted. Great news from the week. Picked up my tranny, with the correct input today. Felt like Christmas, loading it in the truck. May be a bit before I get to do more than dropping it on the tool cart, but it's here and ready when I am. Gotta run to Jacksonville tomorrow morning to do a bit at mom n pops old house. House is about 5 miles from CPD, so I'll swing by and catch some of the CCRA/CCMP race. I'm a little surprised they're still going to run it, given the 99* heat forecast. Seems every other track in the southeast has cancelled plans this weekend due to the heat. Hope everyone is staying cool out there.
