I had my '38 ft gooseneck washed and waxed once and I loved it. Yeah, it was pricey but it didn't break my back or make me fall off the ladder.

Been a week since anyone posted here--sooo. Went to Piedmont last Thursday for the Big Dawgs and took a friend that had never been to a drag race before. One went 3.69 @ 210mph and 3 went 3.70 in time runs. Good crowd but it rained before eliminations so may go back tomorrow night. Then Friday got my right eye operated on so I have been sort of one eyed since then but its getting better. No racing, no windshield fixed in motor home, and no part for the Mercedes door. Life goes on. Everyone stay safe

Fern, you take it easy. You know us older fellers don't heal as quick as we use to.

Good evening y'all. Been away for a bit, chasing dollar bills. Hope everyone's doing well. Trolled through the posts of the past week or so to catch up on what's going on. Haven't done much hotrod/race car related for a while. I figure I'll wait until my bank account can comfortably handle it. Hopefully I'm not being too optimistic, but once the old house sells, I might be able to get back to it. I've gotten about 95% of everything moved into the new house and shop, so there is some light at the end of this tunnel. Dunno if I mentioned it before, but during a bad rainstorm a month or so back, I found water all over the shop floor. Thought it was from a skylight and went up top to seal it up. No water since, until last week. Had 3 days of bad storms last week which showed me where the intrusion is. Water pools up at the side of shop and found a way in at the wall/foundation. It drains pretty quickly, but when it's dumping water at the rate these storms did, drainage can't keep up. Now I get to dig a better drainage system to move it to the back 40'ish. I figure if that's the worst thing going on right now, life must be doing pretty good for me. Hope everyone who's out there racing is turning on win lights. Y'all have a great week.

Hope everyone is doing well. We had a typical Memorial weekend storm. 80mph straight line winds. Lost a massive tree pretty close to the house, lots of big limbs down and no power. Nothing major to worry about though. Just gained some firewood. LOL

Y’all have a good weekend.

That will take a few minutes to clean up. Glad that you’re all doing good and no one hurt or major damage to anything other than the yard.

I'll try to catch up. Happy memorial day! People finally came and replaced the motor home windshield. It looks good and they looked like they knew what they were doing. That thing sure cancelled a lot of holiday plans. Took over a month to get Mercedes part from Germany but it came Friday and I now have the door fixed. Over$300 in parts that should have cost $10. Don't know if I mentioned it but I had my eye operated on a couple of weeks ago and had those pain shots in my back last week--pleasures of getting old but all that seems to be working ok. Had a 3 day race at Rockingham this weekend but I wasn't ready + its raining today. Seems like there is just so much to do to just keep up. You all have a good day today and think of the veterans that have past.

Mornin y'all,
Fern, i've used Satellite in the past and they've done a great job. I had to use them once at the March Meet and they drove out 25 mils to replace my window in the pits. Cleaned up all the broken glass and everything. Great service.

Thanks Phil, I feel better now. Floyd these guys were Safelite contractors that only do big RV windshields. They were from Boston which is close to 1000mi from here and had done 3 more on this swing.....sure hate to pay that bill out of pocket. Phil they had a race at Shadyside that had so many people and entries that they had to close the gates and turn people away. I checked them several times on the computer and not once saw a car go down the track.....it to looked like a cluster f---.

Curtis I went to the dentist this morning and got in and out in 10 min and no cost!
Floyd mine got broken by the state mowing crew. Kicked a rock about the size of a softball from the other side of the road + 30 feet up my driveway. Thats my 2nd one courtesy of the state.

You know those bush hogs can throw stuff a long way. Might want to think about not parking there when they are going to do maintenance,

Good evening and happy Sunday. Had a pretty good week and may have what I need to fix my transmission soon. Found a couple of correct input shafts for sale for my tranny. Haven't really been looking for one since it may still take a while to free up time for racing, but I've been keeping my eyes open anyway. 2 of them popped up for sale a few days ago and they have been shipped my way. Should be here this week. Moved a bunch more of my stuff over to the new joint, including a couple of forgotten sbc blocks. My brother dropped them off at my house several years ago. Ended up hidden by other stuff outside and forgotten. They ain't pretty, but I think I'm going try and clean them up and see if they're worth saving. My home track, Coastal Plains Dragway, recently repaved from 330 to the end of the shutdown and ground the concrete for the first 330. From what I hear, they're working on prepping the new surface and should be back racing soon. Hope everyone's doing well out there. Y'all have a great week.

They should have put on a real no prep race before putting any rubber down. Would probably been entertaining. Laughing Hard
