Fern, i think you forgot how to count. I always thought you were 1 year older than me and I'll be 83 the 26th of this month. I thought I wa going to be 84 but my daughter did the math and proved me wrong. She's a teacher so I have to believe her.
Happy Saturday y'all. You're cracking me up with the counting of your years. Love hanging with those who have a few more years and experience than me. Lots to learn from 'em, and typically, really great stories/tales from better days. Hell, I'm a whopping 55, according to my wife, and have to count nearly every time my age comes up. Can't remember much "celebrating" my birthday once I became an adult, until I met my wife. It's just another number to me. To her, it's some sort of a big deal. I rely on her to remind me of that sort of stuff. I've never really cared how old I am, just care about how I feel. In my 40's I felt like I was 70+. In my 50's, somehow I've backed up to feeling much younger. May be something to the whole diet related stuff after all? Less stress has helped quite a bit as well, I expect.
New to us home has me pretty strapped for money. What was anticipated to be under $10,000 in needed repairs, went to over $40,000. Crew working on the last of it today and hopefully finished early next week. Needless to say, racing/hotrod/shop budget went away. Regardless, still on track to get the hotrod back out sometime in the next couple months. Almost moved in now. Used the stove for the first time this morning, so things are looking up. Think I'll open up the shop and mess with a car today. Y'all make this a great weekend...
Rolling out in the morning for a week at Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Progress slow on getting storm damage taken care of up North but it will have to wait. Be home 3 days from the Beach and two 10K races at Farmington to go to. William I have been thinning out the property for awhile now and only have the 2 houses in MD and this one here. Fun when I was young but old is trying to catch me. Funny that young guys don't visit here, just a few of us keep the site going. Stay safe everyone

Shoot I’ll chime in and say good morning. I’ve been following this thread since it started, just never posted in it. It would be nice to run into y’all at the track sometime if I can get back to it. Still raising teenagers at 61 so life stays busy. May God bless all of you.

Well tomorrow I'm headed to the land of fruits and nuts till Sunday. It's funny that it's going to be high 70s here and in Fresno it's supposed to be 50s and 60s with rain. Completely opposite of what I would have expected this time of year.
Y'all have a good rest of your week.

They can’t decide what our weather is going to be. Sunny and mid 70’s today. Maybe rain by Thursday. Just hope Saturday is nice for my daughter’s softball tournament. Travel ball takes up as much time as racing used to and almost as much money. She keeps saying I need to finish my new car so we can go racing again. She still hasn’t forgiven me for selling my old Vega.

Been there. My wife and I coached 3 of our girl’s competitive softball team. March through the end of October. Had a blast but couldn’t race back then. I also coached each of our 2 son’s baseball teams. Loved every second but man I was glad when they grew out of it. LOL

G'day y'all... Welcome Wooley. Good to have another on this thread. Fern, good luck at Farmington. Hope everyone out there is doing well.
Had one heck of a storm here yesterday. I have water on the floor of my shop today. No evidence of it coming through under the doors. Looks like I get to check the skylights 17 feet up. Been procrastinating on buying a ladder tall enough to reach the ceiling. Guess that's on my shopping list this week. Still trying to stay positive about the house itself, but damm if it isn't challenging my patience. Washer hookups decided to spring leaks, both hot and cold this evening. Made emergency run to Lowes for repair crap, instead of getting to eat dinner before it got cold. Beginning to question my decision to allow my wife to spend my money on this place. On a positive note, managed to clean out my primary work truck over the weekend, and got some of the shop organized. Even managed to touch one of the race cars. Made a shopping list for it, and it looks like I need a pay raise to afford it. Good thing my boss likes race cars & hot rods... Being self employed sometimes has its perks?? LOL...
