Well things are back to normal here.....Hot and humid! Got most of yard mowed yesterday and washed one car. Got race car unloaded and in garage so I can fix what I started before I fell out.....Funny thing about these cops shooting people is they shot a white guy right here the other day and we haven't heard a peep and nothing got burned and no looters. Strange.

Fern please don't over do it....the left could care less about the TRUTH , and don't get me started....LOL

Well where is everyone? Fern is almost wide open once more. 5 big pine trees are gone from the front of my yard even if it was hot. I have the brakes fixed and going to Rockingham Friday for the weekend. I have been kind of staying out of the heat some and drinking a lot more water. The deal with my brakes turned out to be the flare broke on a Brake line 6in long. Probably been there 20 years so I guess it just gave up. Everyone keep safe.

We got a littlem respit from the heat so I went to the grocery store this morning. They have rib eye steaks on sale so I had the butcher cut me up 3 1/2" steaks. I do like my thick steaks. Here is a 2 1/4 lb I did last week


I can get 3 meals out of one of those bad boys. Our heat is coming back this weekend. We are supposed to get some of Nick's temperatures.

Been hot here Floyd but less than 105 so it feels cool. The monsoon was a big bust this year bringing us less than 20% of normal. Dang that steak looks amazing , sure wish I could have some but it would be wat to long of a drive.

Fern have good luck this weekend , you need to go lots of rounds and keep drinking that water! Tucson has a three day Labor day event so I'll be there …

Just finished loading up. 10 am here and temp is 90 and heat index is 105. I drank 2 bottles of water and sweat out 3 in a little over an hour. Taking a shower and heading out around noon for Rockingham. Those few that check in here have a good labor day and be safe.

Well I made it home and had pretty good weekend as I made a few rounds and today watched David Hunt who hasn’t raced in probably 10 years run the field in a car he had never sat in. Pretty impressive. He is an emotional guy and showed it after his win. Hope everyone is safe

Glad you had a good weekend. Woody and I have been hunkered down with 100 + degree temperatures.

It was cool yesterday and supposed to be cool again today. Anything below 3 digits is welcome. Saturdays 116* and Sundays 114* were murder. Add in the fires and it wasn't very comfortable in So Cal.
It was cool enough yesterday so I could take Woody with me when I went to my groomer. He loves to see cute girls and they all love his attention.
Y'all have a gooden. Maybe we will go to the car wash to get rid of some ashes.

The air is so bad out here from the fires that We can't go safely outside. Every morning I wake up to a truck covered in ashes. The Santa Anas are supposed to start and right now they would be welcome. we have no air movement to clear the smoke.

You getting any better Floyd? Got up this morning and it was 55 and only going up to the low 70s today. What a relief. I guess tomorrow the monsoon from the hurricane will pour rain on us, you need it and we get it. Local racers cleaned up at the door car race at Piedmont last weekend. 40K winner Ernie Humes had 4 perfect lights!!!!

Good Evening all... I was at the 2 day Tucson Dragway Reunion this weekend had a great time. I forgot about what this media (TV) is doing to us all. Fern you sounded like you had a great time.
Racing in the heat (100 at 2 pm) was not fun, got to semi on Saturday night, Sunday lost in final but I did a great job for and old guy. Young gun (18 with a crew of 4)in a dragster treed me and I took a .0073 stripe as he ran his number with a 1 !!!
This world is changing forever, I wonder how much we all can take of this trash talk that's in the airways . I blame it on not having term limits and social media .... LOL
