LOL! No luck for me today.

I was happy with a .011 in the 1st round, but the .036 in the 2nd didn't cut it.

Don't know, the belt looks good; it does have 100+ runs on it. Lots of throttle ripping can't be good on them.

We have new broken in belt with 5 runs on it now.

Dave, we have around 100 passes on that belt. It looked very good, but I had somebody that clued me in on reading them. I'm going to put them with 75 pass change out.

Well, I'm going through racing withdrawals! The car is in for body/paint & I was hoping to have it back for our July 13th night race. It doesn't look like it will be done.

Anyway, we have 3 points races left & the track counts our best 9 races. Seeing I've skipped two races while the car is down. I need to race these races to hopefully stay in the top 5 for the Bracket Finals.

I made a call today to borrow a low to mid 10 second car for the night race. We'll see how it works out.

I would like to thank the car owner's for trusting me with their family ride. They will be back East racing while I'm trusted with their original pride & joy!

Wow. So out your way, you have to stay in the Top 5 of your eliminator to qualify for your team to go to the finals?

Here (North Carolina), most tracks would happily take you if you ever just entered a points race. It is unusual for teams to even be able to field a full team. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Tom,

I'm sorry I didn't state that right. It's usually the top 8-12 in each class, depending on class size; to qualify for team 1. We usually field a 2nd team for the leftovers.

As for the top 5 that gets into the ROC. IMO, the newer style ROC is watered down.

Getting ready slowly for this coming Saturdays points race with the borrowed car. I've went over the car to get familiar with it, still a pain to get in & out of it. I have to load it in the enclosed trailer yet.

I've been following the weather in more ways than one. Vegas set the all-time record at 120* yesterday, previous was 117*. We start time runs around 8 pm on Sat. & looks like the DA will be around 5,500'. It sucks but the same for everyone!

Any predictions on how many rounds I'll go with the never driven borrowed car? I'm just hoping to get out of the 1st round, anything past that is icing on the cake.

I'm actually thinking about double entering in Pro & S/Pro, to get a couple extra hits on the car. I have to run that by the owner first.

Another big Thank-You to the Price family for letting me borrow their family's race car!!!

I made my goal to get out of the 1st round & a little icing on the cake! I lost in the semifinals with a big advantage .007 to my opponents .09X something. I got rid of what I was holding. I wanted the stripe but screwed the pooch & gave it away!

2BKING was trying to make things happen. Big Grin
