Here in Nevada, we are in a lose-lose situation when it comes to fuel prices. I just read that the feds are kicking around the idea of reducing federal tax on gas. well, we have a law on the books that states whatever the amount of the reduction or discontinuation of federal gas tax is, Nevada will impose an excise tax equal to the reduction amount. Politicians, gotta love em. By the way, we have gone from 3.60 to 4.09 in the last three weeks.

I live 25 miles away from our race track, my tow rig gets 5 miles a gallon. Thats $20 to get there, $20 to get home, I use 5 gallons in the gens in a weekend, another $20, plus $60 for 5 gallons race fuel to TRY to win $150. No bueno. We already use Sams, Smiths and Walmart plus deivery for our food. Wifes doctor is across town so, still need to drive some, but trying to keep it to a minimum.

Woody and I don't really go anywhere much. Everything we do is within a 10 mile radius and I've gotta take him for a ride anyhow. Grocery store is 1 mile, doctor and hospital is 1 mile, grocery store is 1 mile, gas station 2 miles and Total Wine and more is like 6 miles. Tight nit community.

Not sure about fuel costs but I think I saw $3.99 here for deisel.
I just wanted to say Knots Berry Farm was such a great day with my son. I truly recommend it. Clean and short lines.
The conflict with Russia and Ukraine is the perfect opportunity for Biden to start producing oil in our country. He'd make republicans happier by making us energy independent, and his liberal friends couldn't tell him not too, because there is little to no other option.
But yet.... he still doesn't do it.

While an indirect effect of Biden's, the price of oil is spurring activity in the Oklahoma oil field. I've see ads for immediate placement of "floor hands" and also roustabouts.

Local towns here are 4.09 or so. The station closest to work was 3.89, and I gobbled that up at lunch, to the tune of $95 in the yukon. It will probably change before I go home.

'Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures': Elon Musk says the US needs to increase oil and gas output
"Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately," Musk said in a tweet on Friday.
In a follow-up tweet, Musk noted that while it would be bad for his electric car company, sustainable energy solutions aren't immediately available quickly enough to offset limited Russian oil and gas exports.
