Fuel prices are up because demand is up. Folks are traveling again. Back to real offices from virtual, going out to eat and drinks and taking vacations. Production of gas was way down and now yanked the other way.

Someone syphoned nearly all the fuel from my truck last night so I filled it up this morning at our local Chevron station $74.37 for 17.3 gallons. Must be time to increase all the federal and state subsidies to the oil companies since they are all going broke.

Ive got a friend that works at the tank farm here in Vegas, he says tanks are full but cant get the fuel out the gate to the stations due to no trucks. Newspaper said this morning that there are 50,000 tankers sitting idle across the nation with no drivers. I fueled up last week at $3.38, yesterday, $3.84. Two stations close to me had the yellow bag on their pumps. Only lasts overnight or at most 24 hours, but still.......

I can't buy that, pump prices are over $1.00 higher than they were just before the plandemic.

Yeah, but it has been going up since the clown was inaugurated in January, and as for the 4th of July Holiday, well the price has not dropped a penny, actually has continued to go up since the holiday ended 2.5 weeks ago.

Gas prices have fluctuated with the markets, fluctuated with the current events in the Middle East and fluctuated under every president and like everything else over the past 43 years since I’ve been driving, fuel is more expensive today. It is what it is. No one stops driving, no serious bracket/class racer stops racing due to the price at the pump. It doesn’t effect the daily life of 99.9% of the people in this country.
That last sentence might need some reconsideration. EVERYTHING that EVERYONE buys, travels by truck. Hyperinflation is already coming on quickly. In 3-6 months, 50% or more of the people in this country might disagree with that observation. Especially if the shytshow in our nation's capital decides to shut off the free money spigot. And while we racers are generally more fortunate than most, think about the ripple effect through the economy, when fuel prices double. No big deal for the ones who drive an import econobox 20 miles a week. But for those who were burning $80 a week, and it goes to $160. $320/Month becomes $640. That difference of $320 a month LESS in expendable income, means cutting out restaurants, hair salons, bars, shops, hotels, baseball games, whatever. Multiply that by tens of thousands of consumers in a single mid-size city, and you realize those businesses have to make cuts to survive. They lay folks off, who now can't spend their share, and the vicious downward spiral accelerates. Seen it several times in my life, and I suspect this one is going to be a bigger bytch than anything we have seen.

Politics aside, here are the facts as I see them...under trump's energy policy we were energy independent and actually an exporter of fuel...prices at the pump were considerably lower than under the current administration...under biden's energy policy prices at the pump are clearly higher and he is begging OPEC to sell us more oil...in other words we are back to being foreign energy dependent...again, politics aside, which policy do y'all think is better for the country?...this is not rocket science, folks...

I can attest to that. There is large tank farm about 1/2 mile in back of the house. Traffic in and out i have noticed is at a crawl.Inbound and outbound goes past the house out on the two lane.

Speak of the devil.I know two drivers pretty well that haul fuel out of that farm. I have not seen them in weeks. I service their tractors on break downs.

The last research I did showed if the USA politicians really cared about green emissions, we could cut world emissions by 6%, just by supplying Canada with USA crude oil.

They don't care about emissions, they care about pushing a green agenda. People in the government are already invested in the green energy that they are pushing into law. They can't insider trade any longer, but that is a major grey area.

Anyone who thinks any politician is for us is lying to themselves!

Simple Math folks.
They (Biden Lovers) are happy with what is going on.
As one senator put it: Get oil above $7 - $8 a gallon and the country will be begging for more use of electricity for cars, boats, motorcycles, ATV's etc.
And to "Heck" with all those polluters in the North that use Heating oil or natural gas to heat their homes. Make them use electric heat.

Unfortunately these losers forget that most electricity is generated by oil or coal and not BS Solar Panels and Wind turbines.
If these were so good then WHY do they subsidize them so heavily?
Answer: because they S U C K.

Of coarse fuel prices are up .That Happens when you go from energy independent to depending on what others sale you in less than a year, Funny thing is something else happened around same time as the beginning of the end of energy independence for this country. Want to guess what?
