Here's some classic Ed, he definitely didn't get it right! He made that statement on page 13 & left the thread around page 15.

Fact is, the thread lasted approximately another 150 pages & approximately 3 years later still going. Good job Bender & you didn't even start the thread!

LOL, it's not going to be a racecar, just something to have fun with on the street and take to the track when the mood moves me.

Best so far 12.58, 100% stock except for sticky tires. Not bad for a 4000# tank with a 370 cu in engine.

It should run low 11's when I'm done with it and still be very streetable, quiet, smooth idling, etc

Yup. Never thought about the fact that I didn't start this thread, good point.

So I guess it's not just another "beating my own drum" thread! Big Grin

But, while were at it "just another white trailer" thread, 47 pages. This thread 165 pages.

So, you retired from T/D. Is the car above the only thing you race on the track now? I'm considering something like this when I give up the race cars.

Yes it's the only thing I have I take to the track and that is not very often. even though it is much much slower it is still fun, plus it's fun to drive on the street handles well cruises down the interstate nice.

As Moe said, I have changed the converter to an FTI (what else?) with slightly higher stall than stock and have tightened up the posi with more clutches, didn't change the gear ratio (3.06), I still want to be able to cruise comfortably on the Interstate.

I have another 6.1 (370 cu in) Hemi that I am going to build for this car. It will still be a very streetable deal, smooth idling (almost), good street manners, quiet exhaust, etc. But it will be 7.0L (426 cu in) after stroking it. The heads have already been cnc'ed and it will be higher compression with more cam than the stock engine...….

For some reason I keep eyeing those belt driven air pusher things too...….

Didn't think of that
