These democrats are something else ain't they, lie. cry, deny without any hesitation / conscience.

Ed knows this is the original call, Nova the winner, he also knows it's self evident the Nova is the winner.

Ed also knows the wagon was loaded up, tied down with the door shut 45 minutes before track officials at Bradenton invented a fantasy story to put the wagon back in the race.

Yet he lies, cry's and deny's without conscience.

Yep these democrats are something else.

Great job Mr. Beard. Taking a position elevates you among promoters. We will be at some of your events next year.

Good for NHRA to take a stand as well.

license revoked means he can drive a 6.50 door car with no license. at least he will hit somebody at a slower rate of speed I suppose.

I am fairly unemotional about this as it doesn't affect me as I have stated. I am glad to see that there will be consequences for his actions and he should learn some sort of lesson. I am sure he is a good dude for those who know him personally and I wish no ill will towards him. he is a good driver who made a dumb decision and now will live with the decision made by nhra. in the end it probably wont hurt him to bad if any. and as I have stated he probably wont lose any support from sponsors. a year suspension seems about right or like somebody said he will pay a fine and be back sooner. someone will take care of him during this, which I don't care either way about that either.

ep-maybe he can sell used cars for bo butner during the suspension or something.

The migrants coming across the boarder as they are doesn't directly affect me today. Should I not have an opinion about that situation? Hell this is kind of what these forums are for. State your opinion and look at what others have to say.

NHRA typically does not publicly publish their ineligible racers list that is periodically updated and sent out to every NHRA member track.

If someone on that list or someone who they have suspended from competition is allowed to participate at a event of any type at a NHRA member track, the track can lose their NHRA affiliation.

I sure hope all you people have all your stuff up to date, licenses. pants, jackets, gloves, etc. Chassis certifications. And oh yeah, all you guys going quicker than 4.49 better have your -15 suit and neck restraint on or some internet nazi is going to publically hang you and get the track in trouble with NHRA if they don't enforce the rules.

We all agree what he did was wrong and the track should have handled it differently but they didn't. Do you really want big brother sticking their noses in here?

Well I know you don’t need a shirt, pants, a neck collar or gloves. Foot wear is required but is influenced by personal choice from flip flops all the way to cowboy boots.

I think the punishment is appropriate. I also wonder what would have happened if he had stuck to his original lie.

Anyone else seeing trend developing here? apparently Ed doesn't see his driver being competitive, racing with people in cowboy boots and flip flops.

Where is an advantage in wearing flip flops Ed? Or cowboy boots for that matter? Confused

This begs me to ask the question.

Myself and several other friends are planning to go to the Spring Fling in Vegas next year.

The last time we went I had contacted Kyle and asked if our IHRA credentials and certifications would be accepted. I was told no problem.

Until we got there...
Then because they were using NHRA tech guy's We were told we could not race unless we had NHRA license and certifications.
We went to Kyle and he eventually basically took our tech cards and let us run. He actually paid for 2 of our cars to have a NHRA sticker put on them.
I had talked to the Div director and told him I was a chassis inspector for IHRA and if he would not accept my sticker then I would load up. He pulled me aside and after a discussion he said I could run with mine.
Both NHRA and IHRA use the same SFI specs for certification so it should not have even came up.
So it looks like I will need a letter of acceptance before I load up next year to head out there. Some of the stuff NHRA requires is not the same in IHRA.

Dave

They had to move the Million to Muncie Dragway, AFTER the event opened, over tech issues once....

That led to an Alternate Sanctioning Body exclusion for promoter track rentals and such.

I assume your incident was prior to that option being available?

All the NHRA tracks are under the NHRA umbrella for insurance required to hold an event. Without the NHRA, tracks couldn't afford to provide the type of insurance they get under the NHRA umbrella, in order to turn a profit.
